Just saw this on Instagram too. Too cool. So soon after the Solo 2... wonder how many of us Solo 2 people will need or want this. I want .. don't need. Arizer Portables are for at home use for me and I can't imagine its more powerful then Solo 2?

I also can see a lot of people wanting to have the Solo 2 at home and the Air 2 on the go. Consistency between environments; a unique device suitable for a unique need. Pretty damn cool.

Excited for details.

I have an OG Solo thats on its last legs and then some that i bought in 2014, i also have an Air i got a year ago, i really like the Air for the portability, the ease of switching batteries for extra power when you need it, i mainly use my Air with the tipped stem through water. The Air II looks exciting, if its a little more battery life and takes less time to heat up, as well as having digital temp step by 1degree increments, i think its a winner. It could prove to be more popular than the Solo 2 since everyone is looking for more portable vaporizers.

Thanks @jakeattack77 I was excited to see it and was hoping there was more info!
If memory serves me correctly, Arizer usually doesn't announce something until it is really close to launch. So hopefully more will be quickly revealed.

A battery icon with a positive pin at the top, the bar goes down, no need for a microscope for that.
But I wonder what the third button is.
Power on? (I think pressing both button to turn on/off was a good idea preventing accidental powering)
F/C degrees? (Is a whole button needed for that? Well, holding up or down buttons already have its function, so maybe)

I like that they've upgraded both of these.
I want one, but already have the old version, maybe if I could one day sell it, I could make an upgrade.
Meanwhile I'm going to watch for more upcoming vapes, as getting something else that is new and different could be better that just upgrading.

Just me opining, but if the Air 2 doesn't heat up in 30 to 40 seconds, I can't see a reason to upgrade to this version.

In fact, without a faster heat up time I think the Air is going to lose ground to some of the competition, e.g. The Fury and similar units. :2c:

i think that based on the caption of more performance, and the what looks to be a larger heater that we will have faster heat time :)

Faster heating time, a longer battery life, a USB charger and perhaps a bit more of air flow and I would be set on the new generation.
Those were the only things (besides the ugly flip switch) that drove me away from the Air to other products.

How long does the Solo II need to heat up?

I am very intrigued to say the least, have to say i was close to pulling the trigger on the Solo 2, but i think i'd like the Air 2 more just for the portability as well as removable batteries. Only problem is my Air 1 is still chugging a long like new haha,(not really a prob), might have to part ways with it if i do decide to grab the AA II. I always enjoy giving my money to Arizer, their products quality and longevity speaks for itself.

Looks like it will be much the same as the solo2 but smaller and replaceable bats.

This is a big deal for those who look to their portables for briefer sessions, whether they be out-and-about or at home. What separated me from my Air was the long warm up time and ...

the air flow issue. From what I've read and what I can imagine with regard to the AA oven modification of a year or so ago (the bi-level oven floor), and what folks have been saying with regard to the Solo 2, air flow should be less of an issue with the AA 2. I'm looking forward to this, and perhaps seeing the AA move back into my rotation.

I'm torn, because on one hand there's a LOT to like about Arizer in general. I think these upgrades are extremely practical and useful, but on the other hand, I don't really think the vapor quality or signature of the original Air is that great.

I feel like this vape would be quite a bit better if the stems bowl was half the size. It just takes too long to finish a stem. Even with faster heatup I can't imagine this being a good vape for taking a puff and coming back to later with the current stem.

Hey I've been trying to decide on a new ultra portable vape, deciding on a gh, but after seeing this I'm think about the air 2 aswell. I already have a mighty, which is basically a portable desktop, so I'm not looking for a new big portable vape but something small that I can toss in my pocket and take with me where ever. What do you guys think would be better for that this or a gh. I like that the gh let's u take a hit turn off and come back later, but will the air be able to achieve that by taking out the stem when your done and coming back to it later?

Regardless of the large differences in vapor quality between the Grasshopper and Air (I have/had both)
the Grasshopper reliability still seems to be a huge problem, whereas Arizer makes quite reliable products, so that must surely weigh into consideration. The Air is always going to toast the herb more that the GH though just due to the ovens design. Even with faster heat up time, the Air 2 is still going to require a session to get the most of your herb I would imagine.

Thanks I might be going with the gh then it seems to fit my wants for my next vape more, air seems more like a different take on what my mighty already does for me
