Boundless, is there anyone reading this?
I don't want to live chat with you every week. I already know how to use it, I just want to use it to my best ability.
In November you said the "Filling Funnel" would be available soon. Feb 1st you said you would send me one, (which I am more than willing to pay for).
What happened? Doc

My apologies for that, through the trade shows and travel my request to have a loading cap sent to you was lost in the mix. Please feel free to send me an email to Eric@bndlstech.com and we can work this out today.

We have been struggling with our merchant account and are working on redesigning our website to take retail orders. The redesign will have all our accessories available for purchase and will feature a rotating deal of the day featuring bundle deals and percentage off products. Please feel free to email me with any questions and thanks for all the support.

What ever happened to the "FILLING FUNNEL" for the CF and CFX. I use the ELB mod, but once and awhile I have friends over. That being said, filling the whole oven is the best way to pass these vapes at a gathering.
I'm tired of cleaning out the groove everytime I fill it.
I was told it would be available in Nov. I have found out how to get the scale off the sides of the oven, so.
Here I sit with a broken heart, Waiting for a Boundless part. Doc

I only have 2 small criticisms with the CFX (which is my favorite vape of all time!):

1) Needs a screw/snap-in "FILLING FUNNEL"**
2) They should offer a 13.8mm screen for the screen mod

**Apparently there IS a "loading cap" for the Boundless CFV, but not available in the USA. :(

P.S. Would this work in the CFX?

HI I Have a CF and Lost the oil device to use. Is there any generic one I can use?

I've had my cfx for about a year now and finally used it. Really liking the elb technique, it performs like a champ even if the electronics are a bit funky. I may want to get that metal thing out of the mouthpiece at some point, and start using a top screen or elb cap. I hope I don't screw it up and the airflow improves.

Friends, I can't say enough good things about the CFX with the ELB mod and the steel screen replacement. I followed some of the instructions here and I'm loving the flavor and efficiency improvements!

I haven't had much luck finding out whether it's a bad idea to keep engaging the oven as soon as it hits the 5 min mark and shuts down, what do you guys think? Is the CFX designed to sustain, say, its max 430F temp for more than 5 min at a time?

Thanks for posting that link @zor

One of the weird electronic things is I can't shut my cfx off after I get it going. One bowl is usually good, and holding the power button for 5 seconds like the manual says seems to time it out or something but not shut if off. So what I do is turn the temperature to it's lowest setting and let it time out. I will say that I like my cfx much better than my old crafty, I'm really glad I got one of these instead of getting that pos fixed.

Ha! I was a little concerned that my message would rub you the wrong way, as the answer was so obvious to me. Seems like you proved once again that it's never a bad thing to simply ask! :p

Glad I was able to help.

Well that would certainly explain things
I could swear the little booklet said 5 quick presses on, one long press off :spidey:
But I might have misread it :hmm:
hehehehe...that shits been happening to me on a regular basis since I retired. Brain turning to mush.

I sympathize, my friend.....but I'm also laughing out loud! haha

Okay with that I had to go and get the little booklet that came with my cfx.

Pg. 6, under "How to Use (continued), ACTIVATE:
  • Rapidly press power button five times within 2 seconds to power on cfx. The display will be opened with light.
  • Note: while the device on working, it features that can press and hold the power button 2 seconds to stop working. Then repeat this step to resume vaping."
See? Simple as day, word for word and all punctuation/grammar is theirs. "Stop working" = standby!

There's no mention of turning the cfx off anywhere that I can find, but under "Safety Features" on pg. 12 it does describe the "SLEEP PROTECTION" mode:
  • "When this device is powered on and after vaping, it will go into sleep mode to avoid overuse. Press and hold the power button for three seconds to resume vaping."
Thanks again for the tip, it wasn't in the book even if I should've been able to figure it out on my own.

:freak:

How many of you guys start another 5 minute session after the CFX begins cooling down (I.e. after the first 5 mins of usage)? I'm still not clear as to whether it's ok to engage the oven continuously like that or not...

Continuous sessions will actually give you more battery life as it doesn't have to heat up from cold. It shouldn't cause any problems.

I usually take my time and enjoy the vapor so my sessions last about 20 minutes. The CFX handles four sessions in a row very well. No overheating...no problem.

When I first got my CFX I hadn't got the ELBs yet so I vaped just using the oven. The inside of the oven got black and scaled up. I tried iso, scrubbing pads (Mr Clean Eraser), Smoke Soap, whatever I could.
I can not be responsible for the following, cause I can't control how you do it.
Run the temp up to at least 400f. A qtip DAMP, I repeat DAMP with distilled water, and steam the scale off. Make sure you don't get water in the bottom. Use distilled water. It doesn't have chlorine or minerals to be left in the bowl. If you do this on it's side, the scale will fall off. Just be careful and only dampen the qtip. Doc
I repeat DAMP, and as the water drys out re-dampen and squeeze out the tip repeat.

I just tried this and it works really well! I had pretty given up on getting my CFX oven clean after trying iso and scraping. This technique was so quick and easy. Thanks for the tip!

When your cfx was working, did you find it comparable to your mighty?

It was good and had 1 advantage and that was heat up time. Taste was totally different. I would say the CFX would get you ripped, cheaper but taste, efficiency is the Mighty hands down.

The money shot price wise has been my Alternate I won. 2 weeks in and for the price, get it.
Batteries last 3 (3 minute) sessions but replaceable and efficient. Damn bowl not a spot after a week of use, Nice SS. Takes a while to heat, small bowl but for myself, i like that cause i usually have 4 plus strains inline... :)

Edited for this add:

Mighty took 1 week to fix email to returned fron Oakland even. Still trying to get the CFX repaired with 2 replies in 6 months but some was me due to family, I gave up after the first 8 weeks trying both here and the website. I bought directly thru them and was my mistake not to use puffitup.
Same problem the button and 1 was fixed and used and 1 can be used but by druggiver.

The other 'bug' with my cfx is when I turn it on, the screen just lights up for a second then goes dark as it shuts back off. Then I turn it on again and it always stays lit/on. I think when it was new it turned on the first time, but every time after that it's taken two activations. Is this a 'normal' safety feature?

Or is it just me :mental:

It is not you. My unit does the same thing. Not sure if it is a feature or bug.

Must be a bug. Never happened on my cfx. Get it replaced.

@waxdab23 my cfx works perfect, and as I said this is completely predictable.

Why fix something that isn't broken? I do find it interesting that yours is different than mine and @DeeCee5's. Maybe ours is an earlier model than yours and the 'bug' is fixed now? I just saw they changed the stock intake screen on the mouthpiece to something more conventional and with more airflow than the one mine came with. Mine's over a year old even if I just removed the shrink wrap a couple of weeks ago.

My cfx may even be running hot, it's a party bowl beast that never seems to run out of power

With the full elb/two-screen setup my avb is still very dark at 410f. I started out at 430 and will be going to 405 next. The extraction is thorough, this one's a keeper for now and anyways it's still got warranty.

In fact the only pause I see with this vape is people are complaining about customer/warranty service and communication issues? That's a bummer to read about, I hope it's being overblown or they fix it.

I ordered a cfx from piu for this 4/20 sale. Going to have to go through this thread to learn how to properly use it. I'm seeing a lot of people are Modding their device. Kind of sad that out of the box doesn't offer optimal use. Is that right?

Cloud Evo ELB's work really well in the CFX. Really keeps the oven clean. Very low maintenance.
