As to the rubber stoppers, I'm sure a brew supply place might be the best first place to look; I was just saying that I happened to get lucky and find one at an old-school head shop. I'm assuming the best way to go is with the half-inch inner diameter tubing. I'll be able to compare it with my small (3/16" id) vinyl tubing set up. If I end up like that better, I can buy the smaller silicon tubing and look for more rubber adapters - at a brewing place.
Hey, for you Launch Box owners, I found this little trick.
I'm into cooler vapor, and while I have a bong to go along with my Zap, I don't always want to set it up, put in the water, ice, etc.... I don't keep my bong "out" on my desk 24/7, so I found this little tool works great for just a quick dose before bed or whatever - quick and easy:
I got this little elbow piece from BlissSville when I bought my Launch Box.
Note that since these glass stems are not made to fit the Zap stems, so they may or may not work on your's. But they work on mine, and I get nice cooler hits from this little piece. I think it costs $3 at the Magic-Flight site. I just checked though and don't see them on their site anymore. Maybe?

I got that silicon tubing from McMaster.com and it really isn't very satisfactory for this purpose. First of all it is not real rubbery and pliable like the other silicon I got from Magic-Flight. This is stiff like plastic and it does not retain its shape. It's more like one of those cheap garden hoses that when you bend it, it creases and cuts off the air flow. I just Assumed that it would be of the same rubbery-type material as the other. So this was totally "user error", I admit I just ordered the wrong thing. There apparently is a bit of knowledge re silicon required, to buy the right kind of silicon tubing... I thought it was all more or less the same, just thinner or thicker. This is only 1/16" thick by the way - imagine the 1/8" thick stuff...
So now I'm thinking of calling them and trying to talk to someone who knows silicon and buy what I want which is the kind that holds its tubular shape, and won't crease, and is generally very soft and pliable.

Hey AG, the SOFT blue tubing may work, I made a mistake and ordered the FIRM. I didn't even notice that it said "FIRM" anywhere on the order but when I went back and looked, there it was, clear as day. My error.
But I still don't know if the soft blue tubing will be the right kind of not. Tomorrow or soon I'll call and talk to them about it, see if I can order the right stuff next time.

The 100ml EHLE arrived this morning - that was fast! I have some good news for everybody. It appears that an adapter to add 1/2" ID tubing is unnecessary if you are cool with lightly hold the tubing up against the downstem joint. The seal is absolutely air tight. The tube doesn't fit down in there unless you tried to cram it, but this seems to work just as well. You have to be a bit more careful I suppose, but hey, it saves people on a budget about $15 or more. This is with 1/16" thick walled tubing btw, which is nice and flexible. Pics later. Enjoying the EHLE at the moment.

I just spent all day reading up and decided to purchase a myrtlezap. I was wondering I stay in a garage it has no insulation and live in So.Cal it gets pretty cold so do you think that will affect my experience?
do you happen to have any green LED lights?

All kidding aside, we live in North Idaho and we are having a very mild warm winter. Today it even got to 40, which is very warm. We have Zaps everywhere and they all work fine. In the drafty house, in the shop. So they will do fine down there. Like....do you even get DOWN to 40? Ever?
I used to live in the Bay area and Santa Cruz(50's. 60's).
Green LED it is.
You guys have it TOASTY down there. Do you even get a frost, ever? We had 10-12F for days in December.
It really is a nice winter though. No snow. Frost out of the ground.
