Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
maybe the extra airflow of the 4 vs 3 gives different results? I've got 3mm in my elev8r and when I rip it it produces!

edit I'm at something of a loss????

3mm. I fit them all into the hollow cavity, then placed the head on and dumped them down the chimney of the VROD, tapping to set them, until I couldn't fit anymore and I had 3 left of the 200.
Same with my 4mm! Put them all the way up the chimney and I only have 3 left in the pack.

I'm gonna turn it up to 600 from 575 and just go to town on it and report back shortly.

EDIT: That got it DARK and was very effective. I've lowered it to 590 and I'll try that next time I go to use it and see where that lands me. I see what you mean in start slow, then once I've seen it start up, to rip it. It instantly clouded up, and then I used a little more relaxed draw to finish it up, full lung.

That technique seemed to work for me, I just need to play with the temperature some maybe. I don't see how someone could just slam it at 700+, then I saw reports here of lower temps and I got lost in where to land. I guess just like the VROD it's all variable and preference, but I've got a good place to start now.

I just did a little experiment myself with my elev8r, steady slowish draw and ripping from start to finish and I got darker abv ripping, as I expected. took some pics but with or without the flash they look the same on my camera, however I also recorded the session and my bong milked up more dense ripping. I won't post it, its long and boring to watch. plus its not a flowerpot

Interesting. The opposite happens for me. The only way that I can hit the baller head at 710F is with a massively hard pull (more of a gasp). Anything slower and it's an instant fireball.

To me, that makes sense. With a fast draw, the air moves through the heat source more quickly, absorbing less heat. It also moves more quickly through the herb, giving it less time to shed that heat.

maybe it has to do with the elev8r having more restriction than I assume the baller head has? even when I'm really ripping its not that fast. I'll reshoot the video and post in the elev8r thread where it belongs for anyone that is interested in the results.

edit: video is uploading to the cloud...... if I interrupt to load to YouTube my tablet will get pissy with me the next time I want to upload to the cloud . all the avb shots are pretty much garbage on my camera, sorry you won't see much:cuss: but if you look at the hits its pretty obvious which one is bigger. was expecting the baller to be more similar than different, my apologies for some of the advice I've been giving lately, it was ill advised to make suggestions on a vape I don't own:disgust:

I bet that's it!

The baller heads are much more open than the elev8r. The B-1 head with 4mm balls has very little restriction, IMO. Even with 3mm balls, I can completely fill my lungs in 4 or 5 seconds.

ripping on the elev8r is basically the goldilocks for max/ fast extraction, I couldn't even finish the full rip hit, choked out lol. the vapes share some similarities, coils, 3mm balls??? but obviously there are differences.

but now I'm doubley confused as to why @stonedmallone was having so much trouble with combustion when he was ripping it????

Texus and the rest of you fuckers, I am going to buy the Baller Head,. I don't need it. I do have to see if it works any different.
There you go! Great pick ups. I have a screen baller on the way, since it apparently has better airflow, and I prefer a more effortless draw.

I've found that the 14mm Showerhead post doesn't always work great in all of my 14mm female joints since it doesn't have much taper to it. Tried it in my Sticky Brick too last night, and just barely too big. So will grab a file and some sandpaper eventually. But some of my 14mm female to 18mm male adapters work great with the 14mm Showerhead post.

18mm Showerhead post fits great on my Herborizer glass. Though personally, I'd probably go with a $20 passthrough glass piece (@VGOODIEZ , Sneaky Pete's are about $5 more) since it is less expensive to replace in case the heat or other factors cause a crack or breakage. Also love using the passthru's 10mm plug as a carb to really open things up and clear the chamber without needing to remove Showerhead or Herbo glass.

If you're riding the combustion line on a hard rip, all it takes is a little dip in the speed of your draw to make a cherry.

Honestly I think that was it. I'm back at 640 now, I'm doing the slow draw then rip method. Seems to be working juuuust fine lol

Are you using the “Shovel Head Bowl”? If you haven’t already try adjusting for each rig joint.

For anyone not aware, scroll to bottom of linked page for short video on ADJUSTING:

Yes, Shovelhead, not Showerhead. The issue isn't the adjustment, it is that the male part of the post doesn't sufficiently taper to be useable in my Sticky Brick. And it sounds like that is the issue for @David Root as well. Most glass male connections tend to be longer and taper to a smaller diameter. CH posts on the other hand have minimal taper. Since I recently got some calibers: 14mm CH post = 0.50 in at its narrowest, a randomly selected male 14 mm glass piece= 0.45 in at its narrowest. And that makes all the difference in my Sticky Brick Maxx.

