I'm done pissing away my money to LP's.

None of the LPs are worth our time or deserving of our money. Big pharma companies charging insane markups for B-grade product because of a government enforced oligopoly. Come "legalization" we just extend the privileges of the RCMP to violate the rights of anyone who doesn't want to support the Shit Weed Cartel. What a nightmare.

The absolute best product I have ever gotten from an LP is maybe comparable to what a good MOM charges $8/g for, and I've never seen anything remotely close to the quality I'd get for $10. Which I'm more than happy to pay if the quality is top notch.

 Could not agree more!!!!!

EDIT: All comes down to "who do you trust"? :)

Almost there...
I just received my first legal order of herb!
I signed up with Broken Coast a while ago and thought i should order to have my prescription on hand, just in case...

When i compare it to the MOM herb i got in the same day, there is NO comparison at all...
Broken Coast for the WIN big time.
Granted it was also my first order from West Coast 420 Express, they also came highly recommended off Reddit but i will not be buying from them again. Trim job was atrocious, some smell like hay, buds are small and a bit airy. I have them in small mason jars doing their final cure and i will re-evaluate their smells in a few days again.
I bought $300 from them and almost have 2 ounces.
Broken coast was 10g for just over $100.

BC nugs are big, solid, covered in trichromes from outside to the stem, smell is pungent and they hit like a train!! Open the jar and they smell like quality AAAA strains.
I noticed no difference to taste, aroma or strength due to being irradiated either.
Their strains are getting more abundant since being bought out by Aphria!

If they can keep the quality up and i get to claim it back on my taxes, i may stick with them for a bit!
Seriously impressed!! Expensive but so are the MOM's i usually buy from...

This is exactly my experience. That's why I bought from Broken Coast for all of 2017.

I just e-mailed Aurora, wanted to confirm for sure if they electron beam sterilize or not (as the fact that they heavily promote that they do not gamma irradiate is misleading if they do, as when they say they don't gamma irradiate, don't use any pesticides, etc., it kinda' implies that they don't electron beam sterilize)
Just to follow up on my own thread here ... still waiting to find out about this ... I’ve emailed them 5 times since the initial request, it’s now been >8 business days, I also called them to inquire/follow up and they assured me they would call me back that day with an answer as they were trying to get an answer for me but had been very busy. They didn’t call me back. This was last Tuesday or Wednesday. They did respond in 1 day to a different service request question!

I’m thinking Better Business Bureau next ...

Wow, that would personally might be enough to sour me on them. I still haven't ordered from BC...every time I get my cart loaded up and then it's "nope, too expensive for my taste" Better selection and cheaper prices always put my $$$ in the grey/blacket market ( whatever you want to call it)

I got the THC oil from broken coast, nice light oil it has a medium to strong cannabis taste. Four drops gives me a nice relaxing pain relief feeling. It hits in about 40min and its so easy to use. At $50 for 33ml to me that's a great deal.

I just got my first order from THC biomed. Better than what I expected but overall
"meh" definitly just mids. well produced mids, not too dry, similar to what mettrum used to produce.

What I did was call them and just start hitting random extensions, eventually you will get an executive who will actually answer your question. I got Cam, he wasn't very nice. Give it a try.

Hey man, have you ever tried Organigram? I’m pretty impressed. With their current offerings.

Too expensive for me. I wanna try James E Wagner Cultivation next. Just waiting for my doc to sign me up.

I think Broken Coast's THC MCT oils are a great deal as well ... their CBD and 1:1 oils not so much as they are 50% more expensive! $50 is an awesome price ... $75 not so much ...

Check out the 1:1 oil from Peace Naturals, I think it just went out of stock but it's only $55 and it's double the strength of most oils with a combined cannabinoid potency of like 44mg/ml. Only 20ml but that still works out to 6.25¢/mg where most oils are 9-15. Their oils are my favorite of any producer I've tried, really high quality with perfectly preserved aromatics. My two favorite strains through them are their Dancehall and Happy Feet, both of which have come along as oil as well.

