Legit first impression. Should be the FP slogan IMO!

I have a question for the dnail setup folks. I tried a hit w/o the carb cap and the vapor is not so good, quite thin, seemed to be similar with both light and heavy draw. Is there a preferred method with a small recycler to get good vapor w/o a carb cap? Temp on controller is 640F.

Up your temperature. Most of us in this thread are running the dish setups around 710 plus/minus for concentrates and double-decker (flower+concentrate) use.

Loving this thread.... what a difference compared to some others....so much love....and such characters. @muunch @ichibaneye your back and forth had me !!!!!!!!! So many poets here!
I'm also available for weekend engagements and Bar/Bat Mitzvah's. Just make sure to book me 2 weeks in advance. I'll even give you the friend discount. :D

Do I need to "season" the head before dabbing or something?
Seasoning is more attributed to usage and not actually a procedure that is implemented. Just start dabbing and it'll all come together after a few dabs.

Autism - you get everything or you get nothing.
True that! You savant you!

9 inch CCG Seed Of Life perc rig came in today! Total shredder!

You've got a nice glASS! I look forward to some usage porn soon.

I just finished reading the last few pages... been super busy the last few days.
The thing I'm most excited to hear is that NewVape is going to do at least the ShowerCap Carb Cap in Titanium. Oh yeah! :D

I'm still hoping for a Titanium LolliCap... currently my most desired product from NewVape! ;)
NV will be offering both the Lollicap and Showercap in Ti. Mmmmmhmmm ohhhh yeah!

Just had my first dab off the sapphire halo w/FP (no flower. Full disclosure I'm still a little intimidated) 640F, didn't change a thing from my flower setup. Beautiful hit, one of the best I've had in some time actually. I want to go lower in temps, had very little residue on the dry swab.

Please email sales@newvape.com or pm me your email address and I will fix this asap. I apologize for the mistakes.

No way! 2 of those 3 are must haves day one! @Stu you'll be well taken care of lickity split by @NewVape710 ! They're no slouches over there on the beast coast.

Just to update: I contacted NV and they have immediately acted to make it right. A+ customer service so far. No complaints at all. Soon I'll have the full compliment of FP tools to play with.

At least you can try the showerhead!!
Indeed. So far I'm impressed.

I wish the stand had a spot for the bowl and (soon to have) ShowerCap. I'll probably never use the de-bowler and there would be plenty of room for a cap and bowl holster instead IMO. :2c:

I'm with @Stu here. The de-bowler is functional and all but personally I would not be using it either. I see it over time being a bit harder on my screens than I would like. Especially if you're not being somewhat careful.

I find that the old T S B technique works great and quickly. T=tap S=scrape B=blow. Tap the bowl, scrape/scratch the screen top, blow air through the bowl from the bottom out the top.

I'd too for sure would take advantage of and also utilize something that held the bowls upright, in-place and at the ready. Maybe this could be incorporated into existing designs without to much tweaking? :hmm: I had this in mind for a bit and thanks to Stu I'm happy to know I'm not alone here.

I was also thinking that @NewVape710 it would be cool if you also offered the option to substitute out the de-bowler/s spike that comes with the stands that have the FP rest in them for a second FP rest instead. This would allow for two FP set-ups to be @ temperature and battle ready for those of us who have two controllers and/or multiple FP's.

Oh and again maybe offering the retaining nuts for individual sale too. I had my only one fall to the floor awhile back and it decided to take an impromptu journey to the land of the lost. Right then and there at that moment I thought the world was going to end. :o Luckily after about 10 minutes of searching I finally located that little guy. If I had not found it I would have been up shit creek without a paddle. :freak:

Otay!
it's time for bed now. I'll be headed to Northern California this Friday. I hope to bring back some hard to find live rosins that are not on the menus in my area  I'll be sure to share them here with you all when I return.

Good Lord you guys think forward here a bit more. :bang: For the allowable versatility to be taken full advantage of with the Showerhead one will need the Showercap is what I'm saying is all. This holds true for both flower and errl, class dismissed. :myday:

Just tried this and a second resting head totally fits into the hole. (though I'm sure you meant them simply offering the sub)

All of the extra resting posts I have finally coming to use.

Fwiw, now that I've gotten used to the female bowl and removing it, I don't really use the duff spike either - a simple tap (on the handle of the bowl) into my mason jar and the whole load plops right in.

Would be VERY interested in you taking one for the team and trying flower (as a double decker). I think you might be the only person in this thread using sapphire. I'm very very curious as I'd get the wrap-around if your results were as good as I expect.

I'll give it a shot tonight and report back. I went to bed 2 hours late last night because I took that rip, was laying in bed vibrating so hard I had to get back out of bed for a while. Gotta love sativas. Word to wise, no mickey kush in the evening.

I havent used an inhaler for two days now. My lungs feel completely clear today, and I vaped all day yesterday with full bowls.

