I'm not as anxious now for the output of the Cera. When I ordered early December, we were persuaded to have it before Christmas, or at least the New Year ... a month has passed since then and is still at the same point. I canceled my order about two weeks ago (and still no refund ... in fact TET bank refused to pay the last moment, not a good sign ), and the more time passes the less I am excited .. .
It all started with a piece of roof falls (and I still don't understand how it could be compared with a delay of the Cera assembly, because at the time TET told us they had all the parts) .... then the creator of the Cera (it was him the brain of TET, right ?) leaves TET (and I'd like to know why, because it is very problable information that might interest all customers !). It is quite rare that a father abandons his baby ! Folks can says that it's not our business, but I think it would be useful for us to know why ! )
So before ordering a Cera again (it is still likely to always please me), I'll wait until users have tested it well and do their reports..... and be refund before too !!!
Then I'll be a bit naughty and cynical, but instead of spending so much time to make videos to make us dream, they would have done better to go to build Ceras !
You don't think that promoting a prototype is misleading? Battery changes, safety switch change, on top of the delays is a good enough reason for someone to feel misled? Why were they doing beta tests a few days before the expected ship date in December? The product advertised in December isn't the same product advertised today. They are still a great company and I don't think they did this maliciously but the product shouldn't have been up for preorder if they haven't even tested the unit fully. The videos were also misleading because it made it seem like they had their shit together.. which they didn't. They should've been honest with themselves first and foremost. They weren't and that's why the original thread is closed and that's why we have this thread. Every day I've read users say, "I bet a week from now everyone will be singing a different tune." I'm not one for prophecies, I'm only disappointed that the product I originally purchased is no longer available.Stating the obvious here, but TET is making a serious investment here with new kit, new tooling, staff training.. not to mention all of their old kit has been effectively sold out for months now. i.e. TET are as eager as everyone else to get these units built and shipping ASAP, if not more eager. They've got serious money riding on this product launch, not to mention all of their ongoing operational costs with employees and wages in the meantime.
Would they do it differently next time? Yeah probably, given the reaction here. They did spell it out pretty clearly on the pre-launch page, that the dates were subject to change, which is exactly why I chose to wait. I guess they'll have to make it really, really clear with big red flashing letters or something next time
Ps This is not directed towards one person,LeTchen, it is directed towards everyone who complains about absolutely nothing.
You were never told you would have anything before Christmas, you were told that was the projected date for the first round of shipments. You agreed to the terms that dates could change without notice when you placed your order. Remember the asterisk right next to the preorder button?
This is not a new thing to happen with preorders, it happens with almost every company, in every field, that does preorders.
There have been many setbacks other than the roof falling in, all of them have been out of TET's control. They have been very honest with every one of you.
They told you they had all the parts they needed to build the Cera's once the outsourced parts started coming in, such as the bodies and switches for instance.
The company that makes the ceramic bodies for the Cera had some issues with getting them correct on large scale so TET rejected them. TET wasn't willing to sacrifice quality for any one of them.
Then came the issue with the company that makes the bottom switch, and them not being able to get them done in time. TET then had to find a temporary replacement(the momentary switch) just so they could still get Cera's out to everyone as fast as possible without sacrifice again.
The whole Noah leaving TET issue is his business and only his business. Apparently Noah has a lot of family things going on and felt his time is better spent with family. He had already given TET everything they needed to finish without him.
He has given many years to all the projects they have had since the beginning of ThermoVape, and he did it all without a single dime of compensation! He and others there have said already that Noah was not a paid employee, he did it to try to better all of your lives not his own.
All of this was already explained in the Cera thread before it got shut down because of people whining, all because they can't handle the terms that they agreed to when the purchases were made. TET is non-stop busy building, they don't have time to worry about 1 or 2 people right now.
You guys all want to cancel just days before they actually start going out, that's just fine! It means the people that have been patient will get them all the sooner! Have a nice day!