If you're looking for a GREAT deal on a proudly Canadian vape and some decent bud, check out this offer from ABcann. Basically buy 20g and get a Solo 2 free. Works out to far less than you can buy it new for elsewhere, even if you're a sly deal hunter. Plus the bud! They just got a new batch of sensei star in, friends at work all say it's their favorite strain from them. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but that'll change shortly. Bummer to hear they're moving away from organic nutrients, but a free vape is a free vape.

They are licensed but it doesnt look like they are taking patients yet. No strains or prices listed on their site either. I'll keep an eye on them. I'd really like to try The Green Organic Dutchman as well but they have been in the same pre-registration stage for a while now too.

I've probably said this before but cooking with ABV produces entirely free THC edibles. Thats what I do. I'd never pay for edible oil. You can make it easily yourself. Just steep ABV in any type of oil on low heat for an hour (you can even buy MCT on amazon if you really want to) if you dont want solid bits just use a sieve, cheesecloth or coffee filter.

Yeah I’m gonna register with them when I can. They have their sales license too and didn’t mention they weren’t talking patients.

I somehow think Marc emery is involved through some loosely connected holding company as he said Beleave was his favourite LP.

Oh did you know they had a doctor at the Lift Expo signing patients up? No cost. Apparently they signed up a shitload.

Thats very interesting. I suspect they are just about to be up and running in the coming weeks. The registration page says "pre-registration" on it and has an option to "Receive updates when products becomes available".

Mark's happiness with them appears to stem from a 20gram/day script their doc renewed for him free of charge.

That’s it. Yeah they didn’t have a sign at their booth. Just one of the guys I knew from another company he used to work for that I did work with. So I don’t know if they were directing customers, or just had this clinic operated by them downstairs I think. I never saw it. The expo was so big this year.

I gotta say, I made a couple orders with Aurora for the first time in a long while, and Im actually really impressed with the quality. When I first ordered from them the quality was great, then it kinda got hit and miss for a while, but it seems to have recovered.

Strains I ordered were, LA Confidential, Cannatonic, 91 Krypt OG Melon, and Sour Diesel and Im really happy with them all (havent actually vaped the sour diesel yet but going to in a while, it looks and smells great though) I also have some Blue Dream coming Monday which I expect to be great aswell.

Felt I should share my experience, as its refreshing to have something good to say about a LP.

The sad thing about Aurora, is those are the same strains they had two years ago and the lines have weakened over times. They used to have new strains all the time.

Any LP is way better than they were 4 years ago, 3 years ago, 2 years ago and 1 year ago. They have al stated to adapt to the scale of growing and have improved the sciences around genotype clones before they even begin the growing process to ensure they are working with the correct cutting

Aurora is still dirt to me. The stuff they passed off after their initial good launch was enough to make me never look back with now over a hundred LPs.

Delta-9 is one of the few companies that are still family owned and operated. I’m sure there are others.

Aquaponics yield 30% greater than hydro. That’s where is at.

Sorta some have stuck it out and improved in some areas. But I'd say more importantly is that LPs have gone through many management changes too. The president of Tilray is now the president of Organigram. Executives from Tweed are now president and executives at Aurora. So many things have changed over the years its hard to keep track.

Some LPs at the start we're really great in one area. For example Tilray was really good at phenotyping and pricing by quality their sativa strains, and really great at producing quads of their CBD strains. Their indicas on the other hand were often dried way too long and had no kick. They were never sticky and pretty lousy phenos. They have one really good indica, OG Shark, and they hardly ever grow it to this day. It probably doesnt produce enough for whoever is running the business to be happy about the profit. Then they started pricing by THC % and gaming the system to get higher numbers and the whole thing went to shit and I left them.

I recently joined back up with Tilray this year and find it drastically different in both price and quality. It seems like they just have random sales now, and thats the only time I buy from them. Their phenos are OK, but not as great as before. they really let them go. the lines have definitely weakened.

