here for the chicks
Love the Ambrosia Maple mom, happy birthday indeed!

That would definitely be my first choice of wood for a first Zap.

Can't wait to see the rest of the wood porn Rick, but don't stress yourself out to much driving around looking for wireless access please.

Happy new year everyone!

Ed's TNT makes great stems.
These are some of my Zap stems from him

The stem that you see here however was made by Rick. It is completely lined with Stainless Steel.

You would have to look at AromaZap website, where you will find a couple offered from time to time.

Very nice Mom (I wouldn't be able to decide which one to use first lol) and Vito. Beautiful additions. Did you get that walnut gripper you were watching Deez?

I was going to wait, but looks like I'll be stalking the zap site tonight. After all, everyone needs at LEAST two, right?

Should have known posting it up here was bad idea.... someone snatched it right up! damnit ... just as the crack in my RZ is growing.... im praying for this zap to live at least unto the new year! i dont know of anything i can really do to help at this point besides be extra careful with it. I feel its about to split in half and become a hot potato as Rick might put it.

Fantastic photos, Mom! What a spectacular birthday present! So professional! And Zappy birthday!

Its good to know there is an extra fine bunch in the line up for next time(which cant come soon enough) i will be eagerly watching the Zap train

Thanks everyone. I'm a pretty happy camper with my new Zaps! :D

Vito, that stem matches your new Zap perfectly. Beautiful combo.

Talked to Zapville again last night. Poor Rick is literally driving himself crazy going to all the local (that's a subjective term.... one is 10 miles away and the other 30) McDonalds to get WiFi. Anyway, from what I understand, there will be whole lot of new beauties in store for us soon, so keep a look out on the website. He probably will not post them on the thread (unless he orders a super sized meal and finds a booth with his back to the wall....) due to his lack of internet. I would imagine it's a little tough making sure no one is looking over his shoulder as he looks at a vape site and posts pics...

Anyway, the site can still take orders, but order confirmations and shipments will be delayed until Rick's internet is back up and running. If you are worried in any way about your order, let me know here or by pm and I will get in touch with Rick. I don't forsee him being hooked back up before next week some time because of the holiday.

Zappy New Year every one. :D

Glad more are going up, because I just happen to be in the market for another.

Has Rick tried the parking lot of McDs? Should get a strong enough signal with a little more privacy.

EDIT** New ones up
Damn you Rick. Those are fucking amazing. I might need a few more.

Lol....this is a little funny. Guess Rick has decided one trip a day to the McDonalds isn't enough. Had to have an egg McMuffin too...

There are some beauties up on the website.

 Is there such a thing as a girl having too many vapes? I think not! Jesus take the wheel.....

Yup, back suffering at McDonalds. They are both 30 miles from home but this one is in "the Silver Valley" (Kellogg, ID) and has much faster internet plus is not so busy.
I think I just got ten more up. We have only put up some of the pretties but the ones up now are about as good as they get.
This was good for me as I get to see what hi speed really is compared to the Satellite hook up at home which is not bad at all.
Outta here til tomorrow at the earliest.
Here are a couple of our favorites, Ambrosia Maple.

A word from Zapville, on the new CRZs that you see up on the website. (J series and forward)
The units now have a "signature" made by the person that turns the blocks of wood for each Zap.
Using a very fine, air powered dental tool, and a steady hand, and neat font...
Each Zap has engraved in it in small letters the species of the wood!
Another great change, that will only make collecting Zaps more fun!

At first, we had our hearts set on a Redwood. Then we heard the Sumos were coming. I held off until the Mrs could take her pick. Before she even got to the sumos, she picked the A. Maple (J1).

Just to clarify, the new units will ship with the 12v DC? How about the spares? We ordered an extra also.

On a side note, I've found the Zap makes me ramble too much. Enjoy your night everybody. Stay safe.

Awesome new pics. If I had cash I'd get another! And best of luck with getting up and running again quickly Rick.

Big question.

My glass tooty, which is my primary stem, is developing a thick golden coat of resin. I want to extract whatever I can in the tooty for consumption once the coat gets thick enough. Now my friend who owns a DBV had the same coating develop in his glass wand.

What he did was first take a hit or 2 and get the wand warm/soften the resin, then used a small jeweler's flathead screwdriver to scrape up what he could. Then used a paperclip on what he missed and finally soaked the wand in ISO to get everything left, then let the ISO evaporate and scraped up what was left (qwiso). Can I do this same method with my glass tooty? Obviously a screwdriver won't work because of the mouthpiece bend but maybe I can work some magic with a paperclip. Otherwise I'll just soak the stem in ISO and evaporate then scrape up what is left. Or Rick's Everclear method.

Thanks guys!

Yes... 12v DC ir the order of the day!

As for the glass tootie...
fill it with Iso (91%) and shake like the dickens... or use a small thin container and soak.
Evap the Iso, and you're left with gold!

I personally shake most of the time, but when I soak more than one I use a thin bud vase.

I heat up my iso which speeds the whole process up to the point that it takes minutes.

Use a double-boiler and not the microwave or direct heat. No gas stoves. Get the water boiling well so there's lots of steam, minimizing (possibly eliminating) flammability. Use good ventilation.

Iso and salt work great to shake quickly and then h20 rinse on everything.

Beautiful new zaps up.

The Ambrosia Maple is amazing. Always three holes. What are those ambrosia beetles having a race? Maybe it is just from the same piece of wood that was used to make mom's Zap.

I pour my dirty alcohol into a shot glass and then place the shot glass on top of my heat sink tube to speed evaporation. Maybe place some fresh herb into the shot glass when much of the alcohol is gone. Really gives it an extra boost.

Thanks guys. So skip trying to scrap anything with a paper clip you say and go straight for the ISO method?
