The smoke goes down the stem and around and up, then gets mixed with more water/bubbles that come up from the bottom of the stem where the glass ball check valve is. The ball system at the bottom helps recycle the water around and keep it from going up into the mouthpiece. The vapor goes through about 6 inches of water inside the tube while also being cooled/diffused by the recycling system in the stem. Gives a really smooth hit and lots of flavor with the small overall chamber volume while having so much water.

The Bates x Worm diffusion pump, I believe, represents the next step forward in glass design - physics based principles used to make vapor more comfortable to inhale as opposed to finding new ways to cram tiny holes into the glass.Percolation has its place, but not for high-end oils, and this piece eschews them for a tube that forces the vapor to diffuse with water as it travels through, cooling the hit without robbing it of flavor.
It is also designed to leave very little space for claim to stick as the water level goes up to the mouthpiece joint, making it even more efficient.This results in hits with full flavor that are surprisingly smooth and really effective.It is also properly designed, with no spashback to the mouth despite the high water level, even with hard clears

Yea I'll probably get around to trying the cloud on this little beast maybe tonight! I have some adapters that will make it work. It's a really nice little piece.

Steve Bates is one of the true innovators of the glass community with his glass butane torches and Hitman Torch Tubes. Worm has brought many new options into the concentrate world with his all-quartz puddle domes/swings.
The diffusion pump functions similar to a recycler with the main difference being the recycling action happens completely inside the custom built stem inside the hollow bubbler base. It uses a glass ball check valve system inside the stem to pull the water back inside the chamber to keep water from splashing up the mouthpiece even when being pulled on as hard as one can. This new innovation brings great flavor in a small overall package, with a clean scientific bubbler-style look and mouthpiece. The combination fo size, chamber and mouthpiece design make it great for handheld or table use. Comes stock with a 14mm quartz nail and a very unique diagonally cut clear dome with an upward curved solid horn. The clear dome is made to resemble the diagonal cut of the diffusion pump stem inside the chamber which makes for a beautiful clean matching look."

I hit the cloud on this little bad boy today and it was an awesome flavorful experience. Just need a 90 degree adapter and you are all good.

I like the idea of high water level/no splash, it's kinda the exact opposite idea to most pieces I look at (low water, high diffusion), but it looks like it gets the job done very well

i haven't hit an SG recycler so unfortunately I can't give a comparison.
they have them on aqua lab right now. lowest i've seen one retail is 400. worked ones for 600 retail but on boromarket might be able to scoop one for 500ish

So I have sold one of my DG's (the can) and have received a clear pump this morning!
I must say I love it: so efficient (very little dabs=big effect) , flavorful and coughless + a very handy & ergonomic shape (fits perfectly in the hand) + the movement of the diffusion marble and the dome design puts this new bad boy on my daily podium!!!

As I'm in the process of finding a new bub/tube, a thought occurred to me.
Couldn't the bates pump perc be added to a bigger sized bubbler? More around the size of the PV FC bub.
If they made a more medium sized bubbler... with a female connection instead of male... would that not be the perfect vaporizer hook-up piece? Need to get someone to contact them somehow

Yea i've heard he has a bunch of ideas for new designs like double pumps and stuff but that's a great idea SD!
Maybe we can get in contact on facebook or something...I actually know someone who is an old childhood friend of Bates maybe I next time I talk to him I can try to pass the word along.
