You may have heard this before...but tried something new to me with the V-Rod.
Glass 18mm bowl, 692 on the dial (yes, I’ve stepped it up lol), 1/2 scoop, no carb cap. Hang the V-Rod and watch the temp. It drops to 688ish without pulling. I wait...till I see it level off and start climbing. Maybe 10 seconds max from the time I put the V-Rod on the glass. Then start my normal routine. Every bowl has been a perfectly cooked load. Best results with flower yet.

Don't get me wrong. My portables get used, but usually just when I'm out and about during the day. When I'm home it's almost always my Flowerpot these days. Though, I like to often use my woodscents log when I'm laying on the couch playing video games. And, I like to keep one of my Woodscents logs on my nightstand. It's great for a couple hits before going to sleep or before getting up in the morning.
But overall, I'm using my Flowerpot 90% of the time when at home these days.
The honeymoon phase sure is long with this one

where exactly is everyone getting that little scoop, i saw one for the pax and had one but it was definitely smaller and useless. That one looks usefulStill in the honeymoon phase at about two weeks, but the vrod has taken over this household.
Wet, dry. Half scoop or full. 595 up to 656. Water piece or j-hook. Flower or concentrates. Master of all!
Ive settled at 656 as my flower (535 concentrates)....with NO CARB CAP (flower). First week was all about capping and turning the Abv dark. All good but second week was the turning point. Started leaving the carb cap off and mastered my inhale speed. I am now getting denser more flavorful tokes. And more times too! Of course, a full scoop will bring even bigger clouds but I get stingy and try to cash it all in one pull so I try to stick to 1/2 scoops.

I’ve only dabbed twice now. Both were prob way too big, felt like I filled the rig 15 times haha. Anyways, I’m a newb at this dab thing but come to find out, I freakin LOOOVE dabbing in the evening. Perfect wind down and super euphoric. Definitely an indica guy. Been dabbing some cherry pie live sauce and unicorn poop live budder. I never knew cannabis could be this fucking enjoyable.

As far as glass upgrades go, it looks like mini mobius, while pretty much perfect, is a no-go for now. Everyone’s sheltering in CA since it’s non essential it’s one guy in the shop, the owner I guess, doing random stuff. Only thing available right now are slides and carb caps, not one single water piece. I’ll just have to be patient .... so I ordered a piece of china glass to hold me over until 2021.
possibly off topic, but maybe someone can chime in: has anyone had an issue with the AUBER unit not fully going into standby?
I did some vrod action this morning, turned the unit off, and went cycling for about an hour. When I came back I was pretty shocked to see it not in standby (red light, screen off) but Instead still on and reading “hot, 103” over and over again. Basically it shut down 99.9% of the way, most likely was totally off, but still appeared to be on and drawing power.
I’m guessing it’s just a fluke?

Hey @newvape918 thanks, but definitely not, the pid has seen zero direct sunlight. Stays tucked under my desk in the dark actually 
I’ll be turning it off after each session for the next few days to sneak a few extra “power downs” to see if it happens again but not terribly worried, although it was quite surprising to discover.
But so far I’ve run it twice and it seems to be powering down into standby as normal. Weird.

If the controller was alternating between 'Hot' and a temp, then that is standby mode (red power button color). The 300-B version defaults to waiting until under 100 to go completely dark (red power button color and blank screen). If the power button is white in color - then it's on and maintaining heat.

The heat warning on my Auber was set to 34f when I bought it. You can change it in the settings tho.

Yeah the screen stays on until it goes below the programmed warning threshold. Mine was still flashing the next morning because it thought anything above 34f was hot

Right. Its a new device and I’m far from an expert but I understand that when the coil is 700 degrees as it powers down the screen is on and blinks HOT, temp, HOT temp. When it drops below 100, it clicks into standby, screen off, red light.
what I was saying was, 80 minutes and 21 miles later, the Auber screen should be OFF, standby red light, and coil should be cool.
That was not how the controller was behaving.. It had been blinking 103, HOT, 103 for well over an hour.
I’ve powered it down twice since then, haven’t been able to repeat the issue so far. I think we’ve all had electronics freeze on us before, but this one just caught me off guard. Not terribly worried, but certainly keeping an eye on it for the week.

I’m not a regular smoker, but for a meeting, or with friends, it’s unbeatable.
It packs tight, it’s the circumference and length of a cigarette, if you roll it in a King Size with a filter.
With that center airpath all the way from the top to the bottom, is unbeatable, from when you turn it on till the end.

How many of you guys enjoy high and low temp dabs? Been experimenting just under 600 and really enjoy the flavor profile of all the terps as well as a nice slow come up. However the 675 temp dabs are hugely beneficial in terms of pain management and sedation. Both have there place, was just curious if you guys mess around with temps like this?
