No worries at all for you, then!

Set a temp somewhere between 600 and 800, and pretty much any FlowerPot head (ShowerHead, WrapAround, Etc.) and you'll be rolling in vapors in short order... maybe slowing down your draw speed if needed. Lower and higher temps are more touchy, for different reasons... but are still super easy to just "pick up" if you left it that way and don't want to wait for a temp re-adjust.

As far as "Sweet Spots", it's a matter of experimentation and finding what works best for you. Mine are 710 for dabbing off my SiC WrapAround head, and between 640-680 for herb and ShowerHead, depending on strain. Everyone's preferences will be different.

Easy schmeezy, mate! :)

Sounds very fun and easy, was just makin sure - thanks guys!

Yeah don't let my comments put you off @WAM90 i experiment because it's my nature to tinker ;). I've gone through a few temps now starting at 600f and up to 657f. I found that 600 was to low for get a good amount of vapour (through water twice filtered) with a decent draw speed, flavour however was top notch.

625f was a good half way point before @Justpassedu put me onto 640f as a good area to aim at, I might go down to 630f as it seemed "sweet"

Whatever starting temp you go for you'll be happy as Larry you brought flower pot. I've been trying to find a perfect temp for both herb and dabs, so far it's been a little elusive but 630 -640 seems good for both through water. Doing it dry from now on so I'm guessing the lower number will be the winner, it's all about flavour for me, clouds come easy it's the flavour I'm trying to nail down hard :)

Kinda how I tested low 500's and will only do it again as a treat for the flavour savour hits and special strains, but mostly will be over 600.

Thanks bro, first the sv3 and now the FP....you guys are an epic duo!!! And hardcore heavy hitters!

@NewVape710 - Just an idea, not sure if it's been brought up before yet....

Would it be feasible for you to make a Ti "Insert" for the bowl? You could make it the same thickness as the current lip, and it would be incredible for micro dosing IMO and just rapid blast execution type hits with the heat barreling straight down the bore. Kinda of like a Ti washer I suppose. Should be fairly easy to manufacture i'd guess, and reasonable cost.

I dunno, just thinking out loud and throwing it out there! :)

EDIT: This Ti washer insert would also change the heating dynamics and add more element of conduction potentially. Super simple, removable, and adds even more versatility to an already extremely versatile vape.

I'm not understanding this idea.

I'm not understanding this idea.

I think I made it sound more complicated than it should have been.

Nuts & Bolts..... just picture a nut falling into the bowl made from Ti....this will prevent herb from sitting on the "ledge". Sorry I suck at explaining things maybe someone else will jump in here. :)

So, I'm picturing a small insert, about half height of the bowl, with width allowing the EQ basket screens to be dropped in there.

This will have 2 uses: microdosing WITH the eq baskets, and microdosing without.

if using the eq screens it brings the load closer to the heat, opposed to the current design.

and if you are using the stock screen, it'll restrict airflow and make it easier to do amounts of <.05 without herb flying everywhere.

Is it practical? I don't know. I'm really baked but this is what I pictured when it was mentioned earlier.

NewVape got into the wrong business making vaporizers, man...

If you wanna hop on this, there's still time! I'll do the "strenuous" hand torching for you as long as I get compensated in FP parts :brow::rofl:

ok to make you not have to click the link it's a grade 5 Ti iPhone case that probably uses less material than a showerhead combo selling for over $1000.

That's awesome, i'd love to hear what you come up with!

I decided to look around the house and see if I could find anything to rig up some sort of smaller bowl w/ what I had lying around (random little piece of SS tubing), and no proper tools.. I used a cordless drill, pipe cutter, metal file  It was simple, but a little tedious to make it the way I did it, but I think it turned out pretty nice for what it is.. nothing too crazy..

I had to grind part of the SS tubing down to fit clean into the ID of the hole in the bowl.. that was my solution to make what I had work so I could try it out.. Ideally I pictured some spacer that could just be dropped in on top of the screen, but I didn't have any good DIY options for that..

It seems to work just as well as a normal size bowl (maybe a little less), which kind of surprises me because I would've expected it to rip a little harder at the same temp w/ the reduced airflow and smaller load size.. Anyways, now that I have a small bowl size option, I'll mess around w/ it a little more and see how I feel about it after a little time has passed..

@Buildozer Holy shit you're batman dude!!! :rockon::tup::clap:

Pretty damn amazing that the SH is so efficient it doesn't even need any mods/hacks! I've been experimenting with micros all night and they work awesome, I just put them in the centre of the screen.

Looking forward to any further developments with your testing, but that looks pretty cool, and quite impressive.

That looks great, but I'm not sure I understand what benefit there would be over just dropping in a standard basket screen to reduce the bowl size?