I'm staying down at 540f for flower for sure. And considering my temp readings, with the carb cap on, its not low temps at all, but for some reason, its still making ALL the difference to my ability to be able to breathe and still vape decent quantities.

This is a complete game changer for me, and it was already a complete game changer previously. Medicinally, the SH/SC combo just stepped up to YET ANOTHER level of perfect.

it's time for bed now. I'll be headed to Northern California this Friday. I hope to bring back some hard to find live rosins that are not on the menus in my area  I'll be sure to share them here with you all when I return.

Live rosin choices, I wish we had that over here! :)

And yes, if it werent for these 'low' temp tests I've been doing, I'd still be with everyone else in the 'SC isnt necessary but its good to have' camp, now its revealed these medicinal uses and this unexpected lung clarity... I'm with you here.

Showercap is now essential for me (not saying it is for everone, but without it, I'd have had to stop using the SH for a few days)

Eh... I guess if you're really into concentrates and use more of them than you do flower.

Thanks for your feedback bro, i'm 95-99% flower and 1-5% rosin so it's probably not even worth it. I still even wonder how someone can detect a stainless screen through the power of flower. I have a Ti screen and haven't even replaced the included stainless because it tastes awesome? I'll eventually make the switch, and I have a super sensitive palate, yet haven't ever been able to detect a stainless screen. For those that CAN detect it, i'd love to see a blind pepsi test!

Sorry I haven't been able to update my experience on the SH! Moving homes soon so ive been really busy packing.

So you, @lazylathe, and I are all moving at the same time! :rofl:No apology required, I was just busting your chops bro. SO happy you're loving it as I am! I guess you don't miss/regret selling the herbo ti? What about compared to your og setup?

I think I may be purchasing the OG bowl.

Same here!

Also, about the EQ screens for micro dosing I tried them in the new bowl designs and am not a fan of it. It makes cleaning up messier IMO. The SH air intake holes now cover the whole bowl area so a normal screen is good enough. I'll be purchasing the errlectric screens soon, thanks everyone who recommended those! :-)

Confused here.... @muunch was it you that said that the eq screens do not work in the new bowl design? Honestly though, the stock screen is awesome....nice and snug due to that ledge...that's huge. So the og bowl design does not have this ledge? Which is why the eq screen was a popular mod? I'm thinking of picking up the ddave basket screens just to see what they're like. It's the 18mm screen I need for the 18mm bowl? Or only the 14mm fits?

Seasoning is more attributed to usage and not actually a procedure that is implemented. Just start dabbing and it'll all come together after a few dabs.

Actually it is a procedure that is implemented for Ti nails. It uses a torch. Probably just a shortcut so you don't taste metallic during the "natural" seasoning process.

Just to update: I contacted NV and they have immediately acted to make it right. A+ customer service so far. No complaints at all. Soon I'll have the full compliment of FP tools to play with.

Can't wait for the claisen FP+sv3! ;)

I'll probably never use the de-bowler and there would be plenty of room for a cap and bowl holster instead IMO. :2c:

Precisely! That stand is awesome but i'm not tossing my abv in there.... hopefully we can purchase the HOT head stand screw in, as i'm sure i'll get another coil.

I kinda wish I had a dual pid now!

Money!

Oh and again maybe offering the retaining nuts for individual sale too

Don't they already? For $20? Or am I confusing what a retaining nut is? Like the centre post one?

This holds true for both flower and errl, class dismissed. :myday:

Are you supposed to spin the cap when used for herb?

All of the extra resting posts I have finally coming to use.

Dude! What is that smaller simply stand?? Is that the one that has been discontinued due to reports of it being knocked over easily? I love the simplicity of it...and no debowler or holes for tools. If it was just an inch bigger I bet it wouldn't fall over. Money! Interested in a trade? lol

Word to wise, no mickey kush in the evening.

I see that it's a sativa strain, but aren't "kushes" supposed to all be indicas? :hmm:

I'm staying down at 540f for flower for sure. And considering my temp readings, with the carb cap on, its not low temps at all

This isn't the Vapecode controller is it? :hmm:

----------

So my mind continues to be blown....initially usage shot up due to novelty and wanting to test test test! But now that i've got it somewhat dialed in, my usage is dropping. It's a hard decision (#1stworldwhining) whether to vape up .15g in one bowl, or split it up into 3 tasty smaller ones! Still can't believe how awesome this is and how happy I am with it!

:bowdown:NewVape!!!

PS. More testing with blowing on the coil after sitting for a while.... it will be the go to. Even at low temp (600) with it stewing, blowing off the heat makes a much better first hit experience.

Oh, and I think it's absolutely dope that my bowl w/handle weigh precisely 33.0g! Makes it super easy for weighing out loads without having to zero the scale. Talk about precision crafted!

