Actually, I followed the sage advice administered here daily, and now use a small bit of organic cotton on the top of each load. Really defeats the resin demons. But diminishes reclaim.
The dryer the better? It's crumble in my fingers dry as it's time to get more soon. New stuff. Very potent. What would any of us know about being normal?
Such build up usually depends on the herb more than anything else. Usually not well enough cured? The extra water vapor (which of course also condenses) seems to gum things up quickly. In vapes like MFLB (where you can't clean under the screen) this can be critical.
How dry is your herb? As a test, clean it and run a gram or two of very well dried out stuff (grind it and put it in a warm spot for a while).
Good luck with it.

What are EEBs?The one I have here in China is doing it. I am sitting with our electrical engineer showing him and discussing a bug fix as I type. News soon
Also talked with the US team and the spacers were freight shipped on a boat instead of air shipped so it will be another 2-3 weeks before they reach the US. As soon as I have another update on those I will be sure to let you guys know.
The oil jars are meant for oils and work really well with our EEB's as some members will testify. We would have to implement drastic changes to see a unit capable of holding 500+ degrees for a long period of time. We are working on some new things so please be patient, it is not as simple as a software adjustment as suggested.
Mine doesn't click but I don't like opening it all the way. Feels tight from closed to 1/2 then lose from 1/2 to fully open and I had to replace the last one because the hinge became disconnected from the bottom piece somehow.ok I hear and feel the click everytime I swivel open or close now.
anyone else have this too? does it *click* everytime you move the bottom chamber?
I have no idea what EEBs are? Very few folks have had luck with the oil jars on this Forum. We have mainly been sandwiching wax between herb around here or using cotton.
I am looking forward to an official spacer to come out. We've been anticipating this for a long time.

I absolutely love my ascent even though I can't use the glass vials.
I just wished they created an alternative accessory for concentrates, not the glass vials. It does not seem high on their priority list...I bet they will get a lot more buyers if they did (maybe they are making lots of profit without fixing this issue)
No you're not crazy, this is intentional It clicks into the center position, when you move/rotate the oven open, it will "click" out of place - this helps keep the unit "square" when closed.
The issue is the temperature, not the accessory trust me. If it were as simple as making different glass jars we would have done that.I absolutely love my ascent even though I can't use the glass vials.

I realize that. What are you doing to remedy this? The issue is the temperature, not the accessory trust me. If it were as simple as making different glass jars we would have done that.

I say it because they are not apologetic about this issue and not making it right for those who bought it for dual use.You say that like you think the temperature range used is a mistake (or an oversight)????

Yea, I have some dedicated to oil. I guess it was my naïveté, since I was only 6 months into vaping. But when they make a claim, they should back it up and not give a response like they did above (talking to me like I'm some idiot). I guess tone and attitude are hard to address through a computer.I see noting to apologize for I guess. I think it's a vape optimized for herb, at which it does a bang up job. It's not very good with concentrates as most find, but it's not a total bust. That is I think 'dual use' wasn't part of the deal, I'm sorry if you bought it with the mistaken idea it was ideal (or nearly so) for both.
I'm not sure such a vape exists even. Luckily there are lots of good, fairly low cost, options for oils......but none of them do bud well......
Good luck in your quest, you might consider Vapor Brothers and Up Tech (Delta 9?) offerings?

However, I found an excellent device that does both, the haze. I won't be a hater and bash on ascent because it is a great "flower" only vape. Yea, I know I can sandwich it between herbs. I didn't like how the ascent representative on this forum answered my question and issue (maybe I didn't get the tone right, but sounded condescending. And I always stuck up for the ascent when ppl bashed it.
We are working on some new things that will be useful for higher temperature vaping, but in the meantime a software patch allowing the Ascent to go up to 500 degrees would take so much more than just programming the PCB that way. They are oil jars, people the use them with oils such as our Essential Earth Blends love it. Trust me, we have acknowledged it and we are working on it but I don't think the fix will come with this Ascent. Even having tested the PNP at the 475, that is not hot enough. We are experimenting and designing daily. 2015 is going to be a great year for us and we are always listening and improving.Yea, I have some dedicated to oil. My clients in my book of business want me to be respectful and be honest in my claims. If I fall short of expectations, I apologize and try to make it right. But the key point is take responsibility for your promises, and if you are not able to deliver, make it right. Give customers some discounts for accessories, create a new design that can do both, anything.

Don't quit! I'm sorry that you misheard the tone here, I was just trying to explain we understand it is an issue and if there was a quick fix such as different glass or changing the temperature range, we would have done it. The engineering necessary to add another 100 degrees of tolerance is a lot of work especially in such a small place. We hear you and we are working on it! Thank you for supporting the Ascent.