Their "award winning" pink kush they try to pass off as that same stuff, when the pheno is not the same anymore. Not that it was so great to be award winning to begin with.

Its pales in comparison to CALM's pink kush. Not even in the same league.

I would say they got the art of mids down pat, but unfortunately those reasonably priced sativa quads are long gone. LPs winning awards for low quality stuff scares me, not sure whos voting but they never been to CALM or seen top shelf before.

Aurora is still dirt to me. The stuff they passed off after their initial good launch was enough to make me never look back with now over a hundred LPs.

Yep. Some quads mixed with some mids full of seeds. And then there was a couple strains grown by tweed that weren't cured at all.

Aquaponics yield 30% greater than hydro. That’s where is at.

At the end of the day I just want to see good cuts, top shelf grown, properly flushed dried and cured, and new strains coming out of LPs. I'm not seeing that today which greatly concerns me. The genetics in the legal market are at a bottleneck and I hope this improves soon.

Despite decent quality (but also fairly weakened genetics), recent price increases at broken coast have really put me off buying anything there. So disappointing.

Theres no denying Aurora has had quality issues in the past, I said that myself. That said, the stuff I just got is pretty good, and I am happy with it. Its not the best stuff ever, but its not bad by any measure. Im fairly new to this community and vaping, but not to cannabis. Ive not tried any other LPs than Aurora and Tilray, and have had both good and bad stuff from both.

I do think that the cultivation teams for most if not all LPs could benefit from some underground cannabis genetics and experience, theres no question about that.

I look forward to supplying myself again, but currently thats not an option for me and so I use Aurora, Tilray, and some buddies who sell black market weed. At the end of the day, Aurora has pretty good prices that are fair for the current quality I feel, its a shame they raised them but thats life.

Also in regards to the lower THC %'s consider that perhaps the testing, and methodology has simply become more accurate and perhaps some of those early numbers in the high 20s to low 30s were not entirely realistic, nor did they represent a majority of the batch. I do miss the Querkle though, I liked that stuff alot. I also happen to like alot of the strains they offer, but more variety would be nice Im sure that as their new facilities become operational that will stop being a issue.

Hopefully things get better for sure, but Im happy as long as I can get my CBD stuff and both Tilray and Aurora have always pleased me with their CBD offerings

Edit to add : I made the mistake of buying stuff from Aurora a couple times that they didnt grow themselves and it wasnt good either time, and I have made it a rule that I dont purchase anything theyve "thoughtfully curated" from another LP ever again, hah.

Please keep us posted.

I got a couple more strains from Aurora since last post and am again impressed and happy with what I got, woohoo! I got some blue dream and some ghost train haze, theyre both solid, and have incredibly powerful and distinct aromas.

The ghost train haze I will say is a little fluffier than I remember, but its really good regardless. I noticed they have a new strain up in their shop, I would like to try it, zombie kush. Its got lowish numbers for THC but high numbers for terpenes. Ive been rocked by stuff that was >10% and had stuff that was 29% apparently that got me high but not as high as expected. So the numbers arent always entirely relevant to the effects of the bud, although they are generally a good guideline.

Anyway back to the zombie kush, its a strain i havent heard of much but would love to try, cant order till the 26 haha. Its got a good parental line for the genetics, strains that I like quite a bit, plus I love that classic kush taste and smell so much. I dont see it running out though since its low %thc number haha. I thought at first it was gonna be from a different LP since they never had it in their growing or harvested section, I may call to double check before I make a order since every single time I order stuff they "thoughtfully curated" from a different LP its garbage.

Just thought I would chime in with more of my recent experiences, honestly at this point I am pretty happy and hopeful for the future. Things are going in the right direction, and it looks like its set to continue in that manner. As more and more of the new facilities become operational, we will see dramatic increases in the diversity of product lines I believe, which I look forward to.

Hope others are having positive experiences with their LPs aswell, its about time!
