I hope you mean you will buy a few replacement heating elements vs full atomizers! I purchased some from someone promoting them on the FC peak thread. They work great. That said, a well working Carta is more to my like vs the peak.

I'm going to buy a few whole atomizers vs the rebuild kit, so I can just have them ready to go In a travel kit, I JUST broke my first atomizer than came with my peak purchased on release date, that i preordered it, and I broke it due to user error lol.

You do you, but I thought I was golden after my first peak atty lasted 6+ months. The next three only lasted weeks.

Impressive. I honestly wouldn't have thought that was even possible. Maybe I'm just too aggressive with mine, I went through 5-6. One of the things I like most about the Carta is you don't have to handle the atties with a gentle touch, at least when it comes to cleaning them.
I will be posting a full teardown in the next few days as soon as I get the video edited together, but the actual atomizer disc in the Carta is much thinner and smaller than the ones in the Peak.
With SZCrossing moving to make their disc heaters larger and more robust in their future Top Airflow Sai due to cracked discs from the titanium bucket on top I cant help but wonder if FocusV will make similar moves.
I tried rebuilding a Carta atomizer with a Peak disc, but all I got was flashing lights.

This was my v1 experience. None of that for me so far with 2 atty on the v2

Yes, and I think it was the result of a bad connection between the atomizer and base. Adjusting the atomizer would usually fix it - unless the overheating had already burnt it out (which it did for a few of us). No overheating on my retail Carta yet though. If you've readjusted the atomizer and tried different ones, you might have a problem with your base.
I try not to say v1/v2 anymore since Randall mentioned the problems it has caused him with customers getting confused about what they were buying. That was some unofficial lingo that started here (by me I think

I've had no luck with my early production atomizer nor with the atomizer that was included with the retail Carta. I've tried both quartz buckets as well.
Today I started a warranty claim with Focus V, hopefully a new atomizer solves my issues.

Got a replacement atty and still was giving me a burnt taste. Tried the atty I bought from vapeactive and am met with flashing green lights when I try a heat cycle. This has been a mess for the $ I’ve paid.
Also just went to vapeactive and their website now says carta v2 rig....when I bought it It was just carta vape rig.

Unfortunately you wont have luck with that becaus the v1 base does not work with v2 atomizers

It does seem like there's 2 types of retail atomizers. This is the one FocusV sent me before the retail base shipped:
The 2 atomizers that came later with the base didn't have that ridged ring at the bottom. Those are the 2 I used first and burnt out by overclicking. The one pictured above is my final one and it's been going strong through multiple battery recharges now.

My carta got here today so that was a awesome surprise got it charging now. This may be a stupid question but is the titanium bucket already installed because i noticed 2 quartz buckets but only 1 titanium in the package, And if so when its done charging i suppose its ready for use and i can just put my concentrate on the bottom and fire it up thanks in advance for the help guys
Neither the atomizer included with my production base, nor the replacement atomizer I received today from VapeActive have the ridges / knurls as pictured.
Interesting - My dead atomizer also does not have said knurling.

My v2 atomizer that came in before the production Carta has the knurls at the bottom, the atomizer that came with my production Carta does not.

Try pulling the center, gold colored pin on the bottom of the atty out just a little bit
Hey Guys! Quick updates we are loving all the support so far! and we will of course be here for anyone who is experiencing any kind of issues! just reach out to us via the website / phone / email / or DM on IG for a quick response!
Things are getting Knurly in here.. The attys without came previously about 300 made but structurally inside they are the same.
We are going to be working on different versions of the attys to constantly improve on them. I think I will probably make 50 to 80 of each style that i will be working on and see if i can get one of each out to you beta guys and get some real testing going here. The quicker we test the faster we are all dabbing slabs in the carta haha (although i dont do slabs lol)
We are also going to be implementing a rewards program into the site. Beta Customers will be getting a hefty point bonus!
Attys:
1. We will be coming out with the Repair kits very soon. I have photos but i dont have time to upload them on here (site admins what can we do to get a plugin for easier uploads?)
2. We will be starting the subscription program sometime at the beginning of March or end of April.
