It's much much healthier.it takes about ten minutes after You ve vaped to feel the effects.You are in early.vaporizing is in its infancy right now but watch out..
vaping is a healthy way to consume natures medicine cabinet.dont forget to try nice herbs like mint and lavender too in you're da Buddha and research temps and effects.

Scissors will work fine,Some here are purists and insist that grinding tears up trichomes in medicine.when You get some spare cash pop over to the grinders thread and check out what people are using.i started with a Cali crusher and now use a Santa Cruz shredder.i have a medium.i think the small 4 piece shredder is what I would buy if I had to buy again.my favourite grinder ATM is the free wooden grinder that came included in the daisy vaporizer pack.i love it.

Now the question is do you wanna get into glass. Apologies I didn't respond sooner as I was in the middle of a dab fest with another Aussie FCer at the time.

This was a herbtasting if ever there was one. There was a reasonable diversity of strains/concentrates:

Dabs:
Mango Dream BHO Shatter
THC Bomb nug run QWISO Shatter
THC Bomb bubble hash
THC Bomb bubble hash extracted winterized LWET absolute shatter
G13 Haze winterized BHO sap

Flowers:
THC Bomb
Northern Lights
G13 Haze
Some sour earthy and slightly cheesey tasting unknown strain

We Aussies need more access to good strains! Also, if you haven't tried concentrates, you have got to sometime!

Warren: You might wanna consider glass now, depending if you came from a bong or joint smoking background. I ironically enough found that I prefer bongs for vaping! I was a heavy joint smoker before hand and hated bongs! Also if you wanna get bong, check out the related threads around here and for the love of baby jesus avoid terrible aussie bongs with rubber grommets and brass/aluminium in the downstem/conepiece. All glass is the safest bet and by far the tastiest

Oh you have no idea how much that post excites me herbivore... The strains and greenhouse work in general are so so interesting, I got just as much out of that as anything else. I'm a bit older, and I made a decision to dissociate myself from all contacts a few years back so it's going to be a case of getting my hands on whatever I can, in no way am I expecting the sort of quality I used to demand. I have no contacts for this sort of thing any more. I wish we had the medical set up here like in the states.

Haven't tried concentrates, not really sure what they are but a while back I did a lot of experimenting with waste leaf, even just a bucket of icy water and a paint mixer on a drill gets amazing results if you've got the screens to sift it.

Concentrates include hashes like you describe, kief (dry sift) as well as the new generation of oils.

Oils can come in various forms, a stable liquid (runny oil), a waxy consistency (wax) and brittle and hard almost like glass (called 'shatter'). There are other forms such as crumble or honeycomb.

Here is a big crazy shaped chunk of shatter:

A completely different kind of effect to flowers and a must try for anyone getting into vaping! Google BHO/Dabs for more information

I know it's going to be an impulse buy for me if it happens....an expensive one but worthy if vapor quality is there.

Thank you. The butane extraction method was around when I did my experimenting but I decided not to go down that path due to the risks, but you never know. I mean it's been five years since I've been stoned and until this week I never thought I would be again. A week ago I decided I'd had enough of endone or morphine, had enough of trying to drink, knew nothing about vapes other than what I'd heard of e-cigs and look at me now. I reckon at this stage pretty much anything is possible.

Hi guys, I'm an avid user of vapes from NSW. I own a firewood, an ascent and used to have a pinnacle and a PAX. (I'd have more but I'm not rich... ha.)

I mostly only lurk, but this is the second time I've posted to give some credit where due to Namaste Vapes.

These guys stand behind their product line, and worked really hard to keep me happy as a customer when I had a battery fault in my vaporizer.

I'm suspicious by nature, and pretty fussy about details. I've never had a vape from them or any other source so far (touch wood) that showed any signs of being a knock-off or fake.

I can't speak for anyone else's experience but I'm really dubious about the rumors in connection with Namaste, why would they cut their own throats by selling fakes?

Some of you naming strains in AUS makes me kinda jelly, never came across anyone in Brisbane who actually knew what strain they were selling

+1 to needing to try concentrates, they really are a whole different game. only concentrates i get access to is whatever i make myself, been doing BHO run's as of late, i find the result better than ISO.

This is indeed very true.

I've actually been doing my part for the community lately, building up a custom digital vape for a friend, only $60 in parts too, i'll have to post a photo once the rest of the parts arrive and i enclose it. As much as i can personally justify the cost of retail unit's, the entry point on digital unit's is a bit high for most people i try and convert from bottle & hose billy's. Even if i ask a bit of profit for my time it still ends up around the same price for them as a MFLB would cost locally, and after my experiences with the MFLB, while it's nice, it's not the same one pack - 2 pull and done experience of my unit's which is really what i find people seem to look for.

haha, literally just got back from seeing my 'guy' i'll post some info after dinner

EDIT: avoiding double post.

The vape i'm building him is different from the one on my desk, so i won't bother with pics (might post some once parts arrive and i finish his).

main parts:
rex c-100 PID controller (240v) - $12.95
220V 150W 16mm x 50mm Stainless Steel Cartridge Heater - $8.19
arizer extreme Q elbow adaptor - $11.25
arizer extreme Q tough bowl - $22.50

misc parts:
power cable
enclosure
whip tubing (i buy mine in bulk)

the design is simple enough i feel i can just explain it. Heater cartridge goes into the bottom half of the tough bowl and get's wired to power through the output relay of the Rex C-100. A thermocouple gets inserted between the bowl and heater cartridge and i set a few parameters on the controller to get a more stable temp response and that's it.

output temp is usually about 5 degrees C lower than the heater temp and overall temp stability is around +- 5-10 deg.C

i tend to run mine around 300 C if i only intend to take 1 or 2 pulls, this i find is the quickest way to spend all the trichromes. If i want a more chilled out session with more pulls per pack i just lower the temperature.

anyway, that's probably as much info as we need here

Last time I visited Melb I got some outdoor 'Jesus' strain that a friend brought down from Nimbin. It was excellent stuff, full of resin and no seeds. Distinct kushy/lemon flavour. I suspect it was grown in an outdoor greenhouse as it was far better than any true bushweed I've had. Heres a video:

Have been vaping since 2009-ish. In my collection: Herbalaire 2.1 & 2.2, Da Buddha, MFLB x2, PA 2.0, Herborizer XL Sphere, Wychwood, Puffit X, Vaporgenie. Although here in Kenya I've only got the Herbalaire 2.2 and a couple of portables with me.

If/when I do visit Australia again, I'd be interested to meet some other FC'ers

I've been going through old threads last few days and seen lots of your photos Bleak, good stuff, and the videos too. Just like taking billions of selfies and nudes, this was stuff you couldn't really do all that easily before digital cameras. Now we have vapes too, I wonder what's coming, especially with the medical side opening up now across the US.

I am a grower, aspiring breeder, concentrates connoiseur, activist, tree hugger, flower picker, cannabis photographer, wood turner, parent, martial artist, metal head, petrol head and online gamer amongst other things.
I am waiting on our first vape to arrive, (Tuesday, fingers crossed) so we can finally put the glass away for good.
Lots of good reports from here so I joined up mostly to get info on the EQ and any mods or custom glass for it.

Hey Slayer welcome along. I wouldnt say Hell Awaits or anything but you'll have a blast here.
