I think he said it was custom made? I just want a GonG adapter for the top of my pnWT that tapers like the top of that one. Or better yet bends Sherlock style!
Agree, I tried finding a silicon flask stopper, but can only find quantities or 10 or more.
Bet it would not be too hard to make a large enough hole so that a glass tube can be inserted for a mouth piece.

got a friend coming from Toronto next weekend so she can get me the screens, o-rings, ect. Also one of those water tubes (which i know nothing about, and really need people's best suggestion). Which is your favorite? Just saw PV has it for 180 with the power adapter.

I'm new and it has probably been said so many times before but although I'd love to take the time, (to read the 817 pages on the solo, that is) really would, (its the kind of feeling of waiting to get the time to watch the 3 Lord of the Rings or the 3 initial Starwars in one go, a pure joy  ) but a couple of weeks ago I was sick and struck in bed, and started reading the 100 pages of the "cheap, high quality bubbler thread" and that took me three days so I wouldn't dare to try to read the entire solo Thread, well, if you think about it, 3 days for 100 threads, the solo thread would make it a month, NO CHANCE

PS: can one tell I'm totally under the influence of Yan per chance??????

Whoaaa all this rambling on just to say that " why on earth do Arizer not supply O'rings with the solo???" I Guess its like admiting that their device is not entirely perfect,........dont know but i d'love their opinion on it.

Tomorrow I'll send them an email to ask....

Till then: sweet vape to everyone

BYTHEWAY: I LOVE THE SOLO !!!!

can i use two promo codes though? Do i need this:
https://www.planetvape.ca/pvhegong-high-efficiency-gong.html
?
What is TRVB? Do they still have it for 50?

You can't use two promo codes in the one order. Why don't you get your Solo from puffitup? $160 with free shipping to Canada. There are other promos too. Like solo and VapeCase for $190. All the details are at the bottom of thepuffitup homepage. You'll then be able to use the FCLOVE10 code at Planet Vape.

If you've got the cash, a GonG would be good, as your set-up will be shorter and more stable than with inserting a normal stem into the water tube.

TRVB=therealvaporblunt.com. You can't get a PNWT for $50 anymore, but I think you can get one for $65. Theyoyokid1 on ebay also matches TRVB's price if you enter it into the "Make an Offer" box. I got mine from here as TRVB doesn't ship to Australia. Check out the Pinnacle Hydrotube and PNWT vs F-Bomb threads in the glass section of this forum.

Cheers

My PNWT and PVHES glass on glass adapter arrived yesterday. I just spent some time with it. This is my first go at water filtration+vape, and I'm pleased. Seems very efficient and super tasty, etc etc.. Glad I picked it up during the promo last month.

Only issue I ran into was what Google has told me is a common thing called water lock...The GonG is stuck in the pnwt currently...Going to have some fun getting it out tonight..Then, beeswax. Apparently that will keep it from locking up. live and learn.....

Hey @Gray Area, really like this WT. Mainly because of the mouth piece.
Where did you get it from?
TIA

@Pipes I had it custom made by couple of UK glassblowers (I posted the link a few posts back).

Works great and tbh I prefer it way more than my PNWT, for the mouthpiece, and the fact you can tip it right back in use (prob to about 20degs from the horizontal).

Bubbles stack all the way to the splash guard beautifully too.
Cost me about the same as the PNWT did before the discount offer.

Hey guys, I am new to the vaporizing world and I just bought my first vape a couple days ago (the arizer solo) after 7 years of daily heavy combustion. I researched forever on what vaporizer I should get as my first, and I heard so many good things about the solo online and in person so I had to just get it. And here is my take on it.

Now before buying the solo I knew that there was some draw resistance, but I did not know it would be THAT hard. Its like a damn work out trying to hit that thing, not to mention the feeling is pretty heavy on the lungs, not too far off from taking a heavy bong hit and having to hack out a few big coughs to feel normal.

That's really my only problem, other then the fact that it doesn't get me more medicated then smoking would (which I was told it would).

After using the solo for a day and a half, even with the ability of using it inside and not stinking up the place, I really just want to go back to combusting. The solo reminds me of trying to hit a pipe that hasn't been cleaned in months (resistance wise).

That being said, what would be a better replacement? I would want a plug in that I could use that is very very easy to pull on, using the solo almost scares me now.

Ever thought that your doing something wrong? Why are you having a battle with the vape? Just inhale but dont fight it=perfect hits. Try fixing your technique! Crank it to 5 and take a slow slow inhale, do you get alot of vapor?

Mate it with a water tool (bubbler, for example) and the draw will be much much much better for you. You'll get bigger hits and higher highs. With all your research you should've had a good heads-up about the draw technique required for the Solo. Slow and steady draw wins the vape.

You could give up on the solo, or you could try a stem or GonG with a lower resistance. It sounds like vaping through water might be a good idea for you. You could get a Pinnacle Water Tube. This has a low resistance and can be used with a lot of vapes, so it wouldn't be a waste of money if the solo doesn't work out for you.

interesting, would you recommend the cloud hydratubes or something else?

