I notice a huge difference between 4,5,6 as the final temperature digit. I believe the temperature ramp up (to counteract your draw) is more noticeable as it there is a "rounding up" rather than "rounding down" pattern if the temperature is nearest to the closest 10, especially with the Auber.

Maybe im high but I find the temp falls way less when set at 656 or 666 as opposed to 655 or 665.

The Herborizer DigiTi controller, I don't believe sports this behaviour and rrsponse, the whole rounding up or down thing.

Any single set temp will work equally accurately, precisely and uniformly. I had a lot more experience using that model myself.

yeah so...I’ve been using cannabis forever. I’ve got quite the tolerance. Well, I thought I did. Just got this thing, cashed a small load in 2 hits and I’m fully laid out. How did this never happen with my other vapes???

Still in the honeymoon phase at about two weeks, but the vrod has taken over this household.

Wet, dry. Half scoop or full. 595 up to 656. Water piece or j-hook. Flower or concentrates. Master of all!

Ive settled at 656 as my flower (535 concentrates)....with NO CARB CAP (flower). First week was all about capping and turning the Abv dark. All good but second week was the turning point. Started leaving the carb cap off and mastered my inhale speed. I am now getting denser more flavorful tokes. And more times too! Of course, a full scoop will bring even bigger clouds but I get stingy and try to cash it all in one pull so I try to stick to 1/2 scoops.

I just use a dry q-tip after every dab to wipe out all the reclaim then I'll do a ISO soak every once in a while for deeper cleanings.

Yeah, I use a dry qtip to mop the dish and underside of the cap clean after each dab. If it gets dirty I turn the enail down to 200 and let it settle then use distilled water and fill the dish. Within a minute or so the water loosens all the gunk up and you can pour out the water and qtip out the residue easily.

I use it all the time. I dont have another grinder that can give me the fine grind I want for the FP.

The Newvape grinder really works optimally, and I believe is drsigned to, when fully loaded.

Just something to consider. I would suggest that for smaller amounts of herb like 0.3 g or below, you might not achieve as consistent and fine a grind as with some other models which are better suited for smaller loads.

I finally got the LIFT and in my experience the fine grind is more chunky than the Brilliant (my favorite 3 piece for vape grind). I also use the NV and it's awesome. The big Volcano grinder works amazing but it gunks up easy.

As someone with an OG Flowerpot should I consider upgrading to a newer one? I generally just use flower, but I do enjoy a double decker on occasion. I thoroughly enjoy it the way it is so I had not really considered upgrading, but here I am hitting it now, way too high pondering the allegory of the cave and wondering what I might be missing out on.

I wonder if the ShowerHead (SH) Coil Cover will work on that one.
Unluckily it seems it’s not available at their website.
A coil cover will make the Wrap Around system pretty close to a VROD/SH hybrid system.
A Coil Cover will let you go down on temperatures, that will help in noticing differences in performance and else.

Another improvement will be a glass bowl.
That’s a quite noticeable upgrade.

Another noticeable upgrade, if you don’t find the Coil Cover, is to find a cap that works with the Wrap Around.
A carb cap will noticeable help you milk those hits, without turning the temperatures up.
And it works pretty good!!!

I can’t imagine another thing to change the performance of the Wrap Around system.
Hard to really know without trying.
Anyways, any FP system is top vaping!!!

I am pretty certain I have seen the Dnail Halo's fit the Vrod quite nicely!

Wow this is an active thread. First week with my vrod and obviously can see why.

First things first, absolutely loving the vrod.
I seem to be enjoying slightly higher temps for now, 690-710 and usually capped, but I’m getting good fast extraction that’s fairly even.

Surprisingly (to me, at least) I prefer the glass bowl over the titanium, simply for the view of watching green turn to brown in 6 seconds, even though there’s no question in mind mind, titanium bowl is ultimately “better” / both have their place, and the glass gets dirty in 2 seconds.

Meeting the crew, seeing the shop, hanging for a bit with Edwyn, Chris, Lori... all super nice, passionate, knowledgeable people. Very enjoyable hang with Edwyn who was more than excited to show me around and talk shop while they prepared my order.

then I sped back to my house at a wildly unnecessary speed and got everything plugged in and... I don’t remember much after that. I couldn’t stop “experimenting” so I’ll just leave a few more initial thoughts here.

first... the enail/flowerpot desktop concept has, for me at least, turned a session into a way more “tunable” experience... Similar to espresso, tweaking the grind, dryness (of beans, or flower) draw/pull speed, piece... all in play here, happening quickly, for a concentrated jolt. I wanted a faster session and now I’m practically a goddamn herbbarista. I am absolutely enjoying the fiddling... best part is, it always works LOL.

ok next, buddy up top @someTooL is like my vrod spirit animal. He’s like a week ahead of me and keep learning a bunch from his posts, so thanks for doing a lot of the footwork for me. I hate myself for not realizing the heat post can, and should, go in the center of the big stand like you have it, not off on the edge like I have it. You have your setup figured out nicely. I dig it.

If your getting that clicking sound as the head is heating up that's pretty normal, at least I get it too when I turn mine on every morning and I've read about it from others. It's just the metal expanding a little as it heats up, nothing to worry about.

Glad to see you and other new owners enjoying the beautiful thing we call the Flower Pot! I'm mad jealous about you being able to visit the shop and the New Vape crew!

Heat expansion. Completely normal. You'll hear it any time it is heating up or cooling down.

Thank you guys. I suspected it’s completely normal, but I also come from a almost a decades worth of handling 18650 battery cells (used to vape nic, that sure was fun to quit)

...so my gut reaction to any hot electronics near my face/body making any new or exciting sounds is “ yeah let’s power that off and step away for a second justttttt in case”

And @710yota indeed visiting NewVape was the icing on the cake/nail in the coffin for me, and although it’s not saying a whole lot honestly, the highlight of my move to Miami so far lol. VERY dope field trip.

Just getting to poke my head in and see what the company is all about was fun in and of itself. Obviously it’s great to see a nice, professional, clean facility, which of course they have. They asked me to sign in on arrival and their last visitor came through in May? Ultimately its a machine shop with a website, not a retail store, and I knew that walking in.

Anyway.... To have the creator goof off with you for an hour ... even try to pick your brain and spitball ideas just as a fellow enthusiasts... was obviously quite unique, but just wild in general.

Then you finally TRY the thing and you realize the guy is actually a wizard and the device is basically the noisy cricket for flowers instead of aliens.

I just tried my first kief-topped bowl for science as I won’t get concentrates for another few days.

Very tasty. Tasted like a dab.


And @Zangano Cruel thanks for your hard work, but someone’s gotta do it. Honestly after seeing that science experiment with 5 bowls and a million heads I feel like I need to see this shit in action some time. How do I catch the next time you’re getting extra scientific?

Yes they were. Totally agree now. Haven’t used any of my portables since I got the vrod. Loving the whole experience of using it. Start to finish it’s like a ritual.
