Hey there! I reside in Southern Victoria also...Started taking a very big interest in vaporizing after quite a few cloudy sessions with Psyshaman testing out all his new arrivals and favorites ...Didn't smoke a lot before hand as I could never smash a heap of cones like some of my mates and for some reason have always been terrible at rolling spliffs! But after being introduced to the benefits of vaporizing it wasn't long before I developed the urge to get my own collection happening

Your thoughts on EHLE & ROOR bongs exclusively. I was lucky enough to have a conversation today with the owner of a large aussie bongsite & I asked him about better glass and him stocking it. He outlined some of the difficulties in getting this sort of stuff into the country. Most of the well known brands & larger websites who wholesale dont want to ship to australia period, full stop. I got the impression he might need to order it by the container load, which is a massive outlay in anyone language.

I'm heading to the States early next year to talk to some glass blowers like ssfg, sovereignty, sheldon black etc... to see whether we can work it out. I can call them but I think doing business in person is soo much more effective. I would like to set up a small stock online store by the end of this year and test the market. If I lose then it'll be a couple of grand but if I can sell then I might capture this market.

I might also talk to some log vape inventors here to see if they can work something out. I can definitely see the custom made vapes like PD, MZ or Woodeez being offered once people become educated about it - I'll definitely sell it at a competitive rate though - competitive to the international market and not the Australian (I think Australian rates are overly expensive - I'm sure there are overheads operating here but I'm sure there's avenues).

Roor and Ehle are old brands that haven't quite evolved. I'm looking to sell more cutting edge stuff - new toys like stemlines and micros. It's exciting but we'll see how we go; my intentions are purely to cater for Aussies - whatever they want I'll try to get but at the same time introduce them to this whole new world that not many Aussies have experienced.

I was talking to another long time smoker the other day and educating him on the industry and boy did his eyes open up. I love educating people! He was like, "can I come over this weekend?"

Good luck with that friedricey. There are a couple of things you might like to consider.

Your market for example- is it 40yr old blokes who want something a bit more healthy & classy?
is it glass only or vapebong centered?

I reckong vapebong packages would be the way to go.
aussies (in my experience) want big hits, in order to mimic smoking. but thats jmho. If you give them a package that you know will get a new user where he wants to be easily, with no fuss and big clouds.
the less likely that new user will want to continue to combust.

then there is the legality of the issue. legal from a federal POV, import all the bongs you like legally.
Just try selling them legally is a bit harder.

I reckon you are on the right track with some of the more sophisticated stuff as well.

I just reworked my vapour den and absolutely loving the he'll out of it lately! If only there were enough of us down under dwellers to hold a FC meet up sometime somewhere.

Start spreading the way of the future to everyone still hitting the springer tubes. Maybe a stand at madigrass sometime... Who knows, just a thought...

good luck with your venture, man. i'd buy the PD if you produce it .i'm from malaysia; yeah, scary laws they have here so i am a bit phobia sometimes. was studying in OZ for 3 years but didnt touch mj cause i was too innocent then, bummer. maybe i can make it for it if i can hook up with any of you cause i got a friend in sydney, planning to go visit him 'one day'.

It is only 14 inches tall. It look bigger as I didn't include the mouth piece. It is a very dainty elegant piece which makes it looks taller again.
I don't think I'll have trouble selling it and I'm not worried if I don't .. It needs a clean in that pic, on the weekend I will attempt to have the whole lot sparkling for a group photo

german sheperds & rottys are great dogs, and the 2 make a great cross breed as well. Rotty/ german shepard crosses are lovely dogs. (have met a couple)
My dog is a labrador/ rhodesian ridgeback got her from the rspca about 18mths ago & I would not swap her for anything in the world.
We are thinking of getting another soon, just keeping an eye out in the giveaway section of the paper.
I insist that we adopt a pet, there are far too many animals out there that need a good home without having to buy one.

Those of you that own a solo, what do you think of it??
I keep falling in & out of love with mine. the draw gives me the shits a bit.
I went back to my DBV for 24hrs last week & found that it didnt hit as hard as I remember (pre solo days).

Chasing clouds is what I want, big satisfying (possibly wasteful) clouds
So, I went back to the solo & experimented a bit. Then I was at my local tobacconist & picked up a domed screen.
Now this screen, being domed, fits really well in the solo, and actually makes the herb capacity smaller by about a 3rd.

So heres what I did.

let my herb dry out a fair bit, then do a really fine grind, (by holding my 4 piece grinder upside down while grinding.)

I crank up the solo to 7, load the packed stem & then wait 15-20secs for the herb to preheat.
There is a small tip of DBV hose on my stem to help it marry to my bong better.

I jam it in my billy & hit the shit out of it. OMG-This mutha fucker is now a cloud machine.
3 good pulls does the stem with big massive clouds, load another quickly & wait 15-20secs and away again.

I can get 3 stems in a cycle, but I have been doing 2.5. so, the 3rd stem just half packed, because it totally blows my head off. I get very medicated very quickly this way. (woo-hoo!)

I mention it here & not in the solo thread because I dont know if these screens are easily availble, I will however find out.
So to any cloud chasers out there, just try to dry your herb a fair bit, grind really fine & crank up the temp & WAIT 15-20secs. (very important)
Let me know what you think, I will try to find out a bit more on these domed screens & see how widely availble they are. Maybe i can hook some up for anyone who wants one.

But, for me, this method is getting me very, very close to the almost total imitation of smoking.
Very interested to hear what some of you others think.

Hey Guys another melbournian who has crawled out of the woodwork, have had a pretty interesting time getting into mj lately over the last few months after a really rocky start. A cheap mini gripper agung bong with some cheap synthetic kronic was all I started with, and has given my a serious aversion to glass that I will probably never be able to get rid of.

After some bad events nearly spewing my guts out, I decided to get serious. I have managed to get some quality product (after the hardest searching of my life), and have now entered the world of vaporizing. Starting with a launch box which was fine at first but just didnt deliver satisfiying enough hits, I managed to get a hold of an Extreme Q. I cannot tell you how much I love my Extreme Q, we have had many fun nights together. I am some what of a clean freak, and the only complaint about my EQ is that it takes forever to clean (and often).

Have an Arizer Solo on the way and absolutely cannot wait to give it a try, I'm going to try make a homemade version of the hardcase found on ebay if anyone is interested. Psyshaman if you have anything left let me know, would possibly be interesting in buying myself an early christmas present

you are gunna love your solo, once you get used to the restrictive draw. Make sure you get some UBER screens
from ozbongs.com.au they really make a huge difference just remember to cut them to size & put them in UPSIDE DOWN (check the solo thread for more info, but I am sure you have already-lol)

I hope you manage to work thru your glass issues. (mind over matter & all that)

cuz, glass & vapes go together like rum & coke.
