I unfortunately lost the screen to my first stem, and the screen on the second stem won't stay in place so small amounts of leaf keep getting sucked up into my mouth and its rather irksome. I've read the 'how to fix' posts, and it seems as though I'm missing a little piece to keep it in place. I hate to say it, but it looks like aromazap will be down for a while (best wishes and best luck Rick) but I was wondering what my options were for a stem. Are there any replacement stem I can buy? Even if its a glass one or an aftermarket stem. I just want to be able to use and enjoy my zap! Or if anyone has an extra stem they'd be willing to part with... :bowdown:

I sent you a PM with details...
You will get a couple new screens....you will pull out the old screen and the lock ring also... and just wedge the screen in through the tip of the stem... using a dowel or your Zap "tamper". It will stay in place, and work well.
You can always order Ed's TNT Zap Stems for some real classy Vaping!

Snitches and deceit:
I am an Old School Guy.
I am friends with many Law Enforcement Officers.
Before my coma, I worked directly with many as a K9 trainer.
They have shared their feelings with me about informants.
The fact is…
Nobody likes a snitch.
Even cops hate the RatFinks they gather info from.
Behind the snitches back's they call them all sorts of names.
The Fink's do what they do for a variety of reasons.. all reason's being self absorbed, narcissistic and self "stroking".
How frustrating!
Poor snitches… they stroke and stroke, but never "get there"!
These people got where they are, by always pointing fingers at everyone else as children.
They were told things like "when you point a finger, four other fingers point right back at you.
By third grade these guys know the word "tattletale" by heart, and they sometimes invent things.
Snitches are known to exaggerate to get attention, and to make things more important… to make their "intel" more intense and meaningful.
Finks know that cops may fall for it, because they have been waiting so long to use some of that training the taxpayers shelled out for… so the Finks watch the cops reactions to see where the next lie should go.
One final word about "RatFinks"….
Being a rat is a very isolated and lonely thing. A rat knows the cops don't respect them….. so there is no commiseration there…
The Rats are so embarrassed with themselves.. so perfectly ashamed of their own actions, that they will not even share what they are doing with their family members… who upon learning of their actions are shocked~

More wisdom from another old man. We all know about Vitolo the Vaporist and his contributions here at FC. Many of us do not know much of his past history, before the coma. Vito is a dog guy, one of the very best. He spent much of his life training work/service dogs. He mainly worked with law enforcement and traveled the world. He also trained them in Martial Arts. His father was assassinated when he was a small boy. Someone needs to make a movie of his story, a story about human strength and how legal MMJ helps him stay strong after he should have been dead from getting run over by a truck while walking on the sidewalk.

Bacon. Bacon. Who likes bacon? Or maybe the question should be who DOES NOT like bacon? We just pulled another 40/50 pounds out of the smoker last night. Second batch in a week. We finally got the cure down with just the right amount of brown sugar in the mix. Applewood smoke for 6-8 hours. This year we are doing "Hillbilly Bacon" besides the regular side slabs like you get in the grocery store. Hillbilly bacon comes from wherever we want. For some reason we have refreshed our love of BLTs. Really good for breakfast!

RRRRRRRRRRRRR BACON! Damn it I gotta get me some this morning. Its gonna be the death of me Rick, either I die from all the cholesterol one day or I will be in the store buying some and a big pallet of it will fall on me and kill me! OOOO I love Bacon!

These days we raise 4 piggees every summer/fall. They provide pork for our families most of the year. We feed them ground grains direct from the farmer(made twice daily in a nice warm mash) and produce waste from our small farm. Pigs are incredible at producing good meat efficiently. We do all the processing, smoking, cutting/wrapping etc here on the place. We also do one steer every year as we have lots of good grass and clover to feed a couple bovines. Wilma, our first heifer, is about 2 1/2 months away from her first calf. We are getting a small steer today to join the family as Barney, the 1500 pound steer will be moving on in a month or two. We always strive to have company for our livestock. When one leaves, another has been on the scene for a couple months. I have this thing about giving our critters the best life they could possibly have while they are here. They all are here for our benefit so they get the good life. They are a big part of our daily life with at least twice a day feedings. We also have chickens and fresh eggs. We bought only one dozen eggs all year.

Yesterdays smoker haul included a big ham, ham hocks and a bunch of bluebacks fresh from local lakes.

Even with the serious, mind numbing dramas going on here, we have so much to be thankful for. This weekend also included six kids playing and having lots of fun. Pat and I treated them all to breakfast yesterday. Kids sure can eat alot of biscuits and gravy, bacon, potato pancakes and whatever else is around.............."thanks for the food" going out the door. Good days.

Anyone have a spare VVPS to Zap cord they would like to part with?

My cord seems to have gone bad as my zap just suddenly went cold one day and works fine when tested with my last remaining working 12v power supply.

The display on the spartan is still lit up so I'm guessing its not the power supply, although the power cord going into the back of the spartan is super loose and I can move it several inches into the body of the unit (which cant be right)...

I know I can try to strip and reconnect the end myself but the cord is probably so messed up in so many places I would rather just grab a fresh one that I know for sure will work so I can rule out my VVPS being bad in some way.

Good luck! I doubt anyone would want to part with one. I think several pages back in the thread Rick had a series of pictures showing how he built the cords.

Phizix, you can get a power cord from the folks who sell the Spartan. http://www.tattoomachineequipment.com/heavy-duty-clip-cord
This will get you a new VVPS plug and cord. You will still have to put a Zap plug on the other end as the cord in the link does not have the Zap plug. Email me if you have trouble finding a Zap plug(5.5 x 2.1 mm female)

Been thinking about a Thanksgiving bunch of words. What all to be thankful for and all that on this special day in this special year for Aromazap. You know, be thankful for this and that and everything in between type stuff.
It hit me different this year though, what thanksgiving is all about. Thanksgiving is a state of mind. It is an attitude that should be practiced daily, even hourly. Today is just a reminder of what we should do every day, starting with our closest loved ones. A thankful attitude is full of love all the time. Love for the connection to something greater than us. The connection is there with all of us but we have to know it first. We have to expect it and want it. The connection is that part of us that never dies, our center core, our soul. It is the same connection that hooks us to other humans and all life, even rocks. That connection can only really work when we have a thankful attitude. As I go through all the people and 'things' to be thankful for, I cannot come up with anything NOT to be thankful for. Even the events of this last summer and how that all happened I MUST be thankful for. It has happened. If I hold out thanks for that situation, it hurts me by nagging away at the happiness of the days. It hurts my soul to regurgitate negative. Thanks is strength for the soul.

Don't get me wrong and think I have gone whackier than ever. Sometimes we need to be thankful for plenty of arrows in the quiver. Some people are in the dark for this life journey and we have to keep our distance.

I am thankful to know I am part of a loving 'something greater than me'. All else comes from that.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the FC gang. Make those hugs real today.

Jumping in late on this thread, been away from FC for awhile. Rick, hope everything is going OK. You have always been extremely generous with your customer service & products. I'm sure you don't deserve any of the negative energy directed towards your family lately. I was planning on purchasing a RockZap for the holidays, only too see that your site was down :|

Anyone know where I can get screens to fit the original brass zap stems? I need to replace them since it seems I may have to wait a bit for a RockZap. I know I could cut some to size, but I would prefer to have some pre-made ones.

As I have mentioned in the last few months, LEO even took our bags of pre-cut screens. I had thousands left, 2 sizes in two plastic bags. They took them all. Still no word on when or if we will get everything or anything back. The wheels of civil action roll very slowly. You do notice I did not say the wheels of "justice"? I can say the ball is back in 'their' court now. We may know more by Christmas. I do want to add this last Wednesday was the best Wednesday I have had since 7/25. Full of energy, positive, getting started with some diet and exercise changes. No slunk Wednesday this time. Wednesdays have nagged us since the unconstitutional invasion and theft of our property on 7/25.

NewVape, glad you could snag a RockZap. That is one of the earliest RZs made, last Oct/Nov is my guess. It is a Maple Zap. Good to see it is in good old California, the State of my birth. I was even born in Oakland. Kind of ironic with all that is happening these days.

That pic of Fantasia in Vitos hand is like all the rest. So could it be the Zap itself that is "a bit more"?
As far as I am concerned, that pic of Fantasia just gives me comfort. Such a nice hand! Such a nice (shaped) CRZ. Feels good.

Good to see some levity return to ghost town Zapville.

Maybe, to end this special year right, we can see some more pics of some Zaps out there? All my pics are off to the Man. They missed taking our camera on the 25th. Not sure why as it was in plain view on the bar. When I found it was still here, I deleted many Zap pictures still on it, just in case LEO decided to come again.
Thanks so much Vito for the trip down memory lane. I would especially like to see some of the units we shipped mid to late spring of this year as those are special because of the events of this summer.

Can i ask you or anyone else on here that might be experienced with log vapes, if you notice any significant differences between each of these vapes based on their size. So of these that are or have been in your possession, besides weight and feel in your hands, is there any other difference other than cosmetics as far as performance? I see "small is a definite consideration for convenience of using with water devices, but aren't the heaters all pretty much doing the same thing?

I was also wondering if these are basically going to become collector's items, and if so, is it worth trying to watch for one or do you think I'm good if I am already an Underdog owner?


Which leads me to the 2nd question of similarities and differences as well as overall preference over the design of the zap versus the ud. I would assume that as UD is a newer company and might have the benefit of the Zap to model the UD after, not sure if that's the origin, but Zap and the EL-2 I believe were log vapes that seemed to be as good or perhaps even better in design vs. the UD. I don't know for sure so was hoping for some help with some of you seasoned vape vets out there. I'm on a crash course learning curve, but wanting to settle certain things without having to read so many hundreds of posts. Not sure how you all keep up, seems overwhelming!



I really appreciate the spirit of this site and the community's commitment to all THIS!