Still using the Auber rdk200, Vapecode should be arriving today. I'm looking forward to seeing if any of my kit is giving faulty readings. My lungs appear to be noticing a difference. The heat coming off the top of the SH doesnt seem as fierce. But as I've said before, I'm autistic and my senses can be way exaggerated or completely dulled to nothing so I'm a fan of gathering data instead of relying on my own sensory input :)

I'm betting on it man...540 is definitely low temp territory with my NV vapecode, even with the cap. IMO anything under 600 is low temp. In fact, with my limited testing, i'd venture to say it's more like ultra-low temp. My girl is my benchmark...she can only hit the Mighty at 155-160ish, supreme the same temps, it's pretty low temp vapour.... and with the SH she's at 600f. I'm more of a 180c moderate temp enthusiast, sometimes higher temps.... and i'm at 675-685 at this point and i'd say it's about 180-190ish. Over 700 is high temp country, and more akin to 190-200+ IMO.

@lazylathe I lost your temperature in the bowl formula! Hook a brother up again please! :D

That's great news. I have asthma and have been following your experiments. As soon as I get home from MD Anderson Cancer Center next week (they got me in remission yay), I'm ordering the flower kit to replace my LSV as my daily driver.

I hope I can replicate your success

As the previous owner of two LSV's, I can assure you that you're going to LOVE it. It's like an LSV (not really), but better in every single way, with digital precision, lack of hot spots, more versatility, etc. Trust me, it is the biggest upgrade to your LSV ever imaginable! How can it not be, when it's a connoisseur level top shelf vape, which I personally consider to be "next level".

I'm certainly always, always, always open to being wrong. I'm just hoping I'm not as way off with this as I could be. I went through using this auber and the 16mm OGFP for a month or so, have been using a vapecode SH for a month or so, then back to the 16mm OGFP and the auber, now on the auber and re-wired by me 20mm SH. So the only real unknown quantity here is my rewiring which could have made all the difference (and general wear and tear and something dying over time).

Anyway, the fact that is I'm autistic and can get things very, very wrong. Hopefully, I can get definitive answers later today.

Even at temps that I considered 'normal' beforehand, up in the 600's, the hits were the easiest time my asthma has ever had with a vape, but lets not consider my experiments at these low low temps a success just yet :)

FWIW, yesterday i picked up a Fluke T52 and Temp Probe from Work to get a clue what temps appear on the showerhead vs what is set on the controller, as we are using Celsius here i am refering to that as Showerhead temperature but u can easily transfer that again using any calc.

I dont have a newvape controller but since it seems to be the same PID i guess it will work
more or less the same so here is the table i mesured yesterday, the temps in real are no ON SPOT
because i used average temps (coil cools and warms up again)

I'm already pre heated to 540f so I'll just check what I get with the k-type here...

540f controller here is approx. 235c/455f SH dish temp. So it looks like my temps are little high to say the least?

yes, but unlike most of you (i guess at least) a 220v Coil. (dunno how much of a difference that makes since the Temp. Probes in the coils are the same i guess..

As said Temps are also variing (even more since the coil also heats up..cools down), those are average numbers to give a good guess, i also noticed that on my coil the hottest place on the dish is on the opposite of where the handle of the coil is. (sorry my engl is not the best ;) )

BUT as also mentioned, thats on my setup, i cant guarantee anything, best bet would be more peops measure their setups :)

ah can anyone put my posts together..sorry..too much showering today :p

Yes both will be titanium.

I'll be glad to send you a piece with your next newvape purchase.

Here the place I get the hempwick from.
https://www.hempwick.com/collections/hempwick-samples/products/hempwick-sample-pack

I am very impressed with your service and I may have to take you up on that with my next order which should be in a couple of weeks. I still havent received my FP but i should today. I order on Monday and my order is out for delivery today and your across the county in Florida. Again, i am impressed with your service and from what im reading here, i will also be impressed with your products. I love the Enail Handle though as that is the only newvape product I own for the next few hours. To bad my 20mm coil wont arrive until tomorrow. And i ordered that before i ordered from newvape!

I still have 11 items on my newvape wish list to check off. But i am sure you will indirectly force me to add to that number. Keep it up! I will post my thoughts Monday when I should be up and running.

Edit** I also get my Liger 30mm SiC set up tomorrow. Its setting up to be a baked weekend!

@biohacker You do not need to spin the SC around with flower but it is good practice to hone that spinning skill for those errl sessions later on up top.

As per the nut it's the little guy that holds the inserts in place up at the very top of the FP's. It keeps them from spinning and makes the final seal more complete so your errls do not goop down past/in between and under the inserts.

@Shooby At one point I had made a list. In the end I ditched it because I was tired of constantly updating it thanks to @NewVape710. So I Just made a NV account and basically have added almost every item to my wishlist there that I currently don't own. Then I intentionally ignore the total cost that added up. I refuse to admit that I'm spending far to much and plan to spend even more. I now tell myself that I'm making donations instead. This cuts down on the sting... well in theory at least! :freak:

Speaking of those coil covers, I did some research looking for other options as I thought $40 was a bit much for that amount of metal...well the only other options are $99 and ugly as hell. So $40 isn't all that bad for the cover. $30 would be ideal though...:D:2c:
