07 silverado built 5.3L 340 rwhp daily driver. Gonna drop in a Ls7 TT when the 5.3 dies along with 4 x 300 pound thrust AMT jets(yup gonna do it just for shits and giggles)

91 z28 fully built. In pieces but on paper it is around 900hp 9 second 1/4 times and able to pass smog. Once done we shall see.

Past cars worth mentioning min of 400 hp or more.

71 Challenger (318 bored out to 340)
69 GTX (440ci 550 hp NA, 250 shot when needed)
83 Thunderbird (89 Blown 5.0 swap )
03 Silverado (4.8L STS turbo)
07 Cobalt supercharged (150 shot fully forged 2.0L)
87 Rx7 (don't know what this car had but it hit 201mph I ain't saying where or how stupid I was when I was 18 years old)
96 Impala blown Ls1
06 Gto blown.

Out of all these cars the funnest car I have owned was a Plymouth Horizon. Simply put you would tear your self apart trying to get it two reach 65mph with a strong headwind. It simply took forever to reach 60 and 65 was out of the question if you had lunch.

Only Japanese care I would drive is a Nissan built. ToyotAs suck

Only European car I would be caught dead in is a Austin Martin. Anything else out of Europe is trash.
Aaaaaaannnddd...you lost me as a customer ;)
just joking, I never argue about taste for colors, women or cars
Altough I must say the 71 challenger hits the spot for me.

This is my last year with my challenger, going to get it supercharged first to have some fun, then I'm going for a nissan gtr, if you want fast, I'll give you fast !

2006 Ford Focus, Silver/Blk, 5-Spd, limo tint in back, rims off a '96 Mercury Mystique. (salvage title, paid 3,500 back in '10)

The Stang has been good to me, though my gripe is that it's heavy. I now know what I want in a car. A small rally car is definitely my calling. Outright speed is stupid in the city. If anything you want something that's not too fast but lightweight. I can row through the gears and race up and down the streets and not be breaking any speed limits in the Focus, whereas the Mustang is breaking the law almost immediately. Heavy everything in that car - steering, clutch, brakes, shifter, etc.. etc...

I am really in love with the little Focus. I guess my dream car right now would be a late model Focus SVT w/ aftermarket intake & exhaust.

2007 Mazda Mazdaspeed6. No one knows what this car is about, which is exactly why I like it. They only made a handful of them over 1.5 years of production. Turbocharged 2.3l inline 4, 6spd manual and All Wheel Drive from the factory.

Video is a little old. We ran out of fueling headroom due to the use of E85 (Ethanol) which requires ~30% additional fueling volume, and sadly no one makes aftermarket Direct Inject injectors for this engine.

Ran a best of 12.5@110mph in full street trim.

I've since solved my fuel issues with a methanol kit. The vehicle is currently @ ~415AWHP/390lb-ft of torque (actually needed to detune the tq a bit since Im running a stock engine). And keep in mind thats after the 25-30% drivetrain loss via the AWD system. That means the engine itself is around the 500+BHP (the rating car companies use to market vehicles) mark. Still 2.3l. Still completely stock internals. Haven't brought it back to the track yet though.

Daily driven grocery getter/V8 slayer of course. Oh yea, and the exhaust shoots flames on high RPM shifts. I don't need to tell you how awesome that is in and of itself. ;) Edit: You can kind of see it in the video. Too bad it wasn't darker.

Then why are the big three coping everything from 3-5 yr old euro tech? Suspension, drivetrain, electronics etc

Reason why I said Austin Martin. Only European car I will drive.

As for the big three's new cars I wouldn't drive anything other then a Truck Platform.

The 06 gto was ok great drifter but ill stick to truck platforms.

My daily is a 2012 mini van.
My fun ride is a 2000 SS Camaro, borla cat back, 373 gears, 70 shot dry :D Along with the throttle body coolent bypass I insulated all of the air box and intake and only see at most 10 degrees above outside ambient temp on the intake air, I was using autotap at the time. If I ever start driving it again I think I would like a STS kit for it.

Oh ya, its pull me over red too:nope::doh:

While its still running. Not cool ford

Ooh a car thread, i love these things. I drive a 05 2.5RS impreza, awesome car, totally stock and has been nothing but faithful in the 4 years i have had it. I would post a picture but its just a stock white impreza rs. Its whats on the inside that counts.

My dream car is a Lincoln continental mark v from the late 70s, nothing but total and absolute driving comfort, you cant do better than that. Rare in australia but not very expensive, the only problem is i just moved and i dont think ill be able to fit it around the carparks turns.

My real passion is bikes, i ride a 1988 VFR400R NC24, its a rare japanese import bike, with a V4 engine, its a small bike, but built like a big expensive one. It looks like a total heap of junk, but its solid as a rock behind the 25 year old crashed up plastic, but its never spat me off, thats all previous owner damage, im going to restore it soon, also it sounds like a 70s f1 car (i actually have some youtube videos if anyone wants a link) Its decently quick and hilarious fun to ride. I like to take it out in the country and fly around corners and go for long rides.

This is a photo of it up the top of some rainforest mountain on the queensland/nsw border, inside a cloud on a 1 car wide road with a 100ft drop on over the edge. FUN RIDE :)

Engine and transmission are bone stock, even the clutch. The motor in the Speed6 (and speed3) is a beautifully built piece, and is pretty bulletproof until you break the 400 tq mark. The trick is to make sure to keep timing in check so you dont put out too much twisting force below 3k RPM. If you fail to do that then people start venting large holes in their block from the inside out.

Of course if the engine ever shits its bed ill be throwing a built unit in there.

Heres a vew vids from my buddy's Speed6s. They are making about 50 (POV video) and 100whp more (other 2 videos) than I am right now.

Damn it... now I want a bigger turbo.

Friend had one of these for a few years. Excellent car when it worked and stupid fast after bolt-ons and a tune. I would walk away from him in my S2000 when he was stock and with bolt ons. The tune really unleashed the beast though and after that my N/A 2 liter had no chance. Unfortunately he got rid of that car because it ended up being plagued with problems. I actually strongly considered one before I picked up the S but soon realized I wanted a roadster.

My daily driver is a BMW. I've had it for 11 years. The AWD is great in the snow.

My summer fun car is an MR2 Turbo. Fast car with great handling because of the mid engine & rear wheel drive. I've had it for over 20 years, and it's all original. It only goes out on sunny days, so it still looks new.

Awesome, keep her clean mate they will be worth something one day because very few of them are unmolested and ruined from two decades of mistreatment. I saw a totally fresh first gen mr2 a few weeks ago and it looked amazing, like a timewarp.

I remember these things at race nights man hell of a car to beat when built, but the damn intakes would straighten your hair while driving or suck you in if window left open at high speeds.

Once again 18 and stupid so please save judgements I don't do that anymore and speak against it.

From what I remember he kept having fuel pump/injector issues and he blew the tranny twice at the track. I also think the tune he had was way too aggressive and he was running alot of boost. It was his first turbo'd car and I don't think he mad much if any experience with forced induction. He also bought it with 85K so who knows what kind of abuse the previous owner put the car through.

I NEED to own a mid-engined car. I had dreams of an NSX but it is too old and too expensive. I test drove a Cayman S last year for shits and giggles and the car was pretty damn awesome. Steering was telepathic, handling was very neutral, and the car was very refined. The only thing I didn't like was the shifter was extremely vague with long throws. I guess I have been spoiled by what I think is the best shifter/clutch combo in the business.

I have a couple of "summer only" vehicles. The primary one is my 2012 Corvette Grand Sport.

Sharp GS C6 ! Cyber Gray Metallic right? That car is track-ready monster.

I fell in love with Corvettes since the C5. I can guaran-damn-tee you I will own a C7 in a few years!

im trying to convince my wife of a Z28/R although the Z/28 is track car the R is just a tad bit faster if im not mistaken. I fell in love with the 91/92 Z28 and hated the 4th gens, but man GM hit a home run on the 5th.

I doubt i can afford it but hey thats why we have kids you know, soon as they are 8 years old off to work they go. haha j/k

First On Race Day though lol.

Actually that first and third ones are mach I fastbacks,
the second is a california special convertable.

The mach one my buddy had was a 390 fe big block,
he bored out to 13:1 and geared it for off the line with a police-issue automatic.

It wasn't much good for freeway driving,
but it ate small-block chevys for breakfast in the quarter mile

I didn't race but enjoyed the shit out of my '67 289 convertible pony.

Its the rivalry that made me mess with the ford guys. Hell man we use to go back and forth at the track like no other. The dodge guys would be sitting there because no one would play with them haha.

Ford did get one thing right and that is a 9 inch rear diff ts all ill admit.
