Anyone found a replacement 20mm coil for the New Vape PID on Dhgate? I can only find them paired with PID's over there. Since its China sourced I dont mind going the Dhgate route if I can save a couple bucks.

Edit: Found em, listed under Vapecode on DHgate. Cheaper straight from New Vape :p

Definitely a chance to save, but don't forget Chinese New Year just started. That adds about 6 + weeks, but if your not in a hurry... rage it.

So the Flowerpot ruled the Weekend here, had a lot of fun serving bowls to combusting friends :D

The Showerhead is the only Vape i own which just satisfies friends who normaly do not vape, the longer i use it the more i appreciate this thing.

It s not "just" a vape, it s the goldstandard of cannabis consumption (probably a bit too enthusiastic, but you understand me i guess)

I hope you all have a good start into a great week!

EDIT: I would like to try a basket screen in my OG bowl like in the Pics from @disGRUNTled , which ones fit? Evo or Arizer?

I think the Arizer baskets fit. Evo lids are loose

I like the cord in the front much better.

:2c:

No joke, I learned this last year...6+ weeks seems about right. lol

I would prefer the cord in the front also but have the newer controller. No biggie but perhaps something to keep in mind for the future...

Thanks for clarification, i will go on the hunt now :-)

Any chance for a custom order SH? Would love one with slightly smaller holes. I'll pay good money! :brow:

Put your specs in a request to Edwyn @ sales@newvape.com and he'll let ya know!

I would take one too..... if you really get around to it perhaps we can work something out...

:peace:

"Using a 14mm size glass and the 14mm bowl post will drastically increase draw resistance and may give you what your looking for.

Our current 20mm showerhead uses 19 holes .078" dia drilled thru a 1.2" center section and is designed around a 3/4" screen. That combination number of holes, length of center section, and hole dia is the flowerpot's special sauce.

I'm also under the belief that laying the material flat across a suspended 3/4" screen with direct full coverage of the entire screen area is critical.

I'm testing a 3rd flowerpot head that combine the wraparound and showerhead into one. (Code name vrod) it uses the standard wraparound head with sic/quartz dish, 1 hole in and 19 out. There is a little more draw resistance with this head. It's also 1/4" taller than the existing heads (not happy with this).

it's not a trivial machining process to drill 19holes 5/64" straight thru 1.2" deep. (I believe that current cycle time is 45min just to drill the holes in one showerhead) switching to a smaller size drill will increase the cycle time and increase cost.

what size hole and qty were you thinking of.

this being said I'm open to discussing a smaller version of the flowerpot system based around a 3/8 or 1/2 screen.

sorry for the ramblings. feel free to share any of this on FC

Well, that little snippet from Edwyn is definitely nice as fuck... Very pleased to hear he's been working on it. And of course he says hes "not happy" with it lol. What a fuckin dude. This is why I like newvape, he's out here innovating and refining an already great product, and isn't happy with what I'm sure took him a decent bit of logistics and machining to even get working...

I'd also be interested in seeing if there were any plans for 25mm? Just to up the ante a bit. I haven't thought about this and nor do I really think about it from a physics/machining perspective, but maybe a larger mass with fewer airholes than the current showerhead?

Regardless, the vrod head is about 10x more interesting to me atm.

@NewVape710 pls come back

... @NewVape420 have you guys looked into doing anything with 25mm coils yet?...i could only imagine a 25mm showerhead :mmmm:

A design could work with 25mm just as it does 16mm but we feel that 20mm is really the sweet spot. You could have the exact same hole pattern (and width of pattern) with just more mass involved for heat retention but again we've found that to be unnecessary even without the coil cover in place. Per Edwyn's comment above, the amount of mass that currently exists vs the holes and their diameter is definitely the sweet spot. That's why the (potential)vRod ends up being a little taller - that core chunk of the ShowerHead needed to be maintained in every way to function properly, and the transition section from 1 large hole to 19 smaller holes added that extra 1/4".

To get maybe a little too deep on this - yeah, instead of drilling 19 holes we could drill 29 smaller holes, or whatever number/size in a different pattern. Not saying that would never work, but that smaller drill bit is going to break far more often, and the extra holes take extra time, so suddenly the ShowerHead part costs a LOT more than it currently does. So in order to make it economical as possible, Edwyn came up with the current # of hoes, diameter, width, etc. Sweet spot.

Smells delicious , are those possibly ceramic inserts ? maybe just paper to keep it clean.

Nope that's the machining oil and water(milk) mix that is constantly sprayed on the drill bit as its working. Once finished they go into a lengthy ultrasonic bath to completely clean them.

@NewVape420 @NewVape710 Love my Showerhead/Flowerpot! One thing I missed about fucking combustion was taking giant, knee buckling bong hits. This thing does just that.

I also picked up the WA for the D-nail SIC dish. I'm a head, so sometimes I put flower in the SH/FP, then dab with the WA /SIC on top of the SH (both on different controllers!) Not really safe and sturdy but definitely :science::mental::science:

16mm ShowerPot for 10mm mini tubes? ........

Cool to see some interest in the smaller holes, I noted a while ago I think it would add just a hair more draw resistance for certain airy tubes which do not work well with the SH without capping. It would just add a touch more "regulation" to the draw for regular beakers and straight tubes. :ninja:
