I've used the Pax and I find it lacking in flavor. It will get you medicated, but it's similar the the Pinnacle Pro where it cooks your herb. They are a very attractive and stealth units, very cute. They come in different colors and all. Probably very appealing to women.

I'm glad you have found vapes that work well for you.

yeah, people always told me the solo blew bigger clouds than the pax. i disagree. i have both and my solo even with the water tool on level 7 blows less than the pax. I also load .2-.3 in the pax and .1 or a little under in the solo.

I think that's no doubt true for you, the way you're using them. But I also believe others when they say the opposite is true for them. I think it's not a simple fact folks can bank on?

I also think ".1 or a little under in the solo" is under loaded. Loads closer to .13 to .16 are more common I think? That might change things a lot, have you tried that? How does Pax do with partial loads? As well?

How does the taste compare? Many object to step 7 without water. While I've never tried a Pax, I understand the taste can be 'sub wonderful'? Taste is often a driving factor with vape owners, an area Solo is generally considered to excel in.

While other guy's opinions are good keys perhaps, I think we're into grey areas that each fellow must sort out for himself? Based on the thousands of 'happy camper' posts on this tread I think Solo is well worth considering.

These points agree on.
I find for a portable vaporizer the SOLO is simple and taste is acceptable.
My plug in vaporizer's are even better however I spend most of my time in the garden so I don't use them as often. For this reason the SOLO fit's my life style like a glove. The PAX looks small and cute and serves a purpose for some. I would never vape in public. Even when it's legal. I don't walk around with a wine glass in my hand in public at 4:20 either. It's a matter of standards. If someone likes a PAX that's your business. However you won't change my mind to switch from a SOLO.

The old adage:
If it's not broke don't fix it!

Basic I know!
Hey worst egg ever,
That night all 4 went online and purchased their own. We've gone from combustion to vaporizing just like that.
I vape alone. However when I first got my medical license all the recreation guys pulled out good old fashion joints of some of the best grown cannabis on the planet. At first it was pretty awesome however after using the SOLO I did not like the flavor of Burning Cannabis. (I can't put a joint to my lips now!)The same guy's made fun of vaporizing. I keep to myself now. Maybe that's why it's called "SOLO"?

I think ARIZER are doing GOOD work with this technology!!
Im an own of SOLO and EQ , since half and 1 month the SOLO, almost 1 month EQ , im hallucinating with the devices!!!!
Saving like 50-70% (depends of day) herb!!! Just can say before i made joints with just 0.40-0.60gr MJ and one ,and one,and one...till 8-12 joints (depends of day) And now: no joints, 8 cigarrets per day (14 1,5 month ago and go down) like 1-2gr , from the morning to the night ... I can say more and more but im stone ,maybe today is a day that i take 2gr???hahaha
Thanks people !!!

Hi y'all you know I'm pretty new to this site and to real vaping. I'm an old hippie mom doing a new hippie thing and that's good. Another hippie thing. Jerry Garcia RIP. Miss him so much. He would have had evryunit; out there; vaporizers from everywhere would want his endorsement.

I have been deciding wether to make the solo # 4 vap

I broke my bong but replaced it :) it's not as nice but it's good enuf and now I like it and think I want to put a little bitty solo on it because that would certainly dress it up; it does well with the exhale upside down but it's just too big. I think the solo will fit it just right.

And am getting a new Pax because that died on me as well 7 months after I got it.

Sometimes I travel and I think I want the solo some sort of small WT (maybe pinnacle pro wt; saw a very cute little bubbler on glass blower direct; I also have my WT from exhale and I think I can use that as well as the bong) I do see that eveyone likes a water tool DW20? What is that?

I don't think I want to use the solo without WT because that's why I have my pax; I really like that unit as well. Ploom was very good with response, shipping, they say they are giving me a new unit. My first experience with customer service on a device was good!!

What I am kinda looking for is a smaller version of my exhale. I love that device. I guess I just love vaping. I keep begging stone monkey to make a smaller more portable unit. So is the solo the one? and what @ the tool. Do I have enough in my asernal that I don't have to get the dry MP. Is glassdirect a good site?

I did look at ED's wooden stems lol. This little devices are very expensive; I tell my husband this is instead of jewerly, handbags, shoes....etc. a girl can dream

Update for my situation, my solo is 2 years old, so the battery may not be as fresh as the first day.. no matter the amount I put in the solo it gives me the same clouds. I get the same amount and quality of hits packing full as I do when I pack loose. I love my vapes both equally and have absolutley nothin but love for the solo and the pax.

Is it possible for the vapor to set off a carbon monoxide alarm? I was just wondering because now I have a carbon monoxide alarm near me and I don't want to accidentally set it off.

Hmmm I dunno really. Vapor doesn't set off the smoke alarms where I work( massive hospital) but never blown it at a carbon monoxide detector. Think you're more likely to set that off if your breath hits it.....dunno for sure tho so try it!!!

Man... although you don't get the clouds with the Solo, it sure gets you medicated!

Damn... I believe I had the deepest emotional epiphany I've ever had. Amazing experience. It was like my emotions amplified and became obvious so that I HAD to address them... damn. This plant goes beyond just a thing for fun... it can also be a tool to understanding yourself on an intimate level.

Also, wow, you can REALLY feel the difference between 3-4 and 7. 7 DEFINITELY gives u a body high along with the really nice heady feeling that you still get with the lower levels. Body is tingly :3

Anything is possible, especially in an election year.....

In theory, no it will not since there is no combustion going on. Combustion makes CO2 (Carbon dioxide) happen, same as in your exhaled breath (about 3% CO2 IIRC). Which also isn't detected. CO (Carbon monoxide) only happens in incomplete combustion (not enough Oxygen normally, not enough to make CO2).

You need combustion to make CO2 or CO. It would not be a good time to have a 'combustion accident'???

Whhaaaa? My Solo billows clouds on every single temperature including 2, and even through water. If I heat soak on 7 through water, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the cloud and a real smoke cloud it's THAT thick. Plenty of videos here showing just how monstrous clouds from the Solo can be. I love my Solo.

My exact thoughts.. Even from whole nugs, the clouds are huge..

I think we should be a little careful here, lest we give the potential buyers the idea some sort of magic is going on? Yes, Solo can make some impressive vapor but needs the right conditions to do so. Good bud is a key part as well?

And 'huge clouds' is pretty subjective, IMO. What's huge to one guy can easily leave the next asking 'is that it?'. It is a portable, and IMO does very well against other portable vapes, but it will always fail volume wise to good mains driven units using way more power and of course is not even an 'also ran' when vapes like Cera EO are in the mix.

I think it's safe to say Solo is at (or very near) the top of it's class. Easy to use. With good bud and technique is able to meet the needs of nearly all folks. Buying one does not guarantee you endless 'huge clouds' any more than buying a guitar makes you a musician.

Johnny, If your Solo isn't blowing clouds, there's either something wrong with your herb or your unit? Make sure you have dry quality herb, maybe that's the issue. Not sure why you're not getting vapor clouds?

OFs right, what could be big for one person may not be for someone else. It might be in the interpretation of big clouds. I'm satisfied with my 2 Solos. I get big clouds.

My Solo produces vapor clouds even on level 3. I can even get a tiny bit of wispy clouds on 2.

I mean, I'm still getting clouds, theyre just not huge. Take note that I was loading only 0.05ish, but I also used a domed screen to get my herb closer to the heat source. It seemed pretty dry to me, and its definitely top shelf. Maybe if I packed a huge bowl I'd get big clouds, but I'm not at this point.

But fuck it, it gets me high as hell so who cares about clouds?

How do i know the solo battery is fully charged?
Some people say it is when it comes to the seventh light, but some people say it takes 4 hours.
When i'm charging my solo, it takes like one hour to hit all 7 lights. Should i wait 3 more hours or is it really enough?

Ah, so! That's maybe a third the normal load? I'd expect 1/3 the normal vapor...... Getting 3 times the herb 'in play' will up the output I'm sure.

But I think you've broken the code on the last comment. If you're happy, you're happy and shouldn't let stuff you read on the web change your mind there..........

Normally Solo flashes the charge light until it's fully charged, then it goes solid. That will always work, but will not give best battery life.

The first time you charge (only) it's useful to 'overcharge', that is go at least 4 hours after the solid light to give the weaker of the two cells in the battery the best chance. After the first discharge you've missed this chance. The first charge only, otherwise there's nothing to gain. After that (and that includes if you didn't) pull it when the light goes solid, no more useful charging will happen after that.

If you want maximum battery life, wait until the top LED (step 7) is lit but the charge light is still flashing and unplug it. This costs you a session or so per charge but doubles, triples or even more the number of charge cycles before the weaker of the two cells packs in.
