okay, so I got my solo a week ago and I'm absolutely loving it, only I have absolutely no idea how to use that large potpourri bowl they give you. It looks like it could be used for oils or concentrates, but I simply do not know where to put my face in relation to this thing.

I had to clean up my medical stuff.
What a disaster!
However I found all these gadgets I bought some time ago.
Plus I found enough washers to last a life time!
Dreamerr made me aware of my disorganized chaos!
The cool part is I have seals on both SOLO's now!
That's the cover bowl. By that I mean they send you that and a packet of potpourri and pretend that you're getting an aromatherapy device. That's also why the lowest temperature on the Solo is useless. You're supposed to put the potpourri in the bowl and use the lwoest temperature and that will waft lovely smells throughout the room. Nonsense, it doesn't work.
Someone in this thread came up with a use for that bowl but I don't remember what it is.
To be fair I have put peppermint and lavender leaves (separately of course) in the potpourri bowl @ temp #1, it actually does work. That said I only ever tried it twice but if I need to emergency diffuse some nice smells then I suppose it could do the trick....
I'm sure you could make a makeshift glass adapter or something out if it, I dunno.

Have you guys used the ssv aromatherapy dishes? You add wax/paraffin and it melts and then you add essential oils, they vaporize and the wax stays liquid until the device is turned off. As a couple of examples I've used eucalyptus oil when congested, and I like lime/coconut for fun. I'm sure these dishes could be used the same way, you really don't need as much wax as the ssv dishes hold.

Yes, the solo bowl works with oil but the issue is you have to keep restarting after the cycle finishes. The ssv aroma bowl works great and can be left on 24/7 as you do your ssv.

Ah lmfao, I think I more then likely use no less then a gram a day. I don't weight but figure it this way. I do no less then 6 solo stems usually more...ok lets see today was a light day but I have hours to go. I have had two solo stems and 4 bullets in the PN. Like I said a slow day but I still have 4-5 hours left before I go to sleep.

I'm going off 2013 so far.
Two pounds per year should be enough including making my own concentrates.

My SOLO's are very efficient.
The people who still burn zig-zags consume closer to 4 pounds per year.
13 ounces per year is your consumption + or -?
12.2 ounces including making my own concentrates is a little lean.

hello arizer buddies, first post on FC, i've run into a problem with my solo after happily using it for about 6 months.
the device charges normally, but when it is unplugged the bottom 4 lights (idle and 1 through 3) continuously flash and i am unable to use the device. i've done a little searching and it seems to be an error message relating to the wattage of the device? could anybody here expand upon that and maybe offer up a potential solution?

This is my first post, so wanted to thank the active participants of this thread...
Coz of u guys I bought a Solo, and I am totally in love with it..this is my 2nd vape after Magic flight(did nothing for me)...
Naah nothing wrong with the product but it did nothing for a person who used to have at least 5-7 fat joints everyday.. And I was having em everyday for last 2yrs.. So magic flight was a total waste and I kept having those rolled ones....soon these J started taking a toll on my throat, and my love for weed didn't allow me to stop smoking em..so to make the long story short, I stumbled upon this thread and with all the good words , u guys had put for solo. I imported a solo for my self, though it didn't have much effect in beginning but it surely hooked me to vaping, as the taste was jus heavenly..

PS- though I am not able to get high like I used too , so few tips are always welcome

First off, welcome to the forum, sorry you're having troubles.
My first thought is there's a battery failure here, one of the batteries (there's two) isn't cutting it any more so that the voltage isn't enough to work the Solo? I've never see or heard of this flashing condition, perhaps someone else has? Short of building an intentionally faulty battery pack, I'm not sure how to test this.....
Unfortunately I think you're looking at a warranty return, but let's see if someone else has something to contribute while I think about how to reproduce the problem?
My understanding is the potpourri bowl is for when the mother-in-law finds your Solo? Otherwise one member did cut the bottom off and have a real stem made with it. I've put fragrance oils in one of mine (a time or two) but the other oil warmers (that don't time out) work much better. I really like the ones with candles in them......somehow burning fossil fuels while acting like a hippie seems fun. Lemon and pine are favorites around here, along with Sandalwood of course.
As far as getting the last word over Dreamer? Knock yourself out.......

Yup....you should write to em....I also bought my Solo from amazon, and I don't have a invoice..so even I would like to know !if arizer acknowledges your case

I have noticed this a lot on many sites. ebay has no glass, amazon cutting back on whats considered aromatherapy devices, yet Volcano still flys.
Welcome to abhishek. I am also of indian descent and when I visit gujrat I cant get any quality material. how is delhi as far as materials go?

Yes, by all means contact the maker. Nobody with a legit complaint seems to have been denied support by them (unlike some others). Some guys get them as gifts, or second hand, they know by number it's only a few months old.

I do know there was at least one flap with 'gray market' sellers. These are guys with 'fair trade' agreements to get units at deep discounts from the maker to wholesale and retail sell. The agreement is to not sell below MSRP (or other number) and undercut the little guys. There was at least one case of that I know of. Unlike Ebay, Amazon has standards it seems?
Perhaps some recall the 'new MFLBs on Ebay with the serial numbers sanded off'? Same deal, the dealer that got them cheap was dumping them and hiding his tracks that way.....blatantly illegal in most states. Check it out, no law says you have to S/N products (except things like guns and cars) but if it's there, removing it is 'prima facie' (Latin for 'on the face' IIRC) evidence it's stolen. Possession or offer for sale is a bust. You go from assumed innocence to assumed guilt and have to prove it's not stolen.....not easy.

I have always hated to throw things away. So I took that useless aromatherapy bowl to my local glass blower and had him make a gong(mine is 14mm but a 19mm could be done as well).
Works great. The charge was $20 and there was no shipping. I also had him make a new stem for my old fashioned bong, so it fits perfectly. Changing from the water tool to just a stem is easy too, just adding a piece of tubing and an EQ balloon mouthpiece gives you this:
