IME the screen is not needed and makes more difficult to reload and stir on the go, but it you use it just at home and/or want to micro dose it's an interesting option. But the EQ basket works wonder for sure! I think it's a must and @Boundless Vape Technology could think about making something similar, maybe something even better!

@b0: when you say you would like to be able to extract more from your loads, are you doing temperature stepping during your sessions?
I'm asking because I find that I can get my ABV considerably darker than in my other convection vapes with the SwiftPro (not that ABV color is fully correlated to extraction level though) and when I do temperature steps and reach the higher end, the taste is pretty much spent and it feels to me there is not much left if anything at all.
Note that this is just an impression, I have never taken the ABV into another vape to test. I'm using the glass ring btw, if that matters. I also noticed that you could get a little more by performing a quick stir late in the session, but I usually don't bother to do it.
Now I would like to be able to use my SwiftPro for long sessions with many temperature steps (contrary to many of you guys who seem to be after the quickest extraction possible, where I would look into the Milaana or the Project instead) But when I do that I only get two bowls at most, and sometimes I can't even finish the second one.
This week I will try doing shorter sessions, starting at high temps and staying there. But this is a bit of a shame, as the low temperature taste on this vape is brilliant. Although when I compared it to the Zion last week, I might have gone a bit far. The Zion is really magical at preserving a good taste right until the end. With this one, there's a noticeable degradation at the end of the session.
Maybe it's just due to the temperature stepping I do, as I took the habit from my conduction vapes. With conduction if you start directly high temperature the taste is spoiled very quick and it gets all popcorny/roasted/ABV'ish you name it. But maybe with this one it's the way to go?

I actually just reloaded my CFX and CFV side by side and the ABV that came out of both were similar in tone, with the CFX's being slightly darker. I use ELBs with the CFX. I change my loads after I notice the flavor go away and the vapor becoming thin.
I do temperature stepping on both, starting with 370 on the CFX and 380 on CFV. Halfway through I raise them to 415 or so to finish the load. I dont often get to the highest temp unless i'm using them through glass. I find the vapor too warm directly at the mouthpiece.

I saw a mention on Reddit that PuffitUp will have the mini bubblers, a partial shipment, aroubd this Thursday. Not sure about the Stainless steel oven ring and the quartz mini-mouthpiece though.

In the end it seems like the ring is gonna be Aluminium. It's weird, I remember sometime ago Aluminium was not good, not sure exactly why but there was something wrong
Interested about the mini bubbler, but specially in quartz mp. The ring since using the EQ basket hasn't become so important anymore...
As I have said this vape has become my perfect company when walking around the city. Edinburgh, Princess st or Royal Mile are always packed full of people and I have tested it in both several times without anyone looking at me!! With the quartz MP is gonna be even better!
Edit: In fact I really think that if instead of the rings they tried to create something like an EQ basket but with a lid like an ELB and that was easy to put it and out, this vape will become much better (and with a interchangeable battery it would be damn perfect!)

Got my aluminum chamber ring and bub comming this week I think! I'm hoping the aluminum ring with @sickmanfraud and @KeroZen eq top hat mod will be that quick efficient extraction I'm looking for. Right now I use the stevenlmz tube with wpa to hydrate the vapor a bit and it looks rediculous. Hoping the micro bub is as good at conditioning the water so it's not so dry on my throat.

Hey all. I wanted to share the best mod for the CFV I've found so far.
I was using a basket screen in place of a ring mod for a while.
I found something I like even more. Using a wooden ring I inserted an RBT screen into the ring.
The screen is the same height as the ring.
Left picture is the bottom of the screen, right is the top.
Fits perfect. Pic of bottom.
Pic installed.
ABV after 5 draws on 395F and 5 draws on 420F
For some reason this works very well.
I enjoyed the basket screen in place of the ring because I felt there was more convection, but always felt the ring was there to sort funnel the air towards the chamber.
I assume that it does direct the air. I get more tasty draws with the RBT screen and use less material.
And cleaning.....just a quick blow in the screen.
I have run 30-35 chambers through it and the screen still looks new.
I still kept the stock fine screen in the bottom.
I don't normally vape past 392F (200C) but with this screen I had to bump up the temps a bit. Vapor was nice and smooth, great taste, and nice clouds.

This thing is awesome! The CFV now has a variable temp range for me. Before, I was always stuck at 446 or I'd get almost no vapor, but now, I can vape at around 350 and get huge clouds. I don't mind that it adds a little bit of conduction, that's what it's for!

Also received a aluminum ring and micro bub.
Aluminum ring does make the bowl larger and it gets hot af .. noticed lighter avb when used tho? I'm guessing since I didn't completely fill the bowl? Not sure but I deff prefer the eq mod in the chamber.
Micro bub. I'll admit it looks funny and not stealthy however since it's closed off I don't see vapor escaping at all unless your drawing from it. Deff a must have for the cfv if you wish to hydrate your vapor. Also I am able to use the micro bub on the cfx as well by unthreading the screen and throwing the eq screen on instead. Works great.

Hey all!
I moded my CFV to have much better airflow.
First the restrictive mouth piece.
This was simple.
If you shine a flashlight into the MP and look through the part where it connects to the unit (tried to get a pic, wouldn't focus) the hole is choked down very narrow before it reaches the MP for some reason. I used a 5/32" dill bit and slowly twisted it with my hands (being careful not to poke out of the top) until I opened the hole up.
This was a noticeable difference.
Then I drilled out the screen inside the mouth piece.
Put a domed reclaim screen in there.
Now for the intake. I had already enlarged the 5 bottom holes for more air flow but I wasn't satisfied.
I took the bottom off, drilled out the 5 holes, used a razor blade to cut the lip off, and put a tiny super fine screen in its place.
While it was apart I fixed the silicone intake seal that was not sealing and blocking air flow. Also notice all of the shake stuck to the tape. How'd it get there?
I replaced the plastic 5 hole intake with this screen.
I finally took the protective film off the bottom and put it back on.
Looks awesome and works great!
Fixing the seal and doing these mods made this thing a beast! Super nice airflow in and out.
Maybe I'll eventually unlock the CFV to its full potential!

More air flow ok, but what about vapor density? Most of these similar mods for other vapes do indeed increase air flow but they make the vapor wispier... It was already the case with the FM5 range where for some reason everyone wanted to enlarge and drill everything.
But those vapes have the restriction built-in because the engineers found that it maximized the heater performance, not just because they like it tight...

Yes, I understand @KeroZen The mod I did to the mouth piece makes it flow like a SP or crafty/mighty MP.
The air intake is amazing now, less draw restriction and the clouds are nice and dense. Also the finer mesh keeps small particle from entering the bottom intake
You know I wouldn't do a mod that wouldn't help performance!
I did the mods 1 at a time and made sure they were beneficial before proceeding to the next!
