Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Ataxian, sell the stuff you don't want in the classifieds so you can buy one of the better pieces you do want. Most start with cheap to see if they like water. I am glad I didn't buy anything expensive as I barely use water. I did last night as my lungs are taking a hit at the moment I think maybe from all the rain but who knows.

This. I went with the idea that if I bought a HQ piece that I wouldn't ever need to buy another one. While the piece I bought is gorgeous, I don't ever use water because it dilutes all the taste.

That being said, Colie glass is a great place to find your first piece.

dilutes the taste? where do people get such ideas from? The only thing water filers is BIOCARBON's: which any case are considered poisonous by many administrations.....

From experience? I love your know-it-all attitude though, you're gonna go far with it.

Mod note: This is bordering on not being nice....

The links are highlighted in white in the article. Just click on any of them and use the contact seller button you'll see on the right hand side of the page under "Seller's Information". The button is in blue writing just to the right side of the picture of the guy holding the flask.

I'll PM you his email address if I can find it from when I ordered some stuff.

Edit: Anyone else just send me a message if you want the address.

Do you think the mini thick bubbler is easy to tip over? Even with the wide base the center of gravity seems pretty high..
What do you think ?

Colie Glass have released a new matching ashcatcher to go with the Mini Thick Bubbler and it's priced at $32 with the FC discount when you pay direct. As with the Mini Thick Bubbler the matching ashcatcher is made with Schott glass and thick German Lenz joints. It also has a wall thickness of 5mm and the downstem is removable. It is available in both 14mm and 18mm sizes. Here is what it looks like.

Of course you don't have to use it with the Mini Thick Bubbler and can pair it with any piece you like as long as you have enough clearance. However you can purchase both pieces together as the Double Stack Mini Thick Bub for a total price of $67 with the FC discount when you pay direct. I have to say that personally I think they look like they go together rather nicely, here is a picture so you can judge for yourself.

As always contact Andy direct to get the discount either through the Contact Seller button on the right hand side of the page in the Colie Glass store or I can give you his email address if you'd prefer. Just PM me if you want me to send it to you.

Edit: Shipping on the ashcatcher is $4 to the US, $7 to Canada and $14 for International orders. Shipping on the "Double Stack"(both the Mini Thick Bubbler and ashcatcher together) is $6 to the US, $10 to Canada and $16 for International orders.

As always any text highlighted in white is a link to the relevant page.

Awesome! Kinda' looks like a mini VXL devastator, hmm could get some showerhead downstems? Maybe more slitted like the new vaporbros bubbler. Looks effective as is anyway though.
$67? Ridiculously awesome deal, I might even get a set.

Colie Glass is really hitting home with the incredible value buys. If you're in the market for a nice piece of glass but aren't looking to spend big bucks you really can't go wrong with a piece from Colie.

Colie offered me a great deal on the mini thick bubbler, but in the end I landed up getting a piece from my LHS. cost me about 15bux more than Colie (LHS gave me 20bux off asking price) but I got it now and don't need to worry about over seas shipping.

If you can't get a good piece at your LHS, I would highly recommend Colie Glass, great customer service!!!

I'm guessing Andy read your post because he's now added this Showerhead Downstem to the Colie Glass store. It's available in 14mm and 18mm so you could purchase one with the "Double Stack" and have a spare stem. Spares are always good, right?

It's cute, but I don't really see much point beyond that. You won't notice the extra "diffusion" as much as you'll notice the added drag from the extra path length and direction changes, with such tiny volume.

I'd like to see an ash-catcher version of his 14" Circ Bubbler, though. Talk about a budget Devastator...

Awesome! Kinda' looks like a mini VXL devastator.

...okay, someone almost did.

Yeah, the 14" circ doesn't have the "removable downstems", but your options for those with the mini set are basically just slotted or perforated anyway. Although thinking about it, I think the single chamber on the 14" has similar volume to both chambers combined on a real Dev, so it'd probably be a bit of a lung-buster adding an ash-catcher.

Still, I bet if Andy made a Devastator knock-off (Destroyer? Annihilator?), with enough tweaks to make it legally distinct, I bet he'd sell a bundle. He'd probably sell it for half what a real one costs, or less, even, looking at his pricing.

I just noticed that Colie Glass have released a new "Mini Thick Bubbler" and it's priced at $50 retail so that works out to $40 with the 20% FC discount when you pay direct. As always contact Colie Glass through the contact seller button on the right hand side of the webpage to receive the discount.

It comes in at a height of 5-6 inches and has a wall thickness of 5mm. It's made with Schott glass and thick German Lenz joints so you're getting some real quality especially for such a low price.

Shown above is the low profile 14mm version but you can also get it in 18mm as well, both version come with a matching bowl like the one you can see here. As can be seen in the pictures the diffused downstem is removable for easy maintenance which for me really adds to the attraction of this piece.

Shipping is less than $5 in the States and $7 to Canada. International members, of which I am one, should also note that the shipping costs are very reasonable at $15.25.

Edit: Please note that the text highlighted in white are links to the relevant store pages. Thanks ataxian for pointing out that I could have made that clearer.

Richy, looks like you got pearl diffusion holes while Collie's site shows slits in the diffuser.
Any bubbles in the glass joints? And is everything straight and not crooked?

The pearl hole diffusion was an early model, I think Andy decided it would work better with the slitted stems after testing.

I'm afraid I don't own these particular pieces but both the bubbler and the ashcatcher are made with Schott glass and Lenz joints so I highly doubt there will be any bubbles since it's the best quality you can get as far as I know. It looks pretty straight from the pictures and everything I own from Colie Glass is straight, also if you look at all the other pieces in the store you can see the workmanship is top notch.

Quite a few people on FC have purchased stuff from Colie Glass and I haven't once seen anyone complain about bubbles or stuff being crooked, he's an American artist and I know he takes a lot of pride in his work so I imagine you'll be very safe buying from him.

I'm currently torn between Andy's triple nested showerhead:
http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/pro...ple_cirq_waterpipe/fine_art/glass/pipes/other

and the cirq to cirq bubbler by badassglass:
http://www.badassglass.com/circ-to-circ-bubbler.html

It would be paired with an LSV and potentially my Pax, has anyone used anything similar to either of these pieces that could offer me some advice on the amount of diffusion and chugginess either of these perc styles would provide? Other opinions welcome.

Other opinions welcome.

If you can stretch to the '14" Honeycomb to Turbine Waterpipe - Flower Bowl Included', I think you'd find it a much better pipe. Nicer ergonomics and much higher potential "diffusion", especially with a turbine stacked on top of the froth-spewing honeycomb. As a stemless honeycomb there should be some subtle chug but the draw feel is more of a soft purr. Not sure how the extra drag from the turbine will modify that but I don't imagine it would be all that different subjectively.

The top one is lame for the medical user.
I like the link to badglass better.

For a cheap piece go with this one.
Look at the VAPOR BROS as well.
I like the size of the mouth piece.

For a little more money this one is not bad at all!

In the future you will spend $200 plus!

For your first rig this will be fine.

That ' looks ' like the one Enrico had for the Sub testing party I attended .
The downstem opening was at a 90 degrees angle , pointing straight up .
But it was positioned slightly further apart from the bubbler .
I forgot to ask him , what it was . It looked like a Mobius version . idk
Maybe I'll find it on PV's site .

But ya , at $ 120 , that's a good price .
I'm pretty sure , I can only afford the Adapt A B for $ 500 .
and grab a water tool to attach to it for dual purposes .
Unless that was the Mobius , they are pricey .

edit ;
Speaking of

but I think it was this one I tried ;

did the micro circ fit? and it looks like they are on vacation thru the 11th

He handled everything for me , so I'm not even sure if that's the one .
It looks like it tho , I just inhaled and enjoyed .
Good point about the circ .
That is why I'm trying to learn off the veteran owners first .

PV is offering the ' Blaze ' as a compatible bubbler ,
so I'll probly go with that one for a 1 stop shop n buy .

I really like the mods you've done to the Sub .
