With the top up, of course, this doesn't work. Is it so important that the top is up?
Again, I don’t know... I just thought a flush mount top with the top up might be less obtrusive and better protected when in the pocket than having the glass stem sticking up...?

Pay me no mind... it’s a stoned, rainy, boring day over here...

I see a lot of searching for caps going on. Am I the only one that doesn't have a smell problem with the ArGo when loaded and in my pocket? I'd like to know if I'm starting to lose my sense of smell...would hate to be the only one in the room that didn't smell my own vape!

I'm more interested in keeping lint and insects out of it between uses personally. Smell, generally is not an issue with me due to social conditions.

However, be very careful not to underestimate smell based on your own nose. Ever know a smoker that understood how he (and all the clothes in the closet) reeked to non smokers? Or how parents can sniff out their kids lighting up?

My wife can smell my vape when its in my pocket.
She can smell when i open a jar of bud.
Funny thing is she didn't know the smell until i let her smell the goods.

Like I said, saturate your sinuses with it for a while and you get 'nose blind'. Well documented. As far as not recognizing the odor, that too is pretty standard as I understand. Some smells are unmistakable, others less so. Our favorite herb smells a lot like other plants in some ways?

Oh, see, my ignorance is showing! Sorry!

I thought you couldn’t cap it with the stem installed and the top up... guess I didn’t look at all closely enough.

And you would have been right there. As I said above. The top has to be down or you need to 'open up' the hole in the cover (should be very easy to do if you insist). Corks/stoppers avoid the 'bigger OD' problem but introduce other problems in the process.

"Make no adjustment to your mind, we discovered a fault in reality".

In the end the cap over the whole end might be the call for the truly smell conscious? Hey, you could cap the stem then cap the entire top! Belt and suspenders! Now to seal up the inlet vents.......

Ha, I’m not worried that much about smell... people (outside of work) would probably think something were wrong if I didn’t smell at least a little bit like weed... I’m more just worried about pocket debris and damaging the stem... yeah, but don’t worry about me, as I wouldn’t be getting one of these for awhile anyway. Just thinking out loud in text... I shall stop now.

Yes, I did (try it). Yes, I have (reported it). At the time I said I took my fourth ArGo hit through water. Have done it several times since. It worked well before Christmas (and still does).

Since there are no dedicated stems you have to invent some coupling, I used Silicone tube and published a photo of the actual piece of tube at the time"

Different units, styles and warranty concerns.

Arizer is the better choice, imo

I'm with Brother JC here (again.....it seems to happen a lot....). Too many reliability problems for my taste. Vapes should be reliable tools, I'm confidant of that with Arizer and hear of too many problems with GH to see an advantage.

It is your call, some guys really like their GHs, but you read of unexpected failures and random troubles 'over there'.

The grasshopper does have an exceptionally high fail rate.
Some say the argo gets hot in your hand. Is that true?

Yes, that's what I hear/read as well. Not only chronic problems requiring 'fiddling' with the unit to get it to perform but (probably more important) random (unexpected) outright failures? That kind of stuff can really interfere with your enjoyment. Not good to approach a session with a 'I hope there's no problems'.............

IMO ArGo gets warm, not hot, in use. You won't burn yourself and drop it but you need to be careful how you hold it to avoid the warm corner (under the MP, lower right with screen facing you and stem up). Normal left hand grips work well for me, for right hand use I usually turn it over so the warm part isn't against the heel of my hand.

I covered this all in some detail earlier in this thread, like you last question about WT use. In fact it's mentioned in the very post I cited above. I think you really should go back and read the thread rather than asking the same questions that have been answered already? Please? TIA

Arizer told me it's the same heater design as their other vapes, just shrunk down a little and tweaked. They are claiming an isolated air path on this one, but I'm not aware of any tear-downs yet to confirm that. I haven't been able to get the air flow to completely stop up no matter how much stuff on the outside I cover up...vents and usb port.

I’ve skimmed back to the older pages but still couldn’t find the screens that can reduce the volume of substances one can use per load. Anyone know which ones fit these stems?

You asked this question before:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/arizer-argo.25853/page-17#post-1203356

Just after MB brought the topic up. He answered you promptly:

Did you miss that? I suspect the answer is still the same. Bill's a careful sort, most all of what he says is experience based. I think you can put considerable confidence in his advice. FWIW I do.

He redirected me to a previous post I couldn’t find.

Edit: Didn’t actually see the link he posted. Will check it out

This thread is too quiet for a newly released vaporizer from a top company. Does that mean that everyone are too high to comment or that noone buys this one?
