Since I am using the hes stem right now I will try it on that one first. I have to get out a stock stem to try that as well but if I like it on hes I may not bother. My guess is that it might be to much airflow with hes but we will see. They mailed it today so I guess I will get it by Thursday or maybe Friday at the latest.

Ya , I still only have the stock ones .
And the air flow is amazing , so I was just wondering if it would ease it even more with PVHES .
I have to get a PVHES anyways .
And you can recycle the tips a few times thru an iso clean if you wanted to .
I think this DIY will reduce the complaints of restrictive draw ...somewhat .

Yep, that amongst others (silicone tube, silicone tube adapting to several drip tips, silicone tube adapting to VG mouthpieces (very nice IMO), some thin silicone cover designed for some Ego e-cig I got on line).

Somehow I keep coming back to the bare glass. Fun to play with though.

So my next thought was to see if a glass blower can reproduce a stem that will do the same .
The glass stem path narrowing down to a pin point hole , with the last inch drastically thinning down .
Just like the mouthpiece tip , creating that funneling down size effect .

What do you think , is it do-able ?
I have to contact Planetvape to place another order , I'll be asking them also .

I like glass you all know I do...a matter a fact I have been meaning to shop for some pyrex all weekend on line but was in a bad mood due to the new jerks that moved across from me. I don't like a diesel truck idling outside my window and blocking my driveway while they back a trailer into some half baked wall they made.. Ok back to more and more glass. I hope you can get it made poon how kewl would that be and I will get my extra length as well maybe woohoo?

Speaking of which, I'm joining the world of owning a Solo. My puffitt went bad int he battery department so I need a new portable. Although I don't vape on the go too often anymore the option to do so is a must. I felt for the price I paid for it I couldn't do any better. I'll post my thoughts once I try it out.

It's like NIGHT and DAY .
You are gonna love it .
Less restrictive draw by far ,
and easier to fill up your lungs with more volume of vapors .
That extra volume per hit ' may ' make you feel more medicated .

@ ataxian , you can bump up the temp . level and it won't be much harsher like before . ( Dry )
Plus I find the budder resin in the mouthpiece adds a little extra flavor taste . ( But not the high )

DBV's are nice vapes.
The SOLO is a device to have in your quiver.
I have a pack of rolling papers untouched from last year.
When you have the urge for combustion grab the SOLO!
It will still get you very medicated.

Ok this was the truth for me but you may be different. Prepare to be pissed about getting the stem in the first time, getting a headache from the draw since you will be doing it wrong and saying wtf are these crazy people talking about this vape sucks. Some might say there is no learning curve but there is IMO and once you learn it this is a wonderful vape. I tried a solo from someone else and it was easy but it was worked in which makes a huge difference. When I got mine it wasn't the same. I used it for I think two weeks and then it had a light show. I did a return and had about a two week break from it as my head hurt from allergies and I didn't want to get a bigger headache as I did when I got it. I then took my time and learned it and fell in love. I now use it daily even when my sinuses are clogged but I do have to change my draw but all is great.

I hope this long boring story helps you if not sorry to waste your time.

I honestly didn't have trouble getting my stem in. Maybe that's why it loosened up so badly?

I came off of a DBV as well when I got my Solo

But expect to learn how to use this wonderful device, and expect big hits

If you don't like the draw restriction, I always have a DBV screen in my Solo. It just happens to fit perfectly inside. But the real key to this vape is a slow draw.

I also use the tubing from it as a mouthpiece.

(For size sake if you choose to quote me delete the URL's of the pictures. No one wants huge photos taking up the whole thread! By the way Dreamerr, I broke this stem so I will be using old photos of it )

overseas ? Maybe others can chime in .

I can only speak for the UK but import fees here are extortionate. At the same time US prices can be half as much as prices here so you have to decide what works for you. What you get charged in dollars we nearly get charged in pounds. So a solo is $160 for you but £150 for us. I'm tempted to risk the tax to get the yet unreleased portable of the moment, though.

Like OF says you need fat, I used to hate cleaning stems till I tried this, not any more , it's a job I look forward to do once a week. What I do is make one of those instant hot chocolate,but use only about a third of a cup water and top it up with creamer, nuke it in the microwave till it's good and hot and stir and lift for a couple minutes with the stem and done, the stem comes out clean with just a little left in corners of the bowl. If I don't put enough fat in for the reclaim to adhere to there will be clumps of oil floating and stuck to the cup when I'm done. One week of vaping with a stem seems to be perfect for me. Also waiting on a Leviathan clear lattice and PVHE gong + other goodies. (Insert Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane laugh). Waiting sucks.

Much performance difference (other than load size) between the shorty and regular PVHE gong?

Held off on purchasing the PVHE stem. Did order the o-rings though. Is there a huge improvement over the stock stem with or without the o-ring?

Lastly (for now) I grabbed a couple of travel tubes from planetvape. Do either the stock stem or the stealth adapter fit inside?

Looking around for the info, but confusing, don't want to order items with out the correct info. I have a set up I want to buy, very inexpensive,figure I will start off inexpensive. As I progress,I will figure out what I like the most.Going w/ J-pipe and a small A/C
A/C has 14mm f/m on top and 14 male to connect to 14.5 f/m end on j-hook ( see post #15553 for the 2 items if needed) my question is ...does the end of the SOLO stem fit into the F/M end of the A/C ,being the measurement of the A/C is 14mm.? If so I will be vaping thru a nice little rig !! need to cool it down a bit,I rarely ever go over 5 and only do so to finish off the remaining medicinal properties,but even at 4 at times I'm finding that I want to cool it down a bit, if I find out that water path isnt for me,at least I didnt spend a good amount of bucks to find out otherwise . Yes, the stem will fit into a standard 14mm female GonG downstem. You can add o-rings or silicone if you like, but it will work by just sticking the stem into your piece.

Yeah I need an edemcation in water path tech.I am LOST brother,but I'm digg'n the adventure, going to order those 2 parts, being on the cheap due to heavy co-pays from the Dr's over the years,months,etc..... but I think it will be a bit cumbersome but I'll be using this set up at home on a desk so it will suffice,I'll let you know what I think when I put it to use, going to order up now.Once again thanks JLB

I just use the standard gonG adapter (18MM).
They have been available.
I use the 18mm because the Bubblers I use have the 18MM fittings.
Whatever your bowl size of your water path might be? 14MM or 18MM!
Some say their is a difference however I get so medicated as it is!
You don't need a large path.
If your just starting:
Start with 14MM at both ends.

I have glass reducer bushing so maybe I run some scientific investigations!
