Well... dumping out the ABV and reloading it, is kinda stirring it.
I did note that when I was first experimenting, I was compressing the heck out of the product, and stirring did seem to help. But I think that was because I was packing too hard.

lwien 's load is a strange bird. 0.025g a day is such a TINY fraction of the full oven. I wouldn't be surprised if it behaves entirely differently than, say, a half full oven. I don't even know if it really needs to be "packed" if it is sandwiched between the bottom of the bowl and the oil can. Save a second or two and don't bother compressing to see how it performs.
The oil can does quite a lot of things, including being a "paper weight" and a heat source.
With such a tiny amount (anyone else try this? it is TINY and barely just enough to cover the bottom of the bowl.) the performance is no doubt different. First thing that comes to mind, is just about the entire load is directly exposed to the glass surface area. With a larger load, you'd have stuff "inside" the puck, but this load is too thin to really have an "inside".
