Yep, of course there has to be a general discounted bundle price for all parts together.

And I think there also should be a general discounted introduction price the first weeks.

A - time limeted at least - FC discount in addition would be nice.

But where are the copper and bronze colors I'm waiting for so long?? :hmm:

A discount now would be a bit unfair for the first ones who bought it ;)

I'm not opposed to them throwing a fine grind plate with my med order.

Medium seems to be what I like and the option of a fine grind would be nice but 82$usd seemed like enough money to spend

I bought one and yes I'd be disappointed. But I would say that us "early adopters" are almost always the ones to get shafted. I want to say this comment always came up with apple products. But yes, in the end I agree with you!!

Just FYI @Grinders for Life , I noticed just now that I received 6 more order confirmations...
I got the same and checked my cc account to ensure I was only charged once!! So it's just a quirk on their end.

[snip]I do think the whole package is a bit rich, even though I'm yet to see the value of it in person. In terms of strict comparison, my current grinder, the SLX, is of the same grade of material yet quite a bit cheaper. And it's very, very good.[snip]
I agree with you and many other comments about it being expensive. For those of us coming from an amazon grinder (perhaps a rarity here on FC), the jump to premium pricing isn't so harsh. But if you have $100 or more already in grinders, then yea I see spending another $100 as hard to justify. Lastly I would say $60USD (authorized retailer) for the SLX vs $75USD for the BC isn't too much of a stretch considering china made vs canadian made. If you wanted to compare the entire package price to the single grind of the SLX (unfair comparison IMO), the way I'd think about it is mfg costs being that much cheaper in china! I bought two plates and after shipping it was $118USD. So yea, coming from a $25 amazon grinder I hope this purchase will be justified.

I'm not as experienced as all of y'all but just wanted to throw out some counterpoints.

it's not the same as buying a premium phone from Apple.
many here followed this small starting company and were almost a part of it's "release",
so (not that i now care about 10$ less) i would have still expected some 100 first early subscribers get some discount, not the other way around ;)

Nice first post @415vapor !
Welcome to FC.
Good catch!

And welcome @415vapor !

I got a grinder and two plates for the full set, it was $203 Can with shipping, or about $154 US, the only part that really jumped out at me was the shipping, slow mail (cheapest option) was $18US.

Maybe not for everyone, but still a small cost in the big picture of my yearly vaping costs. If it stays clean like my SLX and grinds like my Gr8tr, well worth the money to me !

You've got a good point for those of us with VAS!! Another good way to look at it - well made grinders will last a lifetime. Good comparison there - if BC ends up being the best of SLX and Gr8tr, we've got a winner. Prior to this purchase I researched BC, gr8tr v2, newvape fine, lift and the ripper.

Thx all for the welcome! It's funny how the BC finally caused me to sign up. The nomad and firewood threads for whatever reason didn't tempt me as much lol

I think you made a good decision regardless. Something bullet proof like this will last forever, so whatever the cost was, it's gonna be worth it for it's service (I assume, it certainly looks it).
Which is why so many jumped on board when the site was barely launched.

Given the nature of the product, it is a bit silly doing comparisons with the likes of China mass prod., but it's what's on offer, and I consider the SLX a staple choice.
But I definitely think the BCG is the better choice now that it exists.
And compared to the RRP of the SLX and the MFLB finishing grinder, there really is only a small difference and probably much better functionality.

There must be something about the gem shape, as I find the BCG at least to be much more desirable.
I've had a bunch of people grab SLXs around me, I wonder what they'll think of a fully pimped out BCG...

Current message on their site is not enchanting: "Disclaimer: Due to high demand and our limited manufacturing capacity, fulfillment of orders will currently take 3-4 weeks. Orders will be filled on a first come first served basis."

I don't know if it's funnier that they're seeing "high demand" or the fact they can't keep up with it.

That message has been up since the site came up. It's probably safe to relax, I'm guessing they have a nice stock pile of manufactured units, just waiting on orders, only to be sent off for anodizing in the needed colors.

They've been nothing but transparent with us, it's all good.

On the other hand, I bet they're up to something, you probably shouldn't order.

:dog: don't tell him/her, but if they don't order, maybe mine comes sooner !

Went ahead and placed an order for 2 Sapphire grinders, one fine, and one medium. I will be keeping the fine for myself, and giving the medium to my parents for a Christmas gift.

Might pick up a medium plate for myself in the future, once I see how theirs performs.

Excited to try it out, really hope its not any where near 3-4 weeks til it ships!

Love the looks of the sapphire color, really deep and rich.

I can't wait to stick clumps of sticky bud into this grinder.

What's up with the Canadian shipping rates? It's a flat $17 CAD minimum for every single item (grinder or plate), which is ludicrously expensive.

That's just what it costs up here, they actually might be subsidizing the price too. But I wouldn't call it ludicrous either, after conversion to USD it's about the same or a tad cheaper than mailing a First Class packet from the US to Canada.

I have a business account with Canada Post and know exactly what it costs to send things cross-country. $17 is fine, but $17 per item isn't. I should be able to order several grinders and plates for $17 shipping from BC.

Ah, I misunderstood your post and thought you were American. Sounds like it's just a bug, sent them an email to let them know.

Monsoon,

Grinders for Life

Grinder Manufacturer
I have recommended a new package option to them for a whole set of plates at a possible discounted price.
Site is still new and any feedback is recommended to help this get off the ground with all options.

What other options are there?

1 - Grinder with all plates FC discount?:brow:
2 - Grinder with one plate plus one extra at a discounted price.

Plates would remain $40 if bought individually but possibly less when bought in conjunction with the BC Grinder?

Any other thoughts for @Grinders for Life

NOTE: These are just my thoughts...I have said this in PM on IG already.
I like options and making a super cool, different color for each section grinder sounds neat!
We think this is a great idea. We'll add discounted bundles to the website soon. It might take some time though.

We'll refund the difference to everyone who bought a bundle after we add them to the site.

The anodizer said he hasn't done those colours in a while and that he didn't want to do them. I'll talk to him and see what I can do. I'll contact some other anodizers too.

This sounds like a glitch. I think we fixed it, but I'll talk to you through email to see if we did.

Any chance we'll ever see a four-piece version?

Or a larger diameter?

The four-piece is in the works. Ideally, this would be just an upgrade to the current 3-piece.

We see this as a medium sized grinder and we'll definitely be releasing a larger size eventually. Maybe something around 2.75" or 70mm. Is that the good size? It would be great to hear some feedback on that.

An economy version will also be available eventually. It won't be so pretty, but it will get the job done.

Yes, I think 2.75" would be a good size for a large version. Any smaller and it would be too code to the current model. Any larger and it starts to get too big for most people.

The large Santa Cruz Shredder is 2.75" I believe, and I really like that size of grinder. If both were available now, it's the size I'd pick up.
