Thus far, I'd say the Tiny Might 2 Purple Heart turned to zero is very tasty and very easy.

The Lotus is also a standout.

I have a Phase 3 ZX on order and based on the fine reputation that I'm hoping will take the top slot.

My taste is for low temp terpy hits that deliver a lot of flavor.

The Flower Kettle and Electropath for sho!
While the Kettle and Electropath combo is my favorite ballvape combo (followed closely by TKO), I don't find it quite at the pinnacle of flavor (at least where I have it dialed in). But certainly no slouch, and similarity to Herborizer design is prob helping it out there. But in general, I find all ball vapes I've tried to be about the same for flavor (and still distincy different from other designs in terms of effects, especially the Kettle/Electropath combo). I haven't tried Phase 3, but do have the CC Zirconia Zeal (which I am about revisit side by side with TKO on my dry Laceface Terplock). I expect those to be similar and personally prefer the diffuser style of Zeal to the injector style used by Phase 3 (last I checked their lineup).

But I still find it much superior to some other vapes mentioned here. Especially the Firewoods. Just broke both of mine back out, and while a lovely artisan design, flavor from those heaters and airpaths fall well behind all the halogen vapes I've tried. Just not a heater/chamber material that is very conducive to flavor IME. Overall, I have much less of a niche/use case for them in my collection. Pretty wood, but just sort of a fine all-arounder.

If you are hunting portable flavor and the session style of a Angus Enhanced isn't your thing (or you are worried about "counterfeit" CE logos 🤣🤣🤣), the Bowle is tops for an on demand portable in my book. Tho I haven't tried the TM2 due to concern about internal glass breaking due to drops, and I know it is a forum favorite. I'm setting aside stem vapes like Tempest, Anvil, Dynavap here because a lot there is dependent on how well you keep those clean, relevant to other designs. Of butane vapes in general, I do think the Vapman remains king, tho Sticky Brick-style options can be excellent. Just gotta get your technique down on those SBs and similar butane torch heat intake tube designs, which can affect things pretty drastically IME.

For non-halogen, non-Herborizer desktops, I gotta say logs are way too slept on by folks chasing the greatest new thing. Whether E-Nano XL, Underdogs or Couchlog, they rarely fail to impress on both flavor and ease of use (especially using Underdog metal stems as a straw, which works better than wider diameter stems for me). My first reaction after getting my first log was "what took me so long?"

Hey brother throw weed in the glass bowl, then, use the flower kettle head for an even tastier hit!

One of the many unique design features of PHASE3 injectors is how they are built to replicate the function of diffusers by using an identical internal diameter from the heater all the way through the entirety of the bowl. So while they may share the familiar appearance of a typical injector, in function it's essentially equivalent to a diffuser design regarding the evenly distributed hot air.

Where they truly differ is that traditional diffuser designs promote more conduction transfer by placing the vaporizable material much closer to the heat source. PHASE3 injectors are optimized and biased for 100% ultra pure convection and to specifically minimize conduction transfer to the botanical material as much as possible.

While PHASE3 does have hybrid and 100% conduction designs in development, for ground cannabis and with a goal of maximizing flavor, I strongly prefer (personally) pure convection hot air extraction - in as nonmetallic of a vaporizer composition as possible.

This additional distance of the injector shape has the added benefit of positioning the heat source further from the load, which eliminates any significant surface level infrared radiation, the main contributor to early and excessive browning solely on the top of the load, which is frequently observable in photos and videos of various traditional diffuser vapes being used on social media.

This effect is much more pronounced with metallic vapes such as titanium and stainless steel, as metals reflect infrared radiation,
whereas PHASE3 vaporizers are (inversely) made of pure inert materials designed to absorb IR.

I mostly prefer pure convection but some strains taste better to me in the Vapman.

To make it even more complicated, I’ve found that with some strains I really enjoy the taste/aroma of the resin found in the trichome heads, but not so much the ground vegetative/plant material itself. In these cases I prefer not to grind, which for me means it’s either going in the ZX or the Solo3

Best tasting, at the moment, a Phase3 ZX. Clean, efficient and there is no shortage of information available online, or on this forum.

ZX for desktop, Bowle or Lotus (depending on my inclination for manual control at that moment) for portable-ish.

Thank you for your detailed explanation! You've definitely got my attention now.

Oddly when I sat down to compare flavors across ball designs, TKO was the smoothest and most flavorful, followed VERY closely by Kettle (both into glass TKO bowl.

I was surprised that the zirconia Zeal was the harshest of the 3. But I've also put in the least time with it, so I may not have it well dialed in (and obviously the Phase3 is a different design!)

The taste of my Arizer Air Max is better than my Pinch Hitter. But the latter really delivers a whallop.

I'm beginning to think that metal, especially titanium, produces micro-particles that DO get into my body and produce weird effects.

I appreciate all that but you have stainless steel as the last thing the heated air touches before the weed. The kettle, ss, has 11g of zirc and glass then it splits the air sideways into a glass bowl (when path isnt used) before it touches the weed. By your admission glass is more pure. I like the zx bro. It's all love. I just wanna differentiate the kettle from the other metal cylinder filled vapes that you're talking about. How much does the zx weigh naked anyway?

Is it possible that you could be slightly allergic? Some folks are sensitive to Ti in the vaping process.

It is a little annoying seeing him parade around as if his vape doesn't have 3 stainless screens and is the least metallic vape in existence. It's an absolutely amazing vape, and one of my favorites for flavor, but it would be a much better look for Phase3 if it were represented more honestly IMO. If I cared about metal not being in my vape, I would not have bought a ZX, because there's metal in it.

Whoa! It hadn't occurred to me, put there may be something to this. Thank you.
Absolutely!
If you do isolate it to this you can still find many great vapes, especially in that realm. Cloud Connoisseur Omega is SS, there's an SS Thermal Twist, , the ZX is Ceramic and there may be a new quartz head from them coming. It should be possible to replace it without much difference in price, there should be plenty of options. Best of luck in any case!

I put a whip on the glass stem of my Arizer Air Max and ran a load of green at 420. Such a whip is how I use my Princh Hitter, but that'd employ a water piece. Both now also use a carbon filter. For the price of admission, the Arizers are hard to beat.

Some great deals out there on Argo and Solo2
