Welcome to FC.

If I had to guess, it is that you aren't putting the stem far enough into the chamber. Only 10mm should be sticking out and some force is necessary to seat it. The other way to know this is that the glass should be almost flush (maybe a little glass sticking out, less than 1mm) with the pop-top when you open up the "Push-Top Glass Protection." If the glass is above the hatch, then you know it wasn't all the way to the base.

After taking the stem out of the chamber, you shouldn't be able to touch the glass without feeling some heat.
THANK YOU!!!! I feel like one does in a dream where you're walking into a classroom and realize that I forgot to put any clothes on - LOL. That was exactly the problem! I wasn't pushing the stem all the way in. Mia culpa. My, how I really luv this Argo now. :brow:

I'm betting this is the case as well. The first time I used the ArGo I made the same mistake. I thought the stem was pushed in all the way, but soon realized that it wasn't when I wasn't getting decent hits. :2c:

:peace:
Thank you! You are correct!! I felt very foolish (until I took the first few hits with the stem pushed all the way down, that is).

Howdy, welcome to the Forum, sorry it's under such a cloud.

The answer to your question is no, this is not a common issue. AFAIK you're the only one? Lucky you......

The chances of three such defective units in a row to the same guy when nobody else has seen one are not worth considering, it has to be something else?

Excellent suggestion, as CP does so often. The seal is definitely tighter than Solo/Air (in part because it's smaller in ID). You need to consciously 'bottom it out'. The entire stem should be inside with the cover up.

By way of a benchmark, I just set mine to 428F with a fresh charge and no stem it takes 76 seconds (one minute 16 seconds) to reach 428F. Yours should be very close to that if the temperature calibration is correct. I suggest that test.

If the 'time is right' and stem fully in my next thought is poor cure on the herb.....a very long shot.

Good luck with it, please keep us posted.

And stick around, good folks around here you know.

Thank you all! You were absolutely correct about the stem not being pushed all the way down. I'm a happy camper (vaperer?) now!!!!

Am I the only one here who thinks Arizer service may be "too good"? Sending out several replacements without asking the owner to send a picture seems like overkill to me.

What Arizer needs to do is send all questions to @OF and they could save a ton on postage!!

Yeah, maybe. But they'd still run the risk of the advice he might give out when he's been drinking.......

This way they'd get to say "OF who?".

And I'd like to point out the blame for sorting this out really belongs to @cannabis.pro, wouldn't you?

Has anyone had an issue with their device not charging? My unit is brand new. When I plug it in to charge, it shows either 8, 9, or 10%. After several minutes, it shows 100%. Whether I unplug it at that time, or wait several hours to unplug, the indicator shows a low battery as soon as I turn it on. If I plug it back in, the indicator shows around 10% again. I am using the charger and cable that came with the unit, and it is plugged into the wall. Could I just have a bad battery?

Is anyone aware of counterfeit ARGO's being out there on the market yet? If so...anything to look for?

No reports yet, least ways that I've heard?

Two things to look out for:
  • A 'deal too good to be true'
  • Any great deal from China.....or any deal at all?
Arizer is holding a tight rein on price it seems, protecting their dealers and profits. They're not about to sell a batch of genuine ones out the back door and piss off the legit guys. They're made in Canada, there's no way someone is going to buy them there and ship them to China so they can pay more to ship them back over here?

If you want an Arizer for cheap, both Solo I and Air I are safer calls and sure to please.

Good luck.

Did you remove the transparent piece of plastic under the battery door that prevents the device from turning on in transit?

Hmmm. I don't remember either way, but I can turn the unit on, so I'm thinking I did. The unit works (it powers on, I can change settings, and it heats up), it either does not hold a charge, or the unit is reporting the charge incorrectly.

As Baron asked....do you have another battery you can test with? It could be the battery is just bad you have....it happens on rare occasions.

I have an Air 1 and love it... it's my by far my number 1 go to vape. A good friend of mine has a Solo 1 and really enjoy sessions off it as well. I figured if I was gonna get a new one I may as well get one thats a step up. I'd thought of getting an Air II but the ARGO really caught my eye.

Fun world, on one of the other threads guys are busy describing how much better the performance on Air is over Solo??? They no doubt believe it. Can't prove it my me, and most who've tried, but still the net.wisdom is there to see.

I like Solo, personally, as I value the longer battery life and find the unit easier to hold onto with my casual vaping style. I used to use Air as a travel vape, but that all changed with ArGo. Sucker is bity and yet still gets the job done.

I'm sure you'll enjoy yours from what you've said.

I had a weird charging issue and it ended up being the usb wall charger, not the cord rather the connection between cord and outlet.

Do you have a different wall adapter you can try?

Got a multimeter? If so, use it to measure the voltage on the battery directly. At full charge, it should read ~4.2V.

If you don’t have a meter, you probably know someone who does - a DIY-er neighbor, people who work on cars, electronics hobbyists, 100% of electricians, etc.

What a great little unit, but who would expect less of Arizer!I found a glass chillum at one of the trade shows I was speaking at. It fits perfectly into the unit and extends about two inches over the unit. It cools the vape a bit...and makers it easier to pass around to newbies....worth getting one if you'd an find the right size.

Light packing leads to the best clouds in my humble opinion....

Yesterday I was playing with a very good dog and accidentally dropped my favorite ArGo stem on the concrete. :rip:

I got on 420EDC to pick up another one, and found 3 new items for the ArGo!

1) Two-tone Stems : clear on the business end, black above the glass screen. This is a great design improvement, IMO!

2) Narrow Body, Wide Mouth Bubbler : 134mm long “bubbler on a stem”

3) Wide Body, Narrow Mouth Bubbler : 148mm long “bubbler on a stem”

Yes, I spent more than expected...

What are your opinions on the bubblers? I think I’m more likely to enjoy the “narrow body wide mouth” version because it looks easier to carry around in a case. Either way I’m excited!

Vicki.....THANK YOU SO MUCH! Killer bunch of add on's. I need to get one or two of them.

Where did you find them?

EDIT...I see them now at 420 EDC......I cant decide with one of the bubblers to get.....maybe the bitter one I think. I like the smaller mp and the fact it will hold more water. I hate the bubble straw ones for the Air and Solo....so little water but it is a pia to deal with using....and you cant draw too hard with it....but it would work better with a 45 to 90 angle at mp I think.

@420EDC Can you list the dimensions of the max diameter? I need to get a plastic case for the bigger one I just ordered. Thanks.

The case dimensions to accommodate each bubbler was one of my biggest questions as well.

@cannabis.pro would you be able to give us an official answer on that by chance? Apologies if I’m overassuming representation from your avatar.