Saying they've shipped on Saturday via Facebook is misleading when nobody has reported recieving any type of shipping notice.
Its misleading and not one of the TET supporters can explain why. Because there is no good explanation or excuse for a company saying one thing and doing something else,
One more edit: And what if they just don't know where to post BECAUSE THE CERA THREAD IS CLOSED!?
pakalolo that was about the people that may or may have not received their units by now, not TET.They do know where to post. They will open a new Cera thread, but only when they're ready.

I know that TET knows just to make a new thread.
For instance if I were one of the first 5 people, I wouldn't come into this thread to post my review on the Cera because this thread is a jibberish thread.
If they really want to then I am sure they will. I personally would wait until a new Cera thread was opened and then post in it.You bring up a pretty good point here. I hadn't considered that. Part of me still believes that they would find a way to brag here on FC.
Yes you would to brag you got it as most would IMO. You may not review but if it was sent out and it is in peoples hands it would be in TET's best interest to open the new thread to get there customer confidence back which might take a bit.
I didn't pre-order because I hate delays. I think in this case it wasn't the case. Pre-orders were done before they finished tweeking the product, before the beta testing was done and before they had the stock. They did state as many said that ALL the pieces were in except the skins. I don't recall them waiting on the batteries but I will except they said that as well. All the changes in the unit should have been done in beta before pre-order. If the changes are good fine if not fine but it should have never been up for sale before the tweeking.
We all know other vendors release and then fix with version 2 which we don't want either. Take your time make a great product then pre-order and release. I don't see this as being such a problem. It seems like companies want your money before you know what you are getting hence why I don't pre-order. It seems like this is the only industry that does this but I could very well be wrong.
I don't order a car, as used in some examples, before they decide what the car would look like, what size engine, battery size and other parts are going to be in it. I know what I order and yes sometimes it is delayed but I still get what I order.

No if you read I said most companies would release and then release version 2 which I hate. I just think that if in beta there should be no pre-sale yet by any company not just TET. Yes tweeking happens and delays happen. I said all that and said that that is why I would never pre-order anything. I do believe it happens more in this industry however but again maybe not. We do have a very unique view in to business here which I love. It isn't just TET it is the other companies as well. Ah vivape and mivape come to mind, a trillion revisions on the solo and others as well.
I think this wasn't a beta unit as some said it was a prototype which should not be pre-ordered cause it is just an idea at that point.
I respect your opinions KK and agree with a lot of them but just not all. I can see where you are coming from. I just feel bad for the people here that did pre-order and feel duped. I do believe unless you can prove otherwise with Noah's posts that the Cera was done and just being assembled. You can't have pics of a unit on the net and then change it and expect people to be happy. The original photos are still up last I checked, but that is not what you get if you order.
Hello all. I have been following the two CERA threads since the pre order began on Nov. 6th. I have not joined in the discussion because I was waiting for my unit so that that I could add meaningful comments. After being the proud owner of the T1, Revolution and AVA models of TET devices I could not wait to place my CERA order. On Nov. 19th I placed my order. Like most people on this board I am frustrated with the way TET has handled themselves over the last 6 weeks but understand that sometimes life happens and decided to stick it out. That being said, I have been making contact with TET over the phone and through email on a weekly basis for the last month. Everytime I call I get the same story, "we are waiting on this part or that part, switches" etc...well finally last week I called and pretty much demanded a clear answer on my order status even if it was plainly that they did not know and had no answer (which in my opinion is better then something that is completely false). I was told that my shipping address had been confirmed and that no changes were being made to my order and that I could expect tracking information in the next week or so (January 15th). As of today(January 23rd) I had still not received any tracking info so I decided to give another call. I was told once again that they are waiting for epoxy to dry etc. and that the best guess for my order to arrive would be sometime before presidents week (february 18th). I was also told that If i wanted a more updated delivery date to try back again next week! (which is exactly what I have been told every week for 5 weeks now). The purpose of my joining the FC combustion community today was to hopefully give people a better idea of what is going on with the firt batch of orders but frankly I feel like I am back at square one again.
