Got my D020 today! This thing looks great and has a nice weigh for only $29. Couple little bubbles and hair line scratched on the welds but nothing super noticeable. Also got the 10 slits.

One question if anyone could help- a while back I asked in this thread if I needed any sort of adapter or anything to pair the solo with this piece and was told no...but I am a bit confused on how to use them together, the stock stem for the solo is way too thin for the D020, and no adapter that came with the D020 or Solo fixes this...I am a bit of a noob here and first time pairing my Solo with anything (also my first actual real bubbler). Help?:huh:

I'm no expert but I think you will need an 18mm gong to use it with the Solo. The only place I know that sells them is Planetvape. Other more experienced guys could chime in but I think what I'm telling you is right. Also, last time I checked Planetvape only had 14mm gongs in stock.

A rubber band or oring wrapped around the solo stem will work in a pinch!

Thanks everyone! Will buy an adapter and maybe I'll try to rig something in the mean time! Wish I would have known this before ahhhhhhhhh more waiting time! Highly doubt the lhs would have adapters whatsoever but will stop by tomorrow to check.

US$11 each in quantity. Can anyone find the individual piece listing?

I bet this is the exact same glass PlanetVape was once selling for US$60 (IIRC). Kinda torpedoes the whole notion of adding a relative premium to the cost of a piece for being tiny, like you see with most American glass these days.

What are you waiting for, Solo and Pinnacle owners? Get going! I would, but I already own a real one. I paid US$50 on sale, but I could have had four of these full-price for the same cost. The small holes in the splash guard look like it might not drain well, but the real (Pinnacle) one doesn't drain well either.

(The only concern I have here is the lack of the usually-present higher slashes in the splash guard might cause it to perk any water that is drawn through it, turning it into splash enhancer. Guinea pigs, er, courageous volunteers will be needed here...)

For that price I'd order a lot, but once again, the shipping is killing it for me. 120 USD/lot shipped is just to much. Also, as you point out, the whole splashguard design is a bit weird. Seems awfully close to your mouth when used as well. Could just be the picture though.

Guys I'm in Asia though unfortunately so might make the group buy a bit impractical. Actually I just sent her a message asking if she would sell me one unit at a higher price. I don't even need one to be honest. I have the PV f- bomb which is also 14mm. Still gas is gas and glass is glass ...

That appears to be the source manufacturer.

If they catch on to scaling up slightly and doing an 18mm one, VapeXhale probably won't be too happy. Would be a nice "Hydratube" to let clueless or drunk friends use, or to take travelling, though. Luckily for VXL the modus operandi of these sorts of outfits is to copy existing products and piggy-back on existing marketing and development efforts rather than actively look for new market segments to modify their stuff to hit. Their strategy is to let others take that risk for them, then undercut with a knock-off the stuff that works (even if they don't understand why it works, or sometimes even what it does).

i have bin speaking with the seller and they dont have stock atm and are very insistent on only selling 5 at a time eaven from the link i gave also telling me to go to the sunshine store on dhgate

they cant do free or cheaper shipping to the uk nether :(
