I just thought my perc slits may not be angled right, or something. I've tested many different water levels. I'm still pretty happy with it, it milks up really well with the lotus. Just noticed your tornado action appears to be wider and reaches the edges of the tube, where as mine, stays centered and small.

I have it in my head that I NEED a 10mm micro rig. I blame each and every one of you. Anyway I know a lot of folks here have picked up a lot of the offerings from DHGate. I also know that there have been quite a few reviews several pages back...and I plan on going back and reading for retention. While I am doing that though anyone want to throw out some personal favorites? Will be used for concentrates only, if that makes any difference. Thanks!

TL; DR-sell me on a micro rig.

Hands down IMO the baby layer cake beats all others. It has a 3 hole perc and if you put the water about 1/8" above the perc it is literally impossible to get water in your mouth. I know this cannot be said about some of the other 10mm nanos. It also pairs wonderfully with the 10mm domeless nail from New-Vape

There is also this one. Looks like the perc has a few slits so that will be good. The mouthpiece comes off the top too so it appears it would be very hard to get water mouth :)

The planet rig looks the best but the one giant hole perc does "ruin" it in a sense. Still a crazy good nano rig for under $30 :) my baby cake gets more use though, but the planet looks incredible on the shelf :)

I've been looking at that mini layer cake for a while now. Yamin5 also has one in his shop but it says 14mm 6" so if you want larger... I keep going back to the kathy cake and might just have to make that my next addition. Still trying to space these out a bit more...GAS is inflating again. What I really need is to get on a torch so I can eventually just make my own custom stuff... soon...it will be.

I do not dislike the one hole perc, it's good for flavor. I enjoy the old school chug, it hits pretty smooth for the size !

Yeah I'm more new school with the scientific percs etc so the one hole isn't preferable to me. I like at least a few holes to make it not quite as chuggy but that is all just personal preference stuff :D

But you are definitely right, it does hit smooth and the flavor is spot on! Plus the one hole won't get clogged as easily compared to a perc with multiple smaller holes :)

I've asked her to post more size info, she said she would. For instance the little color rigs above are shown as 3" high on another site, that's a bit small for me.

It's 14mm and over 6" high, a better size I think.It's a bit more difficult to clean, cuz you can only kind of pour water through it, rather than shaking (I do use PBW, but have to pour it in with a small funnel).

You could probably smooth it out by dropping some glass beads down there. The end of the stem is open, but it's pretty close to the bottom of the can. You just need beads that are slightly too large to fit through the ring-shaped gap formed between the bottom of the stem and base of can, and they'll split up the output of the chuggy single opening into multiple emergent ones. I bet you could find beads of the right size for just a few dollars on eBay or similar.

I think this is what you are talking about but I don't know how you would get these into the planet rig. I actually don't see how it would really help even in the video. Pouring marbles into your tube seems like a recipe for disaster

Fill the sink and submerge the rig under water roll them babys down the mouth piece, done deal, but just me I would leave it as it is, its small ,how bad could the chug be? :hmm: YMMV:shrug:

In this case, they don't go in the can but down the stem, in the little male joint. You only need just enough to cover the gap between the bottom of stem and can, so they convert it to behave like a crude circ; they don't move around in operation. The size of beads you'd use is determined by the width of that gap; they have to be large enough to stay trapped in the stem, but small enough to divide the output into multiple streams. They'd just be cheapie glass beads from wherever, not any special kind. Hole in them or not, irregular shape, whatever, it doesn't matter; all they need to be is glass and the right size, roughly.

I just purchased the YQ-42 and recieved it in the mail, it's a truly awesome piece for the price. I was really surprised at how thick the glass is, it feels nice and hefty and the welds are pretty decent. I LOVE the percs; the matrix perc on my piece is flawless and combined with the honeycomb perc it gives you an amazingly smooth hit with less drag than you might expect. It hits really well and doesn't "chug" - as long as you get the water level correct. I'm able to do larger dabs on it than other pieces because it is so smooth. Honestly, I'm very impressed. I've purchased glass on DHGate and Aliexpress before but this is my favorite piece thus far. :tup::science:
