Welcome to the family of Zappers!B. said:My MZ shipped yesterday
So what would you suggest for those of us looking to possibly get some glass for our Zaps? Tubing running to the downstem of the glass? (My original thought) It did cross my mind a bit about using the Zap upside down, but I didnt figure that it would be too big of a deal. (Although longevity of my unit is keen)Rick said:aero18
You do know the Zap is not designed to be a big hitting party Vape? I also have some concern running it upside down. Heat always rises so you have the heat produced in the Zap migrating to the bottom chamber where it does no good. Then there is the factor of supporting the whole unit by a stem tip and heatport tube. I don't recommend that. I would rather see the Zap on a surface, as it was designed(for).
If you cannot find a 13.5, we do have them. As I recall, you wanted one at first with your order, then decided not to get one?
Nice pics for sure. Thanks for showing all your stuff.
Thats EXACTLY what I do & it works perfect so far. Also, when Im using this method,Im STRICTLY using the 13.5V plug since heat does rise and you do lose some to the upside down flip....B. said:mmm...pr0n
Rick, what if the stem was left in the bong, and the MZ was used like a lighter, only being upside down for the duration of the hit, and if we hold onto the MZ it won't put extra strain on it or the bong?
LOL These guys are like bad influences you know?Rick said:Man, I guess we are going to have to try the glass/Zap combo. Looks like we have been missing something here in Zapville.
I used that method with my Zap and it works perfectly with the 12 v standard, for me. I exhale mucho vapor so I can't imagine anyone wanting to exhale more. Maybe if you want it hotter to release the cannabanoids(?) or whatever?FEAR420 said:Thats EXACTLY what I do & it works perfect so far. It may 'cause damage if you are letting the weight of the Zap rest on the stem, but I believe what we are talking about here is just holding the Zap to the stem when you're hitting it, but not allowing any weight to be distributed to the stem or the bong. That's what I do and I can't see how any damage could result from doing it this way. One advantage of not using a whip is that there is just one less thing to lose THC due to condensation on. Enough is being lost in the bong, the way I see it. No need to add anything that would cause more.MoeOnTheMoon said:But since Rick said supporting the Zap that way might cause damage......
(I hate to say this again) but you might want to try your LHBS. I know one that I have here has stoppers of all sizes, drilled and not drilled (at all different diameters)MoeOnTheMoon said:My present set up involves a GonG adapter that fits to vinyl tubing then a rubber adaptor to the stem. If anyone wants to see that, I have pictures, but it's for using with a much thinner vinyl tubing, and god knows where you can get a rubber adaptor like I found at an old-school head shop!) :/
Check this out Rick. http://www.bestweekever.tv/2008-2-13/nicebreaker-hot-polar-bear-and-dog-cuddling-action/Rick said:lwien
I love your new avatar or whatever they are called. Is that a Malamute being cuddled by the Polar Bear? We love Malamutes and have a handful or so. Matter of fact, old Papa(Glacier) is heading back home tonight. He is about 13 which is old for a big(150 lbs or so) Malamute. He has been going down for quite awhile so it is all expected and easy for him so far. At least that is what he tells us. But then dogs are like that. Tough on Zaplady though.