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
If your using the stock stem, try lightly lifting it from its seated position for an easier draw. draw directly into the lungs slowly.. it's not a joint to be puffed at.

You'll also find that vaping takes a few days to accept and appreciate the difference between vaping and combusting, and you'll surely love find its 'positive' difference in time over the after affects of 'smoking' IMHO

I stopped smoking as soon as I bought my first decent vape. I was quite a heavy bong smoker so I noticed some difference pretty much instantly, however a few days in I started to become very wheezy and short of breath. This was my lungs expelling some of the excess gunk from years of smoking (ciggies too) and is apparently common among people who've recently quit smoking. It only lasts a few days so give it time, don't let it deter you.

In short, you'll feel the full benefit of vapor relative to smoke in a matter of days, if not a couple of weeks, as smokum's outlined above. Just be aware that if you were a heavy smoker prior, your lungs may tighten up for a short period after making the switch.

Yup, Randy's good people for sure. Right there in the rare case of trouble. I have no trouble at all recommending PIU. He's got a discount to $160 I hope you got? It's also been reported he's matched other (lower) prices.

This was my experience as well. I found a special on another vendor's site offering the Solo + Arizer PA. I mentioned this to Randy and he beat the price immediately. Great service!

I received my Solo a few days ago and have some initial impressions.

Other vapes I own are MFLB, Thermovape T1/Evolution, Pax, and Inhalater XP.

For my first Solo flight I loaded a T1 sized bowl (pretty small) into the stock bent stem, set it on 4, let it heat up, and went to work. The draw was pretty tight, but I worked with it. I felt a little warmth going in, but I did not feel like I was getting much vapor at all. I exhaled into the light and saw a thin but fairly good sized cloud. As I continued to "work it" I still felt like I wasn't getting much vapor, but still managed to exhale some visible clouds (and cough a little). At the end of the session I noted that the effects of the vaped medicine were very strong. Actually stronger than I've felt before from the same medicine that I've been using for a while (in different vapes of course). ABV was brown towards the heater but greener towards the screen holes.

For my second Solo flight I decided to finish vaping the ABV from the first session (stirred). Same basic feeling of "not getting much vapor", but still seeing some clouds.

So the next day I started researching the high efficiency stems, etc...hoping to "feel more vapor" during my session. That night I loaded a stock stem, set it to 5, and got very medicated again. I still didn't feel like I was getting much vapor, but the effects obviously said otherwise.

As I was reading through this thread I came upon a post by another member that described how deceptively cool the vapor was for them. I realized then that with my other vapes, heat had always been a sensory feedback mechanism I used to determine if I was getting vapor when I drew. None of my other vapes use glass, and in all of them my mouth is much closer to the heat source than with the Solo. It really dawned on me then that I was getting good vapor production from the Solo, it was just much cooler than I'm used to. Bonus!

Aside from that I was pleasantly surprised at the odor profile of the Solo. For me it is MUCH less smelly than the Pax or Inhalater XP during use. This is a great vape for "leisurely" sessions where time is not a factor.

I felt the same way when I got mine. Milkshake draw all the way. Had me thinking it might not be for me.
It will loosen up in a couple days. Also, as stated already moving the stem around and lifting slightly will improve draw.
Trust me, you get use to it and if fact prefer it. I know when the draw gets tight I'm usually in for a good cloud.
Give it a few days.

Not to get too far off topic, but...

Smoking cigarettes paralyzes the cilia in your airways. These are very small hair-like structures that line the walls of your airways and continuously move a "blanket" of mucous out of your lungs and into your throat (you swallow throughout the day, or "clear your throat" to remove it). Think of it like the "wave" that a crowd does in a stadium, only covered by a mucous blanket. That "blanket" traps dirt, smoke particles, pollen, etc... and moves them out of your lungs that way.

When you stop smoking these cilia come back to life and start clearing the gunk out again. This is also why smokers often have a "morning cough" that subsides after their first cigarette. Those "pesky cilia" woke up while you were sleeping (and not smoking), so you wake up and cough out stuff that they removed. After your first cigarette they are paralyzed again, so your coughing stops. This is also why smokers who quit often go through a period where they are coughing and clearing stuff out of their lungs. The mighty cilia are hard at work cleaning your lungs out for you!

I don't know if cannabis smoke or vapor has these same effects. I NEVER assume that cannabis smoke acts the same way as tobacco smoke.

Since i quit combustion, and went to vaping, my lungs and bronchials feel soooo much better. BIG DIFFERENCE! Love my SOLO! My SOLO loves me!

When I smoked bongs I'd spin my weed with tobacco, so "smoking" was a blanket term. I'd be interested to find out whether or not someone who smoked bud exclusively (in large quantities) would experience those "pesky cilia" effects you've described, fogbank.
