I've had the very best weekend since moving to Washington State last spring, but I'm coming down off of that high and back to the real world where everything hurts and everything is more of a pain in the ass than it should be. But yesterday . . . . anything I feel over the next few days because of yesterday will be worth it.
We just had such an amazing time in Seattle at the Lunar New Year Festival, riding the light rail train, visiting a chocolate factory, a "Trailer Park Mall" which consisted of about 20 old run down camping trailers converted into eclectic art galleries and funky consignment shops (Skyrim players: think modern day hipster Khajiit caravan), and I even stumbled into a greek yogurt factory where the purveyor invited me in and sent me off with a big tub of the most amazing yogurt I've ever eaten that I guess is sold at the Pike Place Market.
I really haven't been able to travel very far from home for several months, and most of the longer trips were for medical appointments, so to have a completely full day of big city exploration just made my whole year so far. So much that I even got a bit teary eyed talking to my wife about how much it meant to me to be able to go do things like that again.
So, well, it's off to bed, but not before packing the Firefly (to really give it one last test before sending it off to be repaired/inspected) and finishing off a nice cotton ball full of hash oil.
@Enchantre I heard about the Procession of the Species several times over the past week or two and we are DEFINITELY coming to Olympia for that! Heck, I might even have to make a costume! I'd like to be a big blue and black Stellary Jay! Maybe some sort of black and blue cape plus a paper mache mask? Love them! My favorite bird at my birdfeeders by far out here!
