Hmm, I had learned that acrylamides are generated from starch though, potatoes in particular, via exposure to high heat (chips, French fries). The Maillard reaction when cooking a piece of protein like steak doesn't involve any sugar, as far as I know...and for what it's worth, if the FDA is even worth the two shits it used to be there's this table here https://www.fda.gov/Food/FoodborneIllnessContaminants/ChemicalContaminants/ucm053566.htm

Anyway, major digression from this thread, Flowerpot rules acrylamides drools

Cooked starches are the most common but they found acrylamides in tobacco smoke, so I had made the connection to the sugars in the plant material. But upon further research cannabis does not contain the amino acid aspargine (Cannabis and Cannabinoids: Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Therapeutic Potential - Russo) to react and create those byproducts, so we can rest easy!

The Maillard reaction does not occur when cooking meat, those are hetereocylic amines, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, etc.

But you are so right my friend in that this digression must revert back to shower power, 777F today, been away from casino royale for a bit but hot damn, this extraction is crazy quick. I feel the hot air inhaled is minimal since it extracts in seconds!

not sure if it's suicide to try this with that 7in SOLperc piece I have (I think it's the same one you have, just fucking TINY lol) but might have a try tonight.

I've been getting destroyed even at 700 with this piece... it's my only spare piece atm though, since I am still trying to find "the one" for my showerhead sadly. GAS has me smitten lads...

Other high rollerz can chime in, but I feel you can get pretty much the same performance of 700 at 777 just with quicker extraction, load size permitted* the only trade off is you have to be a bit quicker to pull the head or start ramping up the draw so you don't over roast it. It's awesome to milk up big tokes for the old schoolers that have been smoking joints for 40 years and have no lung capacity :D

It's crazy to think of how many people are roasting their throats sucking on an Arizer Air for 10 minutes when you can vape the whole load in 4 seconds. I have the 9 inch SOL, lol the SH will blow your head off like a double barrel shotgun with that thing and the right strain :rip:

I feel neither of my pieces are truly ideal for the SH either.

I am not sure what load size you guys do for your high roller temps, I usually try to keep under 0.1gr, 0.05-0.07 seems to be my single hitter load, but I rarely ever need to worry about over roasting on the SH at even 780F, so long as I keep the same draw speed once the vapor thins out that's a wrap folks.

I've gotten ear ringers from this little tube at 680~710 :science:

it's just too much of a sipper for my preferences. No satisfying chug! Regardless the vapor from the FP has been putting me on my ass lately when I'm needing to go to sleep. I do love the ability to crush through large amounts in one hit when needed.

I do generally try and keep my FP bowls small (.15 or so tops) but I'm sure sometimes I get overexcited and add a bit too much. I should check one of these days. I really am such a lazy bastard. I have the means... but I just don't... not sure why...

Tonight - this changes!

maybe :spliff:

edit1: 0.06g at 777 - this is promising. why was i scared to rip this tiny tube that high. i def think it's the lack of time needed to pull. can roast this in like 5seconds flat lol

edit1.5: 0.08g at 777 - probably getting towards high end of what can be used comfortably taste/heat wise

edit 2: do the people who use the mug rest the showerhead like hanging INSIDE the mug, or off the side? lmao i cant believe im actually using a fkng mug but I'm not using something made out of wood at 777

I get it sometimes when I run out of breath towards the end of a hit from a larger tube. The smaller tube seems easier to keep chirping.

That's cause you need a propeller dude

Do you preheat the carb cap?
Not always but usually do double deckers if using concentrates and would usually take a draw from the flower first and cap it because my dab always gets used up quicker so i do it that way.thats when it happens most.i am using crumble at the minute though and its not easy to spread the load out in the dish so i know that wont help.

I like the forced restriction from 14mm (of course adapters exist so yay) but still looks nice! the screen on that one seems great with not a ton of room for stuff to fall through

If you are looking for a daily driver I would say you selected a very nice piece. This glass will hit all your buttons imo. I have several in this form factor and find them all very enjoyable too.

A daily driver flower piece, yes!

The CCG recycler is my DD oil piece paired with my HN coil+banger and I've been using that 7in SOL-perc CCG bubbler with my FP on and off for a few months now, but I think it will be relegated to vapcap use only now :D

My friends. I am so weak.

https://www.dhgate.com/store/product/ccg-new-2017-glass-water-pipes-glass-bongs/407153389.html

Will this be the one? I'm not sure anyone else has posted about this one but I really like the form factor. This could finally be the piece that causes me to stop impulse buying glass? (probably not)

Nah that's lame, it doesn't even have a propeller :D just kidding! That ones pretty cool, only thing is the perc holes on that design seem a little janky. I was digging this one https://www.dhgate.com/store/product/ccg-2017-new-arrival-glass-bongs-glass-oil/407151574.html but I think I'd rather have that can with the same seed of life perc in my 9" rig. The function actually seems fine but I might get all OCD on the imperfect placement.

We'll see. I'm not sure how great the perc is on this tiny SOL perc bubbler either, cos I don't fill it too high as to not drink from it when I use it, but worst case I'll sell it at like a $10 loss, and someone gets a cheap, nice bubbler without having to wait for china shipping, so I'm glad to do the testing :D

I considered the one you linked, but after trying the FC-186 (once last year, pre FP, and again this year post-FP) and that big TAG pipe, I think I would struggle to clear that all in one pull, after filling it.

Who knows though. I definitely like the perc on that one compared to the FC-186

I am using a similar piece from Ehle with a Showerhead perc as daily driver (same company that made my Slide)
with a DHGate Ashcatsher from Stevenlmz79...both with very little water...tried all kinds of other configs but this is MY fav :)
