Anybody have preferences between the double shower head and the star dome perc on those vapor blunt tubes? Thinking about pulling the trigger on one after looking at them more.

Hey guys! Long time

I still check back on you guys from time to time. This is the thread that got me ADDICTED to american glass lol. I started with 1 Chinese piece and then 20 Chinese pieces, then BAM... I decided I would rather save for 1 pretty colored US piece than have 4 more Chinese pieces. So I post my glass in the recent acquisition thread instead now. But in reality THIS thread was to find quality glass at a good value and several of my recent auction wins apply to that, so I figured I would show you guys too. I got this 14mm Deppes darkness and purple lollipop incalmo for a friends birthday coming up on 4/20! Then second, This little 10mm traveler has no splash, fits in your pocket, and was very inexpensive . Made with Metaterrania, amber purple and blue dream. I also picked up a colored ball rig that is thick as hell for a steal on an IG auction! Custom flame colored.

The forth rig is a Hondo and expensive as hell and has no place here :lol:

I just wanted to show you!

and @Elbuort19 , Go with the little fab beaker @Andreaerdna suggested out of all of those. It's one of the few that rival the functionality of my US pieces! And if you want the best oil rig the FC-710 or rattle can diffusion pump cannot be beat.

He's got heady, silver fumed and UV:

Prices look good too but he's a bit of a newbie - 406 transactions.

I see this and ZDGlass posted a lot on other spots. I'm just not that into the heady stuff unless the function is interesting, and none of that stuff really has been. But I m ean if you like it go for it.

I have no idea how they do the UV stuff though. I'm just irrationally terrified of colored Chinese glass.
I thought of sending it to a lab for XRF testing, I think I even found a reasonably priced lab, but then I just decided I was going to way too much lol. They need to make XRF Analyzers cheaper!

@Elbuort19 I fill it with iso, let soak and then ultrasonic bath...any glass is clean fast and easy

I'm looking for a mini bubbler or ash catcher with a (m or f) 18mm and about 45 degree upward facing intake.

This looks great but I wanted to post here and see if anyone had something similar they liked.

What do you use for ultra sonic bath? I saw the article and want to get one of those machines for cleaning. How are they?

Cheap (30€) amazon one (elliptic 600ml tank). It works great for small items. Tank full of water, items in a smaller bottle filled with iso or caustic soda (ti tip of a vapcap came out sparkling clean with soda), bubbler direct in tank filled with iso. I let soak for a night and then 5min of ultrasounds, it replaces the hassle of salt shakering, but unless lightly dirt, soak time is still necessary for me.

Sorry for the late response.
Both are equally good.
I think the star dome perc edges out the win when it comes to flavor but its very close.
As for draw resistance the star dome has a bit of chug to it, not too much, but a little.
And the double showerhead has practically zero draw resistance.
When I have all three in front of me I do reach for the Star dome more but that's just personal preference.

May have to get that. I had been looking for one since I saw the forum post about it on here, but the ebay prices were expensive. Under $150 isn't bad at all if it removes cleaning. Too bad you can't fit big bongs.

Ouch that hurts!!! :doh:

If I drop a China piece oh well spend another $40 and get another. I bought a custom recycler from @budderglass for $250 second weekend I reached across the table and sent it flying to the floor... :cry:

Gotta be extra careful with those expensive CIVILIZED custom rigs :wave:

I hear ya @ataxian i'm not much different busting 2 glass pieces recently. I will probably never buy glass again unless it's a china dhgate piece for $50 or less. Both glass pieces I broke were more than $50!

Accidents with glass just can happen so easily!
