Arizer Solo

My Solo rattles if I shake it. I think it's little bits of weed that've fallen through the holes in the heating chamber? Is that okay?
The Solo works just fine though so it's not a problem, I'm just curious. Sadly I'm dry right now and will be for a few days. :[

Don't sweat it, Solo is built to make vapor not to listen to. If you want to listen to stuff I can recommend lots of other, better, products..........

As long as it's working fine, enjoy it and don't obsess over details is my advice. Sorry about the stash situation, I would have recommended otherwise if you'd asked first. Not much I can do about it from here for sure.

Regards and best wishes until the next batch come in? Until then, stop shaking your empty Solo and worrying. Life is much too short for that.

I envisioned you with a SCS..
Is that a dent in your solo cap or glare?!
It must be glare?

I have a SPACE CASE and the thing works so well. It's hard to justify buying a new one?
I wanted to buy the SANTA CRUZ and the MUNCHER. I have a KNOCK Off of the SPACE CASE however is a dog turd! The SPACE CASE (real one) gets it done so I just keep using it. I have a battery operated one however the flower is too fine for my SOLO. The 3.5" SPACE CASE is way to big. 2 grams at a time? I like 0.25 grams at a time so it's always fresh. I have other vaporizer I use however it seems the SOLO at level 4 is perfect for my ataxia!

I ran the SOLO with all these water tools!
It handled it just fine!
Sadly I'm dry right now and will be for a few days. :[
That is so sad!

I am certain this has been discussed, but no time to search and need a quick answer if possible. My Solo has suddenly started flashing all seven level lights, with the charge light flashing alternating red and green when I try to charge the unit. I lost my original charger, so I am using a replacement charger I bought as well as a car charger from Vapornation a week or so ago. Everything seemed to work fine for a few days, but now the unit just flashes when I try to charge it. Anyone know what's up?

No problem my buttons make noise and also the newer solo the battery moved a little if shaken.

@TheDudeAbides any way to check the power supply to make sure it's putting out 12 volts?
You could try to open it and see if the batteries are hot while charging?
Does it turn on and heat up?

Sounds like your Solo needs a charge maybe?

Finishing up my third session on a cotton that I put in the vapor path. It got super saturated in resin after a few grams, nice clear red pools of it against the inside of the glass. So many hits off this thing it's ridiculous.

Man you're chill. I like you. :p Vape some weed for me if you have it! I could try hitting my empty solo and like the universe will transfer your vapor into my Solo... that's how it works right?

I'm sorry, but I'm spoken for.......

Flattered, of course.

I like the idea of THC transfers.....maybe using fax technology? Or maybe we just transport the herb from the Dispensary to our car trunks in the dead of night? Lots of stuff to look forward to.

Or just move to Berkeley. They just passed another whopper, now Dispensaries in the People's Republic have to give part of their profits to the homeless. In the form of free bud, of course. By law there are no profits of course, but they gotta give 2% of their gross to poor people with cards. What a town!

That's exactly the problem I'm having. It won't charge. I've tried the wall charger and the car charger, and when it plug the Solo in, it looks like it starts to charge and then immediately the charge light starts rapid-blinking red and green and all seven level lights flash on and off.

Common failure modes?.......bad karma......

How new is your unit? Does it get a lot of use? How was the battery life doing when it went South?

TIA for any details.

As far as I can recall all similar problems have come back to a bad battery......which should have died slowly, giving plenty of warning? I'm also not clear on why it won't charge at all (it seems), perhaps the protection board has locked out one cell? Maybe a cell has suddenly gone open circuit?

Anybody got a feel for how common this is and if it's confined to the new design?

Thanks.

Hey all,

I just received my first vape, my new Solo, in the mail. I'm currently charging it, my plan is to charge it over night, and then I'll do the burn off tomorrow. I've read the last 60 pages or so of this thread, while doing my research into which vape to get, and I wanted to ask if there is anything else I should do with it before I use it? I forgot to add I'm really psyched to start vaping :) Also a big thanks to Randy @PuffItUp for a truly pleasurable transaction, I'll be buying all my vapes from PIU, starting with the new black Indica when it's released.

Thanks,

GoLd

I can answer the first few questions at least.

I bought the unit in May of this year and use generally as my on-the-go vape, so average of 4-5 uses or so per week.

It's been working perfectly. No issues except for the chipping on the edges of the bottom screws, which I fixed with a little bit of super glue.

I lost my charger a few weeks ago and finally bought a replacement wall charger and a car charger from Vapor Nation. That was a couple weeks ago, and this started yesterday. No warning, no slow build-up, nothing. When I plug it in, it beeps, lights up at two, pauses, and then all seven heat settings flash and the charge light flashes red.

I just now unplugged it and still have no charge. Plugged it back in, same thing. I turned it on with it plugged in, set it to 4, and it beeps, hesitates, and then all seven heat settings flash while the heat light flashes. Waiting to see if it heats up.

Edit: It's not heating. Cold as can be.

Thanks. New model, modest use, but went seriously low in charge while the charger was lost? But charging and battery life returned for a few weeks then sudden death? You got the normal number of sessions from your last charge?

TIA. I'm starting to wonder if the new style deals with a locked out battery differently.......IIRC I tested the old style for this........

I'm totally digging my Solo, but I have a question about charging it the first time. How can I tell when it's ready for a charge for the first drain, even ones afterwards? It seems this thing is lasting forever on the first charge. I know that it shows the charge level when you first start it up but what should it show that tells me it needs a charge? Does it flash in the charge led? Or will nothing light yellow and just the idle will be lit when I turn it on?

Something strange too...when I turn it on now it goes to number 1 even though I pushed the down arrow to set it to idle, but it keeps going to 1. (EDIT: seems ok now, maybe it was still hot but it was sitting for a long time, idk)

And funny...this thing looks like something out of Star Wars sorta and after I vaped some Skywalker in it I realized...Skywalker vaped with a Hand Solo, lol...ok, that's enough for me:)

Yeah, THAT is the problem. It looks like something out some war.
It just needs a FlavorFlav watch on the side, and the proverbial red and green wires to snip. I try vaping on that thing in public and people stare like you're suckin' on ordnans.

Yeah well, at first I thought there was no way I'd try but in Silver it kinda looks like a canned drink with a big straw...maybe? And you can throw it in an actual drinking cup like some do, at least. But for what it is, it is worth it all the way! You have to trade something off I guess and if it's looks in this case, big deal...the thing is awesome. First vape that worked out for me, after many attempts.

Glad it worked for you! I've been going hard on it this morning with flower and oil, she's keeping up ;) When it turns on and flashes the battery level you can tell. I charge it when it only shows 1 LED. It's on the charger until all 7 lights are solid and the green charge light is flashing and not solid.

Is the warrenty on this product very good? Are the folks at arizer easy to deal with? I'm trying to decide between this and an MFLB with power adapter. I'll mostly be using it as an at Home vape but will bring it around. I've owned a V-Tower, Extreme Q, Da Buddha, and vapebowl in the past which have all served their purpose but I want something smaller.

Between the MFLB and Solo? The Solo wins IMO. I've had the MFLB and it serves it's purpose but you can do so much more with the Solo. It's so versatile adding different glass pieces and stems. I gave my MFLB to a friend and he really likes it. For me I didn't like having to put in the battery and then take it out every time I took a draw. I like to relax when I vaporize.
