I keep going back and forth between a fine and medium grind plate. Any beta testers give any input on their favorite grind for most vapes?
I'm not sure anyone here has tested the final design yet?
This is a premium option, and it's probably not a bad idea to wait a bit to better choose between the different plates, if you plan on ommitting any. The advantage of the three-in-one design allows for later purchasing, but it's still always a one at a time set up.
The use of two or three mid-plates interests me as I already use multiple vapes, so being able to set the grinder up for the sesh will be great.
My vapes aren't too fussy with grind style, so generally I'm happy to use whatever grinder for whatever vape I'm using. The BCG will give a bit more flexibility so I can discover what's best, and I'm keen to share what I find.
For one thing, I'm hoping the consistency is perfect across the plates, and that alone I assume will be more significant than the actual grind size, though surface area will make some difference (how much, I'm curious).
I do think the whole package is a bit rich, even though I'm yet to see the value of it in person. In terms of strict comparison, my current grinder, the SLX, is of the same grade of material yet quite a bit cheaper. And it's very, very good.
For 140 you get the BCG with a second plate, but that price could easily obtain two complete grinder set ups from big name brands.
I think it's something to consider, for GFL and for the consumer.
But, I expect that with the lack of threads and the overall design, the BCG is easily the best of the best, and I don't necessarily think they should shy away from a premium price.
I think the thing that will most seriously impact my perception of value will be the physical size.
Knowing that it's smaller than my last two grinders, I'm not sure what to expect ergonomically, and that will need to be exceptional to have the retail price reflect properly
I'm like the medium & coarse plates. I'm partial to a coarse grind for the vapcap.
That's interesting - I expect to be all about the fine plate for my M.
It does alright with a medium grind, but with the pixie dust from the MFLB finishing grinder, it's pretty awesome.
I mean, the VC's work well across the board. So it will be fun to see what happens with even more grinder choice