And in general, I'd love for those posts to be a bit longer and have a bit more taper. My 18mm post goes too deep in a one of my 18mm glass pieces.

@Bad Dog there's a point, just a couple of seconds into a hard high-temp rip with the baller head, where the glass is completely milked and the draw restriction rapidly increases. All of the oil, previously distributed evenly throughout your load, is now a hot bubbly mass at the bottom of the load, restricting the airflow.

I learned from my first high-temp baller rip that I need to plow through that draw restriction or there will be fire! 🔥

Ah yes, still reading.

Just above page 500, there was mention of ripping .1 gram in one hit. 777 for temp with a weedeater.

Tried it @ 747, no water, Three times....... Then I smiled.

Some are claiming .15 or even .2g.
I saw this a few times.

Lots of reading about glass bowls. It seems stick with the TI one because I can't find glass.
I cannot grind the rim off an 18 to 14 adapter.

I DID use the 18.5 base to the shovelhead. I put an adapter in the piece and it was much better.

The B1 should be a little different. With the screen on the bottom.

Ordered and received a Grav 14.5 mm octobowl and ad 18.5 Octobowl.

I bought an 18 to 14 adapter. Screen fit inside perfect. Rim was too big to fit in side the WeedEater head. I tried removing the rim on a belt sander, but no joy.

The 18.5 top rim of the Grav 18.5 octobowl is over .9 inches. Max is .880 for the WeedEater. No Go.

Next I took the 14 mm bowl and put it in my WeedEater, It fit inside, but the glass handle kept the head from sitting on top of the glass bowl level.

SO I dumped .1 load in it, Flipped the WeedEater head over and put it on the bowl upside down.
Wiped it out in one hit. Did it a few more times. Turned it down from 700 to 650 it was getting a little black on top.
The glass screen caused some restriction, but it worked perfect.
This bowl is small and could handle probably from .05 to .2

I have yet to fill the Shovelhed bowl and empty it. The first day, I weighed .5 g and packed it in. I had no idea how to use it, so in the end, I dumped it out and used a small load to figure the thing out.

I had tried a carb cap. It seems not needed, just temp and draw speed.

Next try the glass 18 to 14 adapter with the WeedEater head upside down.

Screened Baller arrived tonight. Holy shit. This really opens up the experience, and shows a whole 'nother side of the Baller Rod. Much more effortless pull. But hits like a monster. These were "Hot Damn." hits for both flower and a double decker. I liked the other baller bottom, but this is revelatory. Very impressed. Don't think they hit any heavier than this.

Thanks Texux..... I am watching for black Friday sale.

The small bowl I used had plugged the glass screen. I tried to clean it and the holes in the glass are too small on one side. Bowl is junk.

Last night I tried some microdosing. I have read quite a few times in this thread questions about how small you can go.

In the Shovelhead Bowl, I put .07 g fine ground. One hit with the WeedEater @ 710.
Then I tried .08g, .1g, .07g. All worked the same. Screen was completely covered.
Past .1g it was worth it to stir and get a part of another.

One .07 load, I dropped a carb cap on the WeedEater head. The herb was black on top, so I turned it down to 650.
Next was a load of .15g, stirred for the second hit I put the cap on. Tons of vapor......

So does it Micro Dose with the Shovel head bowl? YES!

Do you NEED a carb cap? NO.

That just happened...
I received my B1 head yesterday and decided I would try the 3mm beads first. I don't gush over a product often but this thing is outstanding. It's the first vape I've used where I can't overwhelm the heater by hitting to hard. Just like others have stated the hit actually gets bigger and denser by hitting harder. I'm smitten. :D

Very cool. I wanted more airflow before screen came in and had moved to 4mm rubies. Time to give 3mm a try again too.

I'm debating what to do with my stimulus checks.. I'm conflicted between a Volcano Hybrid and I think the B2 head. From what I read It seems as if the B2 has more restriction while the B1 is far more airy. For those of you that upgraded.. which do you prefer? Is it really worth it? Is it finally possible to hit it as hard as we want without the slow draw? Also what about the balls? Sapphire, Quartz, Sic, and 3mm or 4mm? Or both?

I always wanted a volcano and can now afford it but I am willing to put that off until next black friday if anyone can convince me here just how much better our Vrod performs with Balls.. lol

Also a little confused about the new carb caps.. there are two now and one hangs over the head because of that new nut? Wow! Sorry I've been out of the loop with my move! Thanks fellas.
