CCA710 LIGER - AIR

Time has come to start this thread and move on to greener pastures. Hopefully...

Just got my Air today and it was a nice surprise. Ended up at #11 so this bitch is getting hot.

I ended up with a Rainbow Air with matching Tsunami cap and dabber. Got all the joints and some other nice goodies that made me smile.

Just looking at it, this looks well machined and extremely light without the coil. I also like the look of it a lot better too. Feels much nicer .

I took some pics but need to get on a computer to post it on here. I'll do that late tonight or tomorrow.

Hey @Shooby, maybe a video clip of your Air in action? There's not a lot of eye candy on the Air yet.

I'll get you some porn in a few... Lol

Edit

I'm using the air with a sapphire Insert and kubeone with CCA coil.

I just took my first dab and it was way too hot on the kubeone. I didn't mess with the temp. I just went straight to CCA liger profile which set it to 529F.

So what I'll do is drop the temp to 500f and do a video of that second hit. Gotta switch sapphires since the first one chazzed.

So here are some thoughts about this new lil guy.

This things hot. I figured you already guess that from what I said above. I'll pull out the ktype soon and test the temp.

It's definitely an improvement.. no questions about that. It's much lighter in a good way. Will it tip over my rig. Probably not but at the same time. It's not gonna go into my rigs witgiuw a drop down. The joints are hot. So with that said, it's still front heavy on my leisure Incycler due to the drop down .but is lighter than before. The drop down extends the Liger to far forward making it unbalanced.

If you don't care for the joints being hot, than yea. It's better.

Speaking of joints. I do like the new joints but some may end up hating it too. Once you understand it, you just gotta know to pull up and not twist. You will get what I'm saying when you have it in your hands. But I do like that I can quickly remove the Liger and leave the joint on my rig.

I guess you can buy these joints separately later but you can leave the joint adapter in like 5 rigs and not remove the said joint adapter but remove the Liger and put it in another rig. Why would you do this. I have no clue cuz you can just remove the joint adapter with the Liger if you don't twist it and pull up.

My one and only rip in it felt more airy and again, in a good way. But will need more practice to get a better understanding.

My cooking caps works fine on it. The air is shorter i height but the coojo tip won't touch the insert. Nor will the gordo riptide of cap if you have one wide enough to cover. They both can be used without any issues. I haven't tried using the gordo as I've only taken one rip in the air.

But I dont see any reason why you would need a new cap or new style cap if you already have a coojo or weirdeer cap.

Let's see what else. I can barely read the etching of the serial number. Needed to shine my cell light on it. No logo on the I side so A won for font and B won for no logo.

Both augAugusth shroud's lil top ring is loose. The air rattles when I shake it. I have two shrouds and one was brand new still wrapped but now unwrapped and it rattles if shaked. I also got pliers trying to tighten this lil ass nut but I feel like it won't go any more. I think I may be able to fix this later on by bending my coil. Kinda hard to explain but I'll try to do some pics for ya before the night is over .

Those who ordered one will be happy with it. For those thinking about it, I would recommend it over a 3.0 Liger. I don't think it would beat out a 20mm Liger with sapphire in taste.

These are my opinions and I've only used this air once. Obviously I'll go at this again a bunch. Just grabbed 12 grams of sauce and live resin last night to last me until Thursday.

If we're going to start a new thread could you maybe do a more informative first post with a product overview of the Liger Air and some photos? If I was someone who knew nothing about Ligers beyond Napoleon Dynamite and clicked on the thread to learn about them, the first post doesn't tell me much about what it is, why it's awesome and why I should buy one.

If your looking for a reason to buy one, you may wanna find a company representative for that. I personally do not care if you buy one or not. I just wanted to post my findings after a quick use.

Feel free to create a Liger air review thread if you like and have this one deleted. Until then, I'll post my opinions in the correct thread for the correct product.

I'm mostly using the hurricane 3.1 cap, the 50mm also works well.

I have 2 50 mm bubbleI caps... The older 2017 quartz has a longer tip and will touch the insert. The 2018 glass version with a roughly 1 cm tip works fine.

Thx, so your opinion is the Hurricane 3.1, 50mm bubble, and then Tsunami carb capping that order from favorite to least favored?

The Liger air top OD is 35mm which is much less that the 38.5mm of the 3.0. this means more flat caps will fit and possibly the gordo riptide og at 36mm but that's really tight.

It is much shorter so if you're using a bubble cap with a tip, chances are that tip will touch. it looks about 3mm shorter. But I'm not too sure as I don't have an accurate way of measuring.

After using it a bunch last night, it is much nicer. I like the shorter airpath as well.

This morning or afternoon actually, I decided to clean it and noticed the 14mm joint adapter does get reclaim over it and makes it hard to get off. You may be better off twisting the Liger off the rig and leave the adapter in and the take that out if it's not stuck to the rig joint.

I do wish those joint adapters held tighter. I'm is now much harder to twist your Liger when on your rig from left to right or vice versa cuz of this joint system.

Those joints are still very hot.

Not a fan of this lil nut to hold the shroud on you need a plier to get it on and off now. So keep pliers nearby. And it seems to only get so tight. And with this nut being so small, hard to get much torque when tightening.

The temps are much lower with the air which is a big plus for taste. I can see folks at 500f ish.

I can't get pics and vids up. Left my surface at work yesterday to get my packages. And this site isn't mobile friendly for uploads.

What were the free goodies CCA included with your liger air?

I was just owed a silver vapor bucket from buying a 3.0 in January. They tried replacing that one twice but all were messed up and the 3.0 was all gone and I was forced to wait.

So for a silver vapor bucket, they were generous enough to send me a rainbow Liger air with all joints, matching cap and dabber and obsidian insert. I am very please with the Liger air and the additional goodies.

If I got this, i hope y'all get something similar or more.

How to delete this post?

You cant. The mods will when they see it.

Those who got theirs now, what do you think?

The 50mm seems like it picks up more condensation which is then transfered to the top edge of the Liger air. This causes there to be more residual vapor when you lift the cap.

I got a tracking number for my 3/16 order last week. It at least let me know it was getting closer to shipping. The Post Office received it near the end of the day today and it's now moving.

I got my tracking number over two weeks ago and it's just started moving. 8/2 is the day.

The 2nd should be the day for me too. I got myself well stocked up on supplies last night. :)

I'm really glad I didn't get my pre-pre-tracking a week earlier.

Got my tracking info July 20, but I believe mine may have been pushed back since they are throwing in an insert. Still hasn't been received by USPS. I'll update here when it does
