I talked to a guy who owns the SG recycler. I asked him if he was familiar with the BatesxWorm pump. His eyes lit up! He said he has hit both the SG and the BatesXWorm Pump. He also said he prefers the pump because water levels in his recycler needs to be perfect. Time to start saving my dollars. I want one of these.

Yea thats the thing about the Diffusion pump water levels. unless you literally have it higher than the end of the diagonal cut of the upstem (and the water would be halfway up the mouthpiece lol) then you don't get any splashback at all and it still functions great. I literally have to hit it as hard as possible with a higher than normal water level to get any splashback, the design works great!

Hi - so if I wanted to use this with the Cloud, could I take the 18mm Female/Female adapter I use on my Mobius 65b Stereo Matrix Bubbler, drop it on top of the Bates Worm, and be off to the races, or is that female looking joint for dabs nonremovable? I'm presuming that if you remove it, it would expose an 18mm male joint but I wanted to be sure?

Needless to say, it looks awesome. More videos! ;)

I will respectfully answer this for MW. For the mini BatesxWorm, which is what I believe this one is,,,you would need a 14mm/18mm female.

Thank you but actually, I was looking at the diffusion pump bubbler. I didn't catch until now that one was a mini; I just thought the difference in cost was attributable to the fact that one was worked and the other was clear. Now I see that the diffusion is about an inch larger than the mini which begs the question...what might the difference be in terms of experience with either? I would just presume get the larger which would bring the Cloud a bit further out of my face, avoid having to buy another adapter when I already have an ALT 18F/18F, and getting it worked as they seem to have done a really nice job with it.

Still, I'm quite curious what the differences (pros/cons) of the different sizes might be otherwise as it relates to vapor and not dabs as I'm really just a flower guy.

I think with vapor you wouldn't really be able to tell the difference between the sizes if they had the same joint, i don't think the chamber is THAT much bigger, but it is bigger. so the 18mm joint will be fine for the cloud and the bigger chamber may even be better? more air flow and room to fill with vapor at least... I wish I had an 18mm diffy pump to try to tell you the difference!

I think its better than most other recycler type pieces and especially small rigs because it goes through all of the water in the tube and travels pretty far actually for such a small piece.

I have done it with my could, my UD, my SSV, my Inhalater & my solo and flavors are there with flowers too, no doubts!

I wouldn't go flowers in that. I think you would build up nasty shit in hard to reach places, unless you cleaned constantly. Of course, I should talk, with the lattice perc I just got.

Nop, and that's why I stated : easiness to clean. As the bubbles only pop in the remaining few mm. at the top of the bud, errl & flower claim only builds up at the beginning of the mouthpiece, meaning a simple tab hot water little pressure (water coming in from the nail joint & coming out from the mouthpiece like a geiser!) and it is clean as new in 2mn. I'll tell you this thing cops with anything!!!

Niiiice. Of course, as much glass as you go thru (move/trade/sell) and have, you're probably pretty OCD about clean glass, huh? Good OCD.

This will be my NEXT piece. For flowers. In spite of what someone who doesn't even own this thinks. :rockon: I clean my glass after evry use. Nothing but the best for the best.

It's $400 on ALT. It's $449 on High Priority. IDK what that would come out to?

I'm curious if the ALT and High Priority Bates Pumps are the same? They probably are but the ALT says "Mini", the HP doesn't also the HP measurements seem to be a little taller than the ALT (7.5" vs 8"). I know the worked ones are a little taller and are 18mm. I've also seen videos of Diffusion Pumps with two internal pumps but haven't seen those for sale anywhere.

Apparently there is an 18mm and a 14mm pump, and the one clearly labeled as mini is 14mm.
(the worked ones are listed @ 18mm)

Since the HPG pump is also 14mm, even though it doesnt say mini I'm pretty sure it is.

The clear are the Mini. Period. I talked to ALT today to confirm. After purchasing my Ion from ALT, unless the savings is alot, I will buy from them. I was very impressed with their shipping! Wrapped in bubble and put in a box of peanuts which was then wrapped in 1" foam and put in another box. Peace of mind means ALOT to me.
