I think most people like the ice pinch because it diverts water. I mostly use a dynavap, and with the restricted air flow it generally isn't a problem. I just have to be mindful when I clear it.

Better yet, try a WoodScents...cannot beat getting rid of the DV cap to free up the airflow (unless you run 2).

I have iso and an ultrasonic cleaner and will let you know once I get it. Yinmin sent me a function video and it looked pretty good...totally different from anything I already own and I need something that will filter aggressively and hopefully mute the taste of a couple of pounds of not-so-great buds I need to press and get through. (fucking 2-spotted mites)

I got one these at a cheaper price, I think $170CDN. Also small fritted disc ash catcher. Neither was very hard to clean and use the bubbler mostly for combusting hash.

@LesPlenty Lumin88 recycler arrived, very fast shipping actually (the blue recycler I ordered from SmokingBong shipped similarly quick however it is stuck in customs inspection and I'm presuming it's going to get sent back lol) and yeah it's the same as Yingmin5 just a different storefront
Looks like really nice quality, the glass is very thick, everything is even etc. I am feeling a little paranoid about the black glass though, are we sure it's actually glass, and not just black paint?? Just worried about the mouthpiece before I use it, with blue glass I would have been more certain... Asked them

Last order from SmokingBong arrived via SF but the tracking stopped being scanned for a month and then it suddenly arrived by surprise so maybe I'll get lucky with this one as well?!
Always a gamble, mostly I have had a lot of luck, the male heady tentacle rig I ordered from DJsmoke has tracking that has not been updated since November 14 though so hopefully that suddenly arrives too... Finally, those heady drop-down adapters from newpipes have still not actually been sent, they keep just saying please wait patiently, pretty ridiculous, but whatever, not a lot of money, I'll keep waiting I guess

Not sure myself but it looks 'fired in' on mine and yours from what I can see in your picture. My black mouthpiece is still black and in perfect condition the same as when I got it, no wear or chipping at all.

@Shit Snacks - you can get cheap lead testing kits on Amazon. I've put a few china rigs through a test just to make sure. The only failure was a "juice box" rig so far.

I broke the stand on my Large Inline last night 
and I would like to replace it, but my recent experience trying to get a new stem from Goo Roo has discouraged me and I may just look for something else. If there was a big sale going on I might feel otherwise, but that is not the case. I'm not in a hurry, I have other glass, so I have to think on this a bit before I bite...
Since the can and stem are undamaged I may try and create a new base for it, at least temporarily...

Maybe the holidays led to an atypical experience with Goo Roo customer service. Sorry about your broken bubbler either way; my Large Inline is the only piece I use anymore. It's not gonna make you feel any better about your accident but have you seen the new glass thread from iDB? I think the Prodigy is too much of a massive moonshine jug for me but I love the idea of vape-specific bubbler designs. Curious to see the j-hook or whatever dry piece he has in design for March release too.

I'm not sure if you can really call it entirely atypical, since you only have your one experience, and yeah others like me who had good experience, but there are more than one who have had less than stellar experience, just saying, could be the holidays yeah? I mean they're not perfect, like most situations, some people have a good experience but there's always those who do not... Eh just semantics lol
Anyway yeah @cybrguy sorry for your loss, I don't really know what they could even do for you in this case, feel like you would have to buy an entire new piece at full price since they don't even offer the discount you got back then anymore... Fortunate that it is still functional, perhaps it needs to be glued to a wood base, with another piece of wood glued to fit in on top of the wood base in the broken part of the glass, so it is even, can smooth with some resin glue??
Haha yeah prodigy is unique, still plenty left for pre-order I believe, and pretty cheap for the unique functional aspect and thick glass, not cheap compared to most China glass maybe, but the quality is above and beyond I think... Dude everyone is going to love the dry glass piece, it is more than a hook in fact, I helped design it, so so so excited!!
He will have another water piece design available perhaps later in the year, I think we will all be very happy with that as well, depending what he comes up with, I think I shared some good ideas for that too...
Usage Updates: switched to using the little RBR with herbs instead of dabs, much more enjoyable, working really well with Halo... Meanwhile the Lumin88/Yingmin5 recycler was doing well with herbs, though I switched over to dabs with it and that is how it will stay I think, really nice smooth hits with it! Also the heavy base and tall angle of the mouthpiece are phenomenal, I don't have to hold the rig stable at all now, two hands free.

Yeah, this was just a sucky mistake on my part, nothing they did and there isn't really anything they could do to fix it. A piece of wood or plastic or something as a new base may be at least a temporary fix. It is very unstable as it is. I broke it by letting a TM slip out of my hand when I was putting it into the stem while holding the piece in front of me. At least I didn't hurt the TM.
My problem with them is the downstem I ordered from them for the HD3 that (randomly) broke on me which I ordered and paid for has not been shipped (as far as I know) and I have heard nothing from them since paying for it a few minutes after they sent me an invoice for it on 12/30. She told me it would go out in a couple days.

@cybrguy Is the rest of the base shattered in many pieces ? I am pretty sure it can be glued, if not too shattered. Alternatively a wooden base could work too,but it would involve some work and adjustment.
Easiest fix would be a polymer clay . It sticks well with glass and people are actually doing art with it.

I knocked a BCG onto my heady hook, the clear 18 mm female joint unfortunately, only a slight chip crack though thankfully, the glass is super thick! Still a little sad...
Oh yeah have you followed up with them? By email or phone at all since then? Yeah you shouldn't have to though!

I was thinking clay might be the easiest best fix. The pieces that broke off shattered so they are of no use. I am not an artist but I would think remaking the base shouldn't be that hard. I assume a hobby shop might be a good place to get that? Not a fan of Hobby Lobby, but there are others...
Those Monster bongs are quite cool looking...
I have not yet followed up with them cause I am using it as an indicator of whether I want to do more business with them and I want to see their colors. Not looking good so far. As I said I have other glass in the mean time.
This is not China glass. I expect more from them...

I've placed 3 "custom" orders with gooroo. First was awesome, second almost made me write them off completely, third was somewhere in the middle, but in all cases I eventually got what I wanted made in the US for IMO a reasonable price. Persistence and patience are key, and you have to be proactive.
I did the same to a rattle can base, I just used an angle grinder to smooth over any sharp bits and it is now my spare
This sounds more like a DHGate seller at work rather than a US store...

I just assume brick-and-mortar and wholesale sales are larger parts of their biz and they don't have great processes in place for online sales that aren't "stock". I don't intend to steer people away from gooroo, just temper expectations. I still think their quality/cost more than makes up for it
