It's an opinion, of course, but from what we know it's OK but will lead to early battery failure. The issue being that it will constantly be at maximum voltage, something that's a known bad plan. This is the exact reason it comes to you partially charged. The standard practice is to never store these types fully charged (recommendations are about 60%). Keeping such batteries fully charged will kill them in storage.
IMO the best plan, what I intend to do with mine, is to use it on battery power alone (not plugged in) until 'all the battery lights are out' (or nearly so) then use it one more session (one with 'no lights' seems safe enough) before recharging. If possible, unplugging it before the charge light goes solid (just as the old version). Sessions 'plugged in' I will continue to unplug after before it fully recharges.
Then again, a replacement stock battery is $20 from Randy (when he gets them back in stock.....) and changing them out is pretty straightforward.........
It's all good, just some is gooder?
The main point is to enjoy Solo for what it is I think.

Cool, thank you!
I was actually talking about just leaving the charger itself plugged into the wall after I disconnect the Solo. Does it hurt the charger to do that?
No it doesn't. There is a small amount of current flowing so it'll probably add a nickel to your monthly power bill. Maybe even a dime.
Quick question. Is it ok to leave the charger plugged into the wall in between charges? It's a pain for me to unplug it every time.
Is there any alternatives to planet vape for solo gongs and shorty stems?

OF, Great point about heat of the idle adapter and a quick/easy test at that!Sorry, my misunderstanding.
I think the general answer ('don't sweat it, it's only a little bit of power') is sound. Here's a simple 'test' to decide such things (and it also 'protects' against an out of spec wall wort): Look for heat. Power drawn from the wall and not used to charge a battery has only one place to go.....making heat. Looked at another way 'heat costs money'. If the device is cold to the touch in standby, it's not wasting much power at all. OTOH, things like say your router (that are warm even when doing nothing) are wasting some power, perhaps worth concern. A WW that runs warm (or worse, hot) when plugged in and not doing anything could also well be defective, which is OK if you rent I guess, but best to not burn the homestead down otherwise?

Sooooo, it's been unplugged like twice?(that is, 'IF' I remember to ).

Same thing I explained happen to m1d aswell, it's a faulty battery I believe, should happen about the first 1-2 months of buying it depending on how heavy you use it. Mine died in 24 days of heavy use lol. Arizer will replace. My favorite vaporizer, my m1e solo, has been acting up lately. Sometimes when I go to turn it on it just turns itself off and the blue idle like starts blinking erratically. Or when I go to charge it, it just loops in circles of booting up but never starts charging. It also has a tendency to turn off half way through a cycle sometimes. I looked around for a fix on the internet and the best advice was on reddit, which was to bang it bottom down on a table firmly. One tap seems to fix the problem every time it comes up, but it leads me to wonder what the actual problem is if physical impact fixes it?

By Randy he refers to the owner of www.puffitup.com Check the Solo page there is a listing for replacements there I believe@OF hey this randy person you speak of, how would one go about contacting him? Sorry have not had a chance to fully read thread yet, I am working my way through it!
I thought the only battery options were Centizens, but I would prefer a stock option.
Thanks!
Just an update, received my unit from VapesandParts on eBay. It is a solid unit, had an official Canadian customs stamp on the inner solo box, and had all parts. The unit works well, and I'm very happy. All for $134.99 shipped fed ex. Even got here a day early.
This seller is also sayin he will honor all arizer warranty services to boot.
Anyway, just an update like I said. Seems like a very good seller IMO.
If I have any issues I will report back!
=)
One of the members converted it into a GonG!So I've seen some discussion on this already in the thread, but just to confirm: is there any use for the supplied potpourri bowl apart from covering Arizer's arse? Without seriously modding it, that is...
Also, about leaving the stem in the unit loaded with half-vaped flower: do you guys think it will work if I shut it off, and then hit it one last time to cool it down?
