That isn't going to happen. People who ordered first, and were not necessarily on the pre-registration, still had their money taken from them. Who cares if you were first to pre-register? They only care about the money and for that reason, they're not just going to give you an Ascent. The shipments are going to go to the people who paid for them first. The pre-registration doesn't mean nada now.

I don't really give a rats ass if it does or not, because I am not on this crazy pre-order train. And we all kinda get the hint pre-registrations means "nada" however, it's a shitty thing to do to your customers. You will understand that one day, when it happens to you.

All I care about is members who have been waiting loyally, kinda getting a kick in the ass.

Edit: And where did I say anything about a free Ascent? Red herring much?

Gotta' say ... when the pre-registration first came up ... seems to me it was advertised as an opportunity to pre-register to get notified to get the opportunity to get in ahead of the pack ... it didn't ever guarantee it ... just gave you an additional advantage over others as far as not having to constantly monitor the Internet to see when might be the hour to purchase! ... seems to me DaVinci came through on this ... I got notified ... if some individuals hadn't announced the pre-sales to the world, it would have been a better advantage, but that was outside of DV's control.

Bunch of bitchin' and moanin' from what I can tell ... DV's done ok by us and seems to be doing their best to get the units out to customers (after all, that is in their best interest)

I wouldn't say they did right exactly, nor did they do wrong per se. But they fucked up the pre-orders as far as I am concerned...at least from a customer service point of view.

The plan is to honor what we originally stated. Those that were invited to the first 2 prereg waves and paid will receive units first. Once I have more units in the warehouse, we will announce another open buying period via email. The list is pretty big, so if you haven't received an email with a time in the past...it's due to the fact we were inviting people in batches based on incoming inventory and your number just wasn't up yet. We will get GV units to fulfill their presales in due time as well as TV. But, inventory will be available with us first as we stated from the beginning. Thanks to all that patiently waited.

As soon as I get clearance notifications we will resume sending emails in order of registration received. Please do not post these on facebook, twitter, FC or anywhere else as it makes it unfair to those who have waited. Even if you previously purchased a unit, you will still receive an email with an invite, as many who were invited in the first batched missed out ad we want to make sure to re-invite those people.

P.S Where did the number 200 come from? Not true.

Also, we noticed the 2 random orders that came in this morning....have no clue how that happened as we have inventory levels set to zero. We are contacting the people regarding their purchases and looking into this immediately.

I'm ok because I paid attention to the "actual" wording of the pre-order and made a mental note that it was a guarantee to have an opportunity to be first in line and not a guarantee to be first in line. (I can understand how many did not catch this subtle difference) So ... they have met the letter of their word ... but I kinda' agree with you Tweek in that if you are going to announce pre-registration, you should make a better effort to control it through personal, ordered, e-mails for example to ensure people receive them in the order based on pre-registration.

That being said, I can understand that this could be a management nightmare as well as from my understanding of credit card companies, could also be an issue (for instance VapeXhale tried to control the pre-orders, but the credit card companies forced them to open it up more fully back when the Cloud first hit the market to their dismay as this screwed a lot of their pre-registrants)

I just think if companies want to go with this whole pre-reg hype, they need to find a better way to lock off initial purchases to that group before going public. Otherwise, WTF is the point? I don't think there are many who thought pre-reg was a guarantee to be first in line, but they definitely thought it would mean first before the general public.

Anywho, it is what it is and Davinci appears to be trying to make it right. Definitely isn't an easy process either.

Yeah, I know we will have to keep the grill free while in actual use. But if you are carrying it around with flowers already in it or more importantly, after use...then at least you can keep the smell to a minimum by covering that grill with something.

Curious, what was your order number? Doesn't the grill area get really hot during use? May have to be a silicone cover?

I doubt order number matters for today...if Davinci says they have enough units in to send out to all the pre-orders, then they probably are getting them all ready to ship today. I do know that I ordered a few minutes after 5 on the 2nd day of pre-ordering...

It says Priority Mail...but I only live 2 states away from them, so I "probably" will get mine on Thursday...

Never once did I say it was free nor was that statement a red herring. The pre-registration was simply means to alert people when the first orders were going to be taken. As a result of a leaked email, that list got shot to shit. But, it no way was that pre-registration EVER intended to be a "placement" for orders. I have had companies dupe me before, and I understand your frustration, yet at the same time, it ended up being first come first serve, and at this point, your argument isn't going to get you a Ascent. It's just going to be waiting now.

My argument was never for an Ascent. I don't plan on buying one right now, never said I was. My comments were directed toward people like you, who come in this thread and shoot down those who were shafted by empty promises, by just telling them to "deal with it".

But I am going to assume you were one of those who jumped the queue, which is why you don't seem to give a rats ass about how others in this mess feel.

Why would DV ignore people with cash in their hands over those who registered with NO COMMITMENT to buy? How does DV know those who had interest months ago still want it?
