Solo arrived yesterday. First impression, feels solid, has a little weight to it. Looks like a perfect fit for a cup holder in my car. Not the most stealthy portable with the glass stems and all but good enough. Charged the unit fully, then did a couple burn offs, then called it a night.
Just woke up fresh and wanted to get a really honest first session. Went with the bent stem as it looked very comfortable, and packed it up with pretty fine scissor cut herb. First thing I noticed was the bowl didn't hold as much product as I was expecting (almost half as much as a PnP bullet). Inserting the stem was a little difficult. The included instructions warned about this and I also read about the issue here so it was no surprise. Applied a little bit of firm pressure and was in. I turned the solo on to the 3rd setting and waited for it to fully heat up.
Rips were a hair wispy, and draw was a little restricted, but flavor was okay and did not dissipate too bad from start to finish. After the auto shutoff I went up to level 4 to finish the bowl off. Even at 4 the flavor wasn't terrible. I also like how the solo doesn't get hot in your hands or on your lips.
I was surprised how long the bowl lasted for how small it was. Very efficient.
The ABV was pretty light in color (which is what I like). I'm not one to stir my bowls but it looked as though the ABV from the solo could go another round after a good stir.
The solo is a good vape for me. It will serve a purpose and I feel happy with my purchase. Very reasonably priced.
These are my initial impressions after only one bowl. I will update this thread with more thoughts after a week or so of test driving.