TBH I'm not all that excited about it, but now that I have it I'll definitely be messing w/ it from time to time.. but I like getting really baked, so I'll probably just stick to that for the most part :spliff:

I guess the only benefit would be that you could adjust the screen wherever you wanted  Never tried the basket screen, all mine are in a box somewhere and I don't really wanna try and find them.

Amazing. thank you.
grade 5 is implant grade not sure why they picked that.
I can make them if you can sell them.
Even the box is cool

If your body has a grove for the screen then these should fit

Thank you, it's been discussed before and in the end I still don't know what basket screens even fit the new style bowl. I was quite sure it was mentioned here that it does NOT fit EQ basket screens NOR VXL ELBs, but rather they fit the OLD style bowl?

From what I think is true, the NEW style bowl fits DDave basket screens. But I just don't know whether 14mm or 18mm (they don't say the 10.5mm size). And apparently the new bowls fit VXL ELB "CAPS" (as you posted).

I don't have any arizer EQ basket screens anymore nor vxl ELBs, and they aren't cheap enough for me to just buy on trial and error.

But I DO know that the Errlectric Ti screens fit, so my money is going there for now, although a basket screen mod would be fun to tinker with.

If anyone here with a newer style bowl has Arizer EQ basket screens, VXL ELBs, and/or DDave basket screens, please let us know what fits and what doesn't. Thank you!

All the basket screens I have fit my new bowl. Every single one (that's 18mm obviously, the 14mm ones do NOT fit)

Like I said, I'm not convinced the EQ screens and evo screens are different. I bought them as evo caps for my tubo... and the one Ddave sells are for the EQ. :hmm:

This shit is a mess of too many names for the same object

@NewVape710 , Edwyn don't you think it's meanwhile time to offer 220 V devices yourself? This more against the background of having now an European distributor? Guess you would sell more of your own controllers w/o the hassle for customers of ordering these devices in China.

Perhaps in addition a coil adapter would be usefully to connect your coils with an already existing controller whose pins are connected in a "standard D-Nail style"?

...and...a microdose bowl or a bowl insert (maybe out of boro) at least to stop all this trial and error! ;)

What basket screens do you have? They are all DDave screens 18mm correct? With rims.

This shit is a mess of too many names for the same object

We have:

DDave basket screens with rim (18mm fit)
Arizer EQ Elbow basket screen
VXL ELB basket (bottom) and (cap) - said to be 10.5mm

If we could just once get a real confirmation from a member with a new bowl and any combo of the above, we can put this case to rest once and for all.

a microdose bowl or a bowl insert (maybe out of boro) at least to stop all this trial and error! ;)

Not necessary. That insert idea I came up with was just a #flowerpotmoment thinking too much when I now realize that the FP does micros incredibly perfectly well just the way it is. No mod required!

My thinking was that the heat would channel more over your micro, but even if you just place the tiniest load ever right in the centre it vapes up just incredibly!

EDIT: VXL ELB to land today so will confirm/rule that one out unless someone beats me to it.

I didn't get all mine from Dave though, like I said, I really am NOT convinced all three of the things you listed aren't actually the same thing.

I'd be more impressed if whatever rimmed basket screens you got DON'T fit.

Someone here mentioned that they EQ basket did NOT fit the new bowl. @emmdeemo maybe?

The EQ elbow screens and VXL ELBS are similar but NOT the same? I know that the VXL caps/lids are different from the Arizer ones because the VXL cap can FIT IN the Arizer caps believe it or not.

Like I said, we'll scratch the VXL off as soon as my mail arrives. I got this brand new EVO in a trade that I have zero use for!

Hello people i like to see lots of experimenting here. In my journey experiencing the Showerhead I did a little discovery: If i hit my showerhead i can feel the effects in less than 10 seconds. All my other vapes take like a minute or so. Why? Effect aside times should be equal so there is something here that i dont understand.

Yes I can confirm 100% that the only thing that fits inside the new bowl with groove is the EVO elb caps. I am unsure on the DDave screens as I do not have them. The baskets from EQ do not fit.

The EQ basket is bigger than the ELB caps I have both and can confirm without a doubt that they are different sizes. If you buy the actual airzer EQ screens and the EVO ELB baskets and you will see there is a big difference in size. The ELB top cap screen can fit inside the EQ basket screen. I hope no one wastes their money buying basket screens that do not fit.

@NewVape710 the outside of the ELB basket screen is 11.8 mm so is the EQ screen. The outside of the elb cap is 10.5 mm. And for anyone else I measured the inside of the new bowl at 11 mm. Hopes this helps.

I am not 100% on this and hate to compare but i believe it is due to a similar process the sublimator vape uses where and i quote from them " The inhalation process produces a vacuum pressure within the device, which then is combined with the thermal energy and atomization to produce a dense gas from your organic compound. The gas particles are finer than your standard vapor molecule making them easier on the lungs and easier for the body to absorb. During this process all essential oils and terpenes are extracted from the organic substance providing the purest flavor. "
