The tubing will be used with a lot of different things. I don't have a stealth adapter because to me it is silly but a lot of people like it. I can doohicky any stem to go in a cup so I never saw the purpose of the skinny top just to put a stripped straw on. I bought glass straws to drink with a while back to use to attach to my solo and INH and I like them so much I bring them with me on the rare occasion I go to a restaurant. I don't see the big deal of a glass straw sticking out of a cup. Take a look at the McDonalds cup on PV and see how they have it hooked up and decide from there if you need it.

EDIT: I didn't even buy the tubing which I believe was the second size that fits on the stealth adapter as it is useless to me for any of my setups. It is really small. I bought from 1/4" and up.

But the stem size is 1/2" which is the same size as the largest tubing so are they just for your other vapes?

I do not have a PA for the SOLO yet (on the way) but PA's usually let the heater run more consistently than a battery. I use a PA for the MFLB and it works wonders so Im hoping the same for my SOLO

I'd say 'usually a PA is a substitute for a battery'. In the MFLB case it provides 'ideal battery power', that is it doesn't degrade over time as the charge depletes like a battery would.

In Solo, closed loop temperature control (where you sample the output (heat) and modify the input (power)) to correct the error (like a heater thermostat does) is used. As the Solo battery discharges it just stays on slightly longer each on/off cycle to compensate. As a user you don't really notice. Same is true with the Solo PA. The way you know it's being used is either by the cord or because the battery isn't getting discharged as fast as before (it lasts about 5 times longer with the PA helping supply heat).

Are these not the ones you showed us awhile ago?

Those two will make a PA, several members are using them. As will Pipe's PA very soon?

My buddy's Solo is acting funny. Has anyone seen the lights act up like this (double lights 5/1, 6/2, 7/3)?

Not on a Solo but it's a common sort of display problem to have on so called 'multiplexed' displays (where things are coded and often time shared). Notice that there's a factor of four difference? As in the digital 1, 2, 4, 8 count sequence. Looks to me like 'the four bit is stuck' in the display section. I see no evidence it's a processor problem, it probably runs just fine? If it's out of warranty I'd live with it (no real risks), if it's in I'd get it fixed?

I know there are mixed opnions on the Eds wooden stem for this thing. I tried one yesterday and I think I like the stem a lot. It seems to cool the vapor quite nicely. It might be my imagination but I think it pulls a bit better than the stock stem too.
I agree!

Bow, when you get a large collection of vapes you need tubing to do all kinds of mods. Some you need the high temp some you don't but I prefer to be safe. With the stealth stem the top is small which is where you would put the tubing however you don't need it. You just put the straw over it. Did you look at the pictures on PV site? The tubing they recommend if you want to use it as a whip vape is 3/16" ID x 5/16"OD High Temp Silicone Tubing, my guess is you can use the size up and just shove it down more as that small size is not good for many other things as far as I know. I hope I answered what you question was this time or I am just confused.

OF oh wise one if he pulled the battery out and let it do a hard reset would that maybe fix it?

I'm pretty sure it's out of warranty. I told him (my buddy with the funky Solo lights) to stop being a whiny bitch and just vape it 'til it dies. I'm sensitive and empathetic like that. ;)

I would not expect it to. The processor is running correctly (assuming it heats normally....), it's just a display issue, and no doubt 'hardware' based.

If the processor is crashed, then I'd go for it.

Explains all the fan mail, doesn't it?

Well my basic question was I'd have to spend around 30 $ for the stealth and tubing so i was wondering if vaping with a whip was that much better then without. I used to own a mflb and I had the whip and liked it more but I never really liked the mflb to begin with

My friends call me "Menz"
No , not like that .
Does it still work , heat up and charge ?
How old is it ? ( under warranty still )
It could be just the circuitry acting up ....

edit ;
hey mm , same questions for you .

after extensive testing since the problem started... i have deduced that it is not the battery. it still charges, it still holds a charge. it still heats and i still get the same amount of sessions from it. it is still under warranty and i maybe sending it back soon but i still use it soooooo much

Hey y'all, I was hoping somebody can help me troubleshoot issues with my solo? Got it a few weeks ago and everything is great except the battery life. I prefer to run it at the 5 heat level, and with I only get around 5 sessions out of a full charge. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less.

Today I replaced my battery, but the new battery has the same life. Also, I've read about people charging their batteries for 2-3 hours, while I would guess mine usually takes 45 minutes to an hour for it to show a full charge. Any ideas would be appreciated, maybe a problem with the charger?

I have all the needed parts together now. With the exception of some possible minor changes, this is what to expect in the upcoming release of the all in one power solution for the Solo.

For those with the home PA already covered I will likely offer the car adapter and PA as a separate option as well.

Are you running down all the way so it won't work or is it just based on the light display when you turn it on? If that's the case, you really have several more cycles left. it's better for the battery nit ti fully discharge it though. it's like a reminder to recharge it, that way you will get the longest life out if it

I use a whip with my Solo sometimes. I don't have the stealth adapter, though. If you still have it, you can use the MFLB whip with a stock stem.

Usually after about 4 cycles it says that I have 1/7 charge, at which point I plug it in because I had heard it was bad to run it all the way down. Is my battery life significantly lower than normal, or are my expectations unrealisitic?

What are you going to use it for before you waste money. The 1/2" tubing should be fine and more then likely cheaper. I didn't check the prices.

I am very intrigued at the water tools there are for the solo. Does anyone have some good links I could check out ?

sounds about right, it's better to charge it before it's all the way drained but you have at least another 5 or so cycles left before it's actually dead

To be clear, the MFLB whip tubing isn't quite wide enough to form a snug seal inside the solo stem unless the whip mouthpiece is in it.

If you're buying just tubing, which would likely be cheaper, you'll need a slightly larger size.

After playing around with my VAAAPP I decided its a cool thing, i have some good oil right now and it vapes nicely, not completely but nicely. :science: I finish it off by hitting the vial with a torch.
And the wood stem i made fits so-so. I did manage to crack one stem pushing too hard. I'll report back after i've used it.

I really appreciate that man! I just started a conversation with you and sent you my address...I hope that's the same as a PM.

Anyways, love reading your guys' posts and glad to share this amazing Solo experience with others. This thing has changed my life. Top 5 purchase I've ever made.

Surely you'll share the 4 things better than the Solo that you've purchased? I've got a credit card and I'm not afraid to use it.

You'll be getting a letter in the mail. Don't throw it in your stack of bills that you have no intention of paying (OF has done this... ask him) and enjoy my re-gifted gift.

FWIW it's an M106

:peace:

Yep I had this issue as well after taking my solo overseas to Amsterdam and vaporized in the cold... tho it was nothing wrong about functionality... it was M107...however I managed to drown it in water so we'll never know how long could it lasted

there are no water tools made just for the solo but you can use it with any water tool with a 14mm or 18mm (with the addition of a gong addaptor) ground glass joint i use mine with a cheap j hook (£7) and a precooler (£20) and i just cut down my stock steam and use it instead of buying a gong i cut it so its about 3 inch's long and it fits and gives a good seal to any 14mm ground glass joint
