While I'm currently loving the Tempest, and it's certainly in the running here, I'm going to give the nod to the Rogue Wax Works QC 14. Nothing tastes cleaner than pure glass, and with the right heating it's almost all convection. In fact, I think you could go with most anything from @RogueGuy for peak flavor.

Out of the vaporizers I've tried, I haven't found anything that beats either the ELEV8R (coiled or torch) or the Herborizer Ti, although a ball-modded DBV came close.

If I had a coiled ELEV8R setup it would probably be my pick over the Herbo, since it has a 99% quartz airpath, but alas I only have the torch setup and my mate broke his coiled one by being a clumsy sod . He did give me the coil for it though - other than the ELEV8R (and the ZX?) I don't know of any 16mm coil ball-vapes:\.

Having said all this, ball-vapes don't necessarily equate to tastier vaping. My mate's B0 always has me saying "where's my terps, man:huh:?!" since I tend to get a much more muted, slightly twangy vapour signature from his B0 compared to my Herborizer. Maybe it's got something to do with a slightly more drawn out extraction versus the damn-near flash-boiling of terps.

ZX, Neo, Couch Log, Vapman, Woodscents, Lotus, Musa, FW9, BAKx, and even the DBV are really nice, at least for the first hit.

I find that to bring out the taste, it almost requires slow and low heating which sort of naturally leads to longer sessions.
Not only bring it out but in many cases extend it beyond what seems likely. When I get the Musa at the right temp the flavor just lasts and lasts.

Nice list. I've cranked down my DBV just a hair lower and now I can get at least 2-3 nice flavorful hits before it fades. It's such a beast that it's hard to tame. Took me a while to find that sweet spot between flavor and the effort behind the number of pulls it takes to finish a bowl.

Halogens are just next level when it comes to preserving flavor. I was so impressed with my first halogen desktop (@Vaporooni's build) that it inspired me to pull the trigger on an Angus Enhanced to enjoy a halogen in a more portable format. Can't wait.

I'm so ingrained towards using it through water, I really need to go direct more often. It's already heated up, maybe I'll get out the wand... ; )

Hey, it's all good! But kudos to you for mixing it up. Never pulled the trigger on the full glass path with dimples from elev8 because I've got this lovely piece from GVB now. 🤩

Cheers to the halogen! Just had a session as you described. The flavor had no business lasting that long. It was tasty until the very last puff.

Well damn. Surprised. I was nervous to click none of the above, but that's genuinely how I felt. IMO TEDs have the best flavor profile. Minimal vapor path and easiest to break down and clean perfectly.

Dani Fusion 2 by miles also gets me the highest with the least amount of weed. Cant even believe it myself that it turns out this is best with all the other high end vapes I have.
Couldn't agree more with this statement. Love my Fusions. They even shelved my rosin press 🤣🤣 I'd rather vape quality flower through a fusion than take dabs

Dani Fusion at number one - does really well with citrusy and piney strains in particular. As others have said it’ll also hit hard with small amounts. Nice to have small, quick bowls and not need to commit to dragging it out at low temp to get good flavour

Solo 3 low temp at number two - tasty as heck and holds onto it for a good time, also powerful enough that you can turn the temp up and quickly clear the bowl once flavour goes. Strong conduction roasty taste at high temp but I like it.

Vapman at number three - I’ve had some great flavour out of this thanks to the short vapour path and gentle heating style it likes, and it’s especially flavoursome with hash. Weakest hitter of the three IMO, and also takes me the longest of the 3 to finish a bowl. Those aren’t what it’s designed for though, which is why I eventually moved on but still have heaps of love and respect for this little wooden wonder.

I do have vapes that deliver a flavor *smack* in a single hit but that's a different thing than most folks mean with a tasty vape.

That terp smack you describe is the only one I consider to be a true flavor hit with dry herb vaping.

For example, if I’m tasting a citrus orange, I want the sweet, the sour, and the brightness all homogenized in the same delivery.

Personally I can’t stand weak vapes which fractionate the flavors out partially over multiple hits.
