I find it a pain in the arse to fill... Have any of you found some sensible way of doing it and not getting weed everywhere? Also, and I totally expect some rinsing for asking such a stupid question, but where do I put a screen?
Lately, I've been measuring every load. I put a small square of paper, folded on the diagonal, and tare the scale. (old chemistry habit) You don't have to weigh, but the folded paper makes an excellent "funnel" to pour the product in. As the fold is on the diagonal, I have no trouble working with in the space around the bowl.
Also, for "no handed" work, the DV rep pointed out to me that the device will PERFECTLY balance hanging of the (squared) edge of a table. I wouldn't do it on any table that isn't over carpet, as I'd be afraid to knock it over. I see someone else has discovered a tuna fish can is about the right height. I have some kind of hand-thrown pottery dish (I don't know what to call it... a candy dish??) that I dump my ABV and glass flowers into that happens to be the exact height to support the Ascent for loading.
In terms of the screens, there is no instruction for them as they are completely optional. I for one, don't want to introduce the metal into the path, and have never taken mine out of the bag.
I find it best not to grind with ascent.
Really? I was rather skeptical about the whole grinding thing ("Ya damn kids keep your grinders offa ma lawn!") until dreamerr gifted me one. I was convinced the old fashion "tear with hands and cut" would be just as good, until I tried grinding.
holy crap, big warning everybody !!
Oh, shit! Thanks for the warning. I'm sorry that happened.
I suspect that it won't be an issue with the Croc (leather) nor with the Burl (Printed Al).
I don't know that DV would be inclined to send just a panel out (Most companies don't want customers doing repairs), but perhaps, due to the whole shipping issue, you might convince them to make an exception?
*edit* I have the same result on the back, should I rub the whole ascent with iso and create a new look nobody else has?
Ha!
That's the spirit! I like the attitude!
I want this over a pax, but is it better? Im only gunna be using for flowers, i would get a solo but its gotta be comfortable in my pocket for riding. So if someone could rate this 1-10 on vapor quality and battery. That would be great
PAX wins in size, but that's about it. In taste, batt life, ease of maintenance, efficiency, etc, I think the Ascent is miles ahead. People claim the PAX is more stealthy, but then again, due to its popularity, it is much more recognizable, which kinda works against it.
