I love the hype, but how much herb do you really grind that a new grinder will cause the heavens to open..
yep, I look forward to trying out a varied sized but consistent grinder. My SLX is very good, but it doesn't produce uniform texture. For me, it's not a matter of how much herb do I grind but rather what the grind is like when I do grind that small amount of herbs. It's the same thing as quality of bud. While I'm a micro-doser and only take 3 hits every other night, it doesn't mean that I don't want to vape the hightest quality of herbs that I can get my hands on.
Well I think I must have been sleep-typing when I pm'd you are politely requested that you posted my exact thoughts on this. Thank you for saving me a post when frankly, I never could have said it nearly so well myself.Gotta say, I'm really looking forward to this thing being released. I love the grind on my Kannastor Gr8tr v2 with the fine plate. But the more I use it, the more disappointed I get with it, as expensive as it was... Like I said, the grind itself is great but it gunks up incredibly quickly, especially around the threads. And actually getting everything through the grinding chamber can be a nightmare.
It looks like this thing may solve all of the complaints I have about the Kannastor.
These look amazing, lovely work. Thanks for all the feedback.
We're getting closer to the next beta test. After testing the latest version, we're happy with the performance. The next step is to make a small batch and get them anodized. It's been a lot of work to get it to this point, but it's been worth it.
Check it out:
A pile of prototypes that didn't make the cut. With every iteration, we learned something and made the grinder better. We extensively experimented and tested.
Here are some pictures of the latest version before being anodized:
The new fine grind plate.
The new medium grind plate.
The new coarse grind plate.
We are doing one more round of beta testing and we'll send it to more people. Maybe you'll be one of them.
I realize that @Grinders for Life has been very open about having FC members test his grinders, but let's please all remember that we have a rule:I would also be interested to be included in that next round of testers, if possible. Having had experience with the SLX and the Space Case grinders as my "go to", with the Mendo Mulcher and the S&B plastic orange being my other alternative, I'm still looking for the ideal grinder.
Different grinding plates are defo the way to go.

Not yet, at least one more beta run is going to happen, maybe more. The price will be around $75 with one plate but that could change. It's too early to accurately guess the release date unfortunately.Any news on pricing or availability for the BCG?
