Just did a twax. So much better hits with the vrod AND the carb cap ON!. I couldn't even finish the bowl this way!. Still light brown AVB too."Elixer mix" live resin for the top. On the bottom something called "Alaskan Purple". Elixer mix is mix of that dispensaries strongest strains. It's a mix of 5 different ones.
We have come to the point where cannabis has less of an image problem than does vaporizers, due to the perception that young people are getting hooked on nicotine through nicotine vaporizer use. And these underage people are getting their vaporizers through the mail. Therefore, we will ban vaporizers from the mail. Problem solved. (Is a sarcasm tag really needed here... nah.)Actually came back here just to express coming from the U.K. how mindblowing it is that “Cannabis Hardware” is a more acceptable name than Newvape. Would have thought the opposite would have been the case here

That is true. But laws aren't passed to protect stoners. Laws are passed to protect our young, impressionable, snowflake children.

The tldr is vaporizers will be banned from US mail. FedEx and UPS seem to be going along with it even though they are not legally required to. The whole thing sprang mosty from young people using nicotine vapes and black market vape pens that were huring people. Dry herb vapes just got caught in the cross fire.

I am sorry for bombing this thread with my questions. I tried reading through the thread but it is LONG. Just wondering, are there any good mods for the OG showerhead? I was able to pick one up used and I am enjoying it a lot. I would like to figure out the airflow a bit and lower it down. I have a carb cap but it does not fit well. The one on the website is like what I am looking for, just hoping to not spend $60 after I spent as much as I have. Any good recommendations for carb caps that fit the OG showerhead well? Also looking for new bowls to use. Any good bowls that can act as a replacement if I break my glass one?

Hey guys any word on those 14mm glass bowls, Vrod Sic dishes and Quartz Vrod dishes ever coming back into stock? I just lost mine and while I know I can still use flower without the dish but I'm currently soaking everything in ISO and giving my Evo some long lost love! For both flower and concentrate.. And dare I say it, I kinda prefer the flavor of concentrates out of here as opposed to the sic dish. What ever happened to the Quartz and I think Sapphire dishes? Any plans of them coming back into stock?
I still have that burnt up sic dish I showed everyone a few months back (and the head that I still haven't sold) but I don't trust it.

From what I have seen and read here you are kind of on your own in terms of glass bowls and carb caps, New Vape is a metal shop, they used to, but stopped selling Chinese glass bowls and have been unable to find a domestic supplier. The $60 carb cap with 1 hole is an overpriced POS, they just don't believe you need one for some reason. After years of searching, I finally found an alternative carb cap on DH Gate that is big enough to cover the head and is flat on the bottom, it is a glass disc with grooves and a glass handle that lets through the perfect amount of air. You will also find glass bowls there that fit perfectly, they now cost $17 each and there are links a few pages back n this thread. If the vape shipping ban puts an end to shipments from China, we are really screwed!

Thought I'd share my favorite glass setup. I'm not sure if it's my endgame choice but I do like it, and it uses as little water as I'm comfortable with. I'm considering whether the Infinity piece from MJarsenal will be enough on its own, that'll be my next trial/error purchase sometime this summer. Using the weedeater head, have boost mode set to 621 and 666. It's tough to see in the last pic but the lower piece is a showerhead perc.

I recently got a tall 14mm from plusplus, which are now sold out, but the quality is good and it only took about a month to get. I also recently placed an order from popularglass, which are cheaper at ~$25 for 2. They don't offer a mixed 14/18 set, but I wonder if you could message and request that?
edit: here's the tall bowl from plusplus. Depth is about .7" versus .5" on the shovelhead

I recommend you leave that “burnt up” sic dish on high heat for a couple days. I'd rather have USA glass. China glass is super cheap and breaks often. Plus I'd rather support the US. I'm sure they could find a USA supplier if they looked harder. There are a ton of them.

Between 650-700 worked fine. But if you can manage to do higher temps for a while I’m sure it would only help to expedite the process. Essentially all the crust is a build up of waxy material - The only way to get it off completely is to allow for it to roast away.

Can anyone with a vrod and showerhead compare the dry herb performance? I'm looking into getting the FC enail made so a flowerpot seems like a no brainer. I plan on having an enail setup but if the vrod has the same 18 hole diffuser as the shower head and works the same for dry herb is spend the extra money to try twaxing.
Also, how hard are carb caps and other miscellaneous parts right now? My whole medicating situation got nuked by the vape ban so I'm having to start from scratch and can't afford to keep medicating inefficiently and wasting product waiting on things to come back in stock or spend monthes in the mail.

The Showerhead was discontinued ages ago. I have the Showerhead and the Weedeater, wouldn't be able to tell the difference with dry herb in a blind test. The only reason I use the Weedeater over the other is that it fits better in my stand. I would grab whatever I can get at this point before the whole industry grinds to a halt in April.
