Cheap High Quality Bubbler

My man coming in strong with the logic

I am not paying hundreds of dollars for something that functions the same as a $50 one. I don't care where it's from if there's just a couple mm (if that), and a watermark/signature separating the 2 lol.

It may "feel" or "look" nicer (and fuckin hell it better for all that money) but if I wanted some art I'd buy a goddamn painting lol

I'd still probably buy a bong =D. But I'd know I'm buying it for art.

The thing is, you can get great American glass from instagram blowers direct. After following people like @mrbonsai420 you can get great glass relatively cheaply. So I also just wouldn't pay sticker price for American Glass. I don't even like doing it for Chinese glass but I mean, they have to eat I guess so I almost feel bad haggling another couple dollars away.

@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd has some GREAT glass and sometimes does some great sales on here. I'd check out blowers direct.

Otherwise, you're just paying for the brand/name recognition.

I'm obsessed with this style glass. I'll get one of his for art. But my pieces that are "art" will sit in my glass case and rarely come out I bet. My Mobius sits in the closet. Rarely used now.

Yeah, heady glass is def another category. I just meant the "brandname" stuff that for some reason is astronomically expensive.

Heady stuff requires hella talent and def is functional art.

A $200+ labglass bubbler is just... odd.

I have an authentic mobius matrix bong, and a lot of Stevenlmz79 glass. It's comparable in thickness. You can get terrible thickness glass from low quality sellers. Go for ones that are reputable. I'll be adding this to my site as I've Blanket ordered from a lot of sellers to see their quality. Kathy was terrible for glass thickness but she isn't around anymore.

As for cleaning, it's again glass. It's easy to clean almost no matter what. Iso bath in a bag with salt and you will get it clean. Wouldn't worry on that front. A bent neck isn't in anyway harder to clean. You simply wrap the opening with kitchen wrap, rubber band them tight, have some iso and salt in your piece and shake away. A 5 gallon of simple green cleaner is $20. Cleaning costs very very little and is super easy. Do you not current own glass? This seems like an odd concern of trying to find glass that would be "easier to clean". Unless you're looking for a piece you can literally put a brush down, you're fine....

As for how often? Depends on you I vape 3-4 times a day, and I clean not that often my pieces stay clean. Vapor is by nature quite clean so you don't get too much buildup.

I'm unsure of how you'd mate it with the herbalizer, but I imagine there must be an 18mm adapter that allows pieces to attach easily.

Again... I say this is simply glass blowing... China makes all types of complex things. They can make glass that is thick. It's easier to make than an iPhone or anything else they assemble. Simply being American made isn't enough to pay a ton of money.
This is just something the industry has pushed out there, it makes zero logical sense.

Edit: I'd be worried about buying Chinese glass if it was a design that China hadn't made yet. Then it will take them awhile to copy that design decently well. A simple basic piece like that there is little chance I pay more than $50. We just had someone post a sale for that style piece for $50 for American glass I believe.

If I'm paying for American glass it's for a design that China can't even begin to copy... Not something basic like that.

I also got this quote in the PM, "Water tools are not nearly as easy to keep clean as the steamroller. Water pieces tend to have lots of nooks and crannies and can be difficult to get completely clean without time and trouble. The steamroller can be cleaned in a minute of so with some iso. As I've mentioned before, it does very well in the dishwasher."

I guess the steamroller would be easier to clean cause it has a simpler design, but maybe it's not a big deal either way. It would be nice to use the dishwasher though. I have so much going on, and I want to minimize hassles in my life.

I don't have any glass, and I haven't hit a bong for probably decades. I got a medical card since I have a spinal cord injury, and I've just been using this vaporizer.

I think I'll have to get an adapter. I'll ask them for the ideal one in the Herbalizer thread.

I am leaning towards the Matrix bong since it's cheaper, and has more options except for the carb.

Thanks.

you should get the matrix. It is easy to clean and I think you want a water piece to save your throat. A carb will only make it harder because you will have to keep your finger there to get a hit. Removing the adapter takes the place of a carb. A dishwasher won't clean vape resin anyway and it is still no easier than rinsing with iso or simple green

Word, thanks. I am leaning towards getting this Matrix piece at this point. I appreciate all the tips.

I understand what you're being PMed. It's overthinking it. You're at the point where you're asking whether 360 bristles on a brush is better than 361.

It's glass. You seal each end of it, just like you would the steam roller, shake it up with iso and salt, and it's clean.

Of course, I get this question when I'm editing my youtube video on this subject. I thought it was boring, but now I see why it's needed.

Trust me, it's simpler than you think.

It's like looking at an M3 vs a Corvette, and the primary concern being which one cleans better at the car wash. They both get clean with the same amount of effort. Doesn't matter what you're cleaning the process is the same. Seal the ends, shake it.

You're vaping, so it causes a lot less need for cleaning.

Edit: If you were doing combustion this would be a whole different topic. Vaping keeps things clean, and I believe the minivap is the easiest vaporizer to keep clean.

I think I am going to get the Matrix bong. I just need to find the right adapter for it.

That's a good point about vaping vs smoking. My roommate's bong was crazy dirty, and I'm glad I won't have to deal with something like that.

Was Steven's store not stellar product before? Did I just get lucky? I think there is like 1 bubble, which I don't care about. Maybe the one base isn't completely flush and wiggles ever so slightly..

I has a better experience than you. If someone sells you a wobbly base are you kidding me?
Ask him to either send you a new one, or refund you some money. I would not under any circumstances put up with a wobbly base.
That's an imperfection too far.

I never thought about it that way, perhaps it's not as wobbly as i'm making it sound to be, however imma gunna double check and see! Thanks for making me think twice about it dude.

I got a wobbly base on my FC-188 v2. I provided pics and was told I could get a 40% discount, or get a reship after I broke the piece.

Too much trouble for the reship. I've been living with the wobbly base by using it on my mouspad and it's not too bad of a wobble, even with 4 dogs+2claisens on it.

I do think it's unacceptable and I was pretty pissed but it's chinaglass and whatever. Life goes on. It still works so meh.

Won't be buying from that prick bastard again though

No problem. I mean it's Chinese glass I don't expect it to be perfect. But wobbling even slightly isn't fair to us.

I like us too much to accept that shit on our behalf :-).

If you'll order new stuff don't forget a set of adapters and downstems for cheap.
And if you should choice the FC-UFO don't forget to order mps and whip adapter as replacement

I never thought about the mouthpieces for the UFO...are there many to choose from? I don't do whips! GROSS!!! <--- I got that from ataxian in the Solo 2 thread with regard to reclaim/abv.... almost lost my dinner I LOL so hard! :D

Isn't the opening a standard 18MM female for the mouthpiece?

Yes, it's a 18mm male or female.. The difficulty seems rather to find mouth pieces pleasant to use (not too big at the opening). This is the reason why Ataxian went through OGB i think..
So if someone has a DHgate plan for this kind of mouth piece parts with 18mm male or female connectors..

The stickable mp (18mm) is a regular flatened wide one. But much less wide than a "normal" MP.

MP of the whip you can use to stick it with a piece of silicone into the opening of your regular pb like ataxian does. So it could be worth ordering at least some whip mp. The replacement parts are available on demand at Steven and cost around $3 each.

Haven't read the post of ataxian regarding whips!? Any link?

Aside of this I like to use the whip very much when vaping with friends -or lying in the bed. It's pretty comfortably to let stand the bubbler in the middle of your table and just turn the whip adapter a little bit and passing the whip to the next. It's a lot more secure. Most glass of mine broke while cleaning or by baked friends while a sesh.
